I love this it's almost perfect! The only things that could be improved is adding some reverb built in and maybe more soft Reeds but otherwise, it's perfect!
I was among those who was skeptical about your project initially, but I've changed my mind. I'm going to give it a try. But most importantly, I found your performance brought me to the music, where as most other performers try to attract attention to themselves. Your tempo is in perfect defiance of those who use music to aggrandize themselves. Many thanks.
I didn't actually perform it myself, I just controlled the registration and I made the instrument from free samples. The performance is a MIDI file by Andrew Maguire.
Hi, I am very impressed by the number of stops you managed to assemble in one screen. I've just discovered OrganBuilder software, yesterday. A marvellous tool ! Is it overkill to ask you how to insert buttons on the central part (under each manual) and where I can find the "GC" cancellation button ? Thanks
Go to panel and in there you can click generals and I am pretty sure it will be there. I have mine to where if I click c on my laptop keyboard, it is the GC piston. Right click the GC piston and go to shortcut, click listen to event and press the key on your computer keyboard that you wish to be the shortcut
Its certainly a great advertisement for the abilities of GO Im trying to convince our church to use a virtual organ too. Our organist has died and Im thinking we might have to go down the midi path. Lots of oldies who still like that style of music. I have downloaded and got this set of organs up and running. Any chance you can link to that actual midi file?
For Pitea, it'll download an "orgue" file, use something like 7-zip (www.7-zip.org) to extract it. After installing 7-zip you can right-click on it and there should be a 7-zip menu that lets you extract it, and then after that just copy the files into the new "Pitea" folder you made.
I like this samplset due to its large size and the fact that its free. Like you I noticed variations in the amount of reverb throughout the performance. Could this be due to the individual ambient reverb of each organ used for sources? Does Grandeorgue have a reverb option to add overall large cathedral effect. That would be awesome for this great samplset.
@@jb4214 Yes it does (Audio/Midi settings -> Reverb). But first the original reverb needs to be disabled (set "release tail length" on the main toolbar to a small value).
@@jb4214 Some of the incorporated Sample Sets are "wet" and some are "dry". This is one reason why I prefer to create a larger "VPO" sound by opening multiple copies of the software of a computer with a resulting compositing of several organs. So beautiful. May I know how I could download this specific sample set? I tried the links ok the description but it's not work. New friend organist here. Hope to hear from you so I could use this on my organ music recording
What specific problem are you having? Most of the links refer to the free third-party samples, and should be able to assemble into a single instrument and load.
How many gigabytes does this beast need? Amazing work, well done! The FCCLA organ (or organs) is indeed quite something. I have been to many recitals there.
i am back again :D, i have downloaded all the files, but it keeps on saying every note in every organ doesn't exist. is there any way i can fix this? thx!
@eventhorizon005 How did you get this file with this 160 rank combination? The website where you sent the sample of this organ does not have that number of records.
Hi. What you could do for a Resultant, is essentially take a sample (32ft), and duplicate it into 2 ranks. Use one rank for unison, and the other for quint, and direct the stop to those ranks, ensuring that they play correctly. This may seem complicated, but it's possible if you analyze the structure of stops in a GO ODF, and using Organ builder portable, put two samples to one stop and it'll generate that way.
@@EmeraldPixelGamingEPG Some sample sets such as Burea Church has extended the 16ft pipes for 32ft. In the file such as "PEDBasun16" Select 024-C.wav to 055-G.wav for a total of 32 notes a put it in a folder named PEDBasun32 for example. The same can be done for "PEDSubbas16" too.
I actually successfully completely redid the original .organ file @eventhorizon005 created to fit my custom 5-manual organ using 2 Novation Launchpad Mini II's for stop control. Hello. I am getting a rather specific error. "Error while loading rank Sharf first rank pipe Kalvtrask_Church\Octava4\057-A.wav: Failed to open 'Kalvtrask_Church\Octava4\057-A.wav'" I looked through the organ file because I had another that had the .wav file incorrect. I made the correction and that loaded, but then I get this error. I don't see a typo in this line of code. Do you have any idea what may be causing this error? Thank you. And thanks for making this organ available. Bill
I'm not really sure what the issue could be, maybe make sure the folder name (Kalvtrask_Church) is correct. Unless your system is running out of memory during the load.
The same thing happened to me. It would not load correctly. I tried opening grandorgue and went to file then went to open recent and clicked thoryk custom and it opened just fine.
@@eventhorizon005 Thank you very much, sir. Finally I understood the sentence. Now I have followed all your instructions and the organ works perfectly (it loads without error and without warning). Very nice work, thank you very much.
Thanks for posting this, when the 32' reeds kicked in during the toccata it brought a smile to my face.

this is a really beautiful organ! i've been trying to download it, do i save the custom file into a notepad doc then (try) to change its extension?
its also saying that the stuff like "Pitea_F#.wav" doesn't exist.
Yeah, it's a text file, you save it and make sure it's extension is ".organ" and it should work then.

what's difficult about it

You can save combinations in it, but to customize it you need to edit the .organ file manually, which is how I made it.

how do I open the full organ in grand orgue once I've downloaded all the sample sets ?
All you should normally have to do is open the thoryk_custom.organ file in GrandOrgue and it should all load as long as you have enough RAM memory.
Is it transposable?
GrandOrgue lets you transpose, yes.

This sentence needs to be more clear - "Copy the "Chimes" folder in the archive into the organ's folder"!!!????
If you open the Barton 3-7 zip file, there's a "chimes" folder inside it. Copy that into the folder you made for the organ.
