Jupiter’s devil form could also have taken inspiration from the Mongolian Deathworm. Another thing I want to point out is the design of Jupiter’s devil form may have been influenced by Monstro from Disney’s adaptation of Pinnochio. Even down to the habit of swallowing people whole.

Now that i think about it, it makes perfect sense that haki is stronger than devilfruit powers. If df powers are the manifestation of someone’s dreams and haki the manifestation of willpower, one’s own willpower to make their abmitions reality should be stronger than relying on dreamspowers, which may have not even been your own dreams coming true in df roulette. Does this make sense to any one else?

The real-life sand worm is a monster of Mongolian myth, the Olgoi-khorkhoi, more commonly/simply known as the Mongolian Death Worm. It's listed as a modern day cryptid as people think it still hunts under the sands of the Gobi Desert.

As I understand Dunes sand worm is based on mythical blood worm from Mongolia in 1920's named Olgoy Chorchoy. So this may be a combination of both things

The gorosei and oda never said they have devil fruits whenever a devil fruit is shown we get a fruit name and the model we never got that we got demon name and the giants said there is no race or power heard of like that

Jupiter powers likely come from the mongolian sand worm. As such, each gorosei likely as a dangerous legendary monster from east asia countries (japan, china, mongolia, korea, vietnam)

I think that’s the case if your fruits animal species is different from yours, since luffy is human and ate a human model fruit I think it automatically put him into a hybrid form by default
Alternatively from my previous comment maybe luffy after eating the fruit transformed but not noticing that and not realizing he wasn’t in his normal body just kinda stuck with it and never realized the truth. This could mean his various gears are similar in nature to choppers rumble forms where it is a “transformation” but it’s not his proper base/hybrid/zoan forms in play.
His is a god fruit like Sangoku. Cosider G5 as full nika and all others as hybrids.

I think I know what mythical creature Ju Peters worm is based off: it's the Mongolian Death Worm, a fire breating worm like mythical creature which does tie in well with the rest of the Gorosei zoan fruits being based off Eastern asian mythological creatures.

The source if the gorosei power will be the source of devil fruits. And they will end up having the traits of ALL devil fruit categories. That's why i think when he's hit its like a logia but he's clearly in zoen form.

I said it from the begining that the gorosei were a devil race once saturn first transformed i also said that i think BlackBeard and Nico Robin is also part of this devil race thats why we havent seen robin throughout this arc and when she defeated Maria Robin used her devil form but we didnt see what she realy looks like caused once the gorosei would have been revealed we the readers would have piece it together

I was thinking what if they are nightmares. Think of it Imu is the opposite of Nika. Nika's powers are based off imagination and dreams. Imu having the powers of nightmares would line up as a foil to Nika powers. Also, we are assuming the devil fruits were yokai based ones what if they were nightmare constructs of Imu and were giving human based devil fruits. We saw how Kanjiro could make semi sentient sketches. What if Imu created these nightmares, gave them human based devil fruits, they would then have nightmare powers. Like crazy regeneration, teleportation, and being dreams can make peoples head explode as they attack the subconscious of the weak willed. As for their haki it could be a portion of Imu's since they are his constructs. And since inanimate objects can eat devil fruits constructs should be able to. Thoughts?
