This turned into quite an epic little review. Really enjoyed this and the air suspension tech has me interested now. Will have to take it for a test drive, if it isn't too big for our roads. Thanks guys
Excessive praising as expected since this was clearly sponsored by JLR with all expenses covered. It would have been an acceptable presentation if the word "sponsored" was added to the title.
Tire/rim sizes of 275/45 R22 to 255/60 R20 are entirely or largely inadequate for sand driving. I've been living and off-roading in the Middle East for 12 years. Preferred tire/rim sizes are xxx/70 R17, xxx/75 R16 and xxx/85 R16. When these tires are deflated to 12-15 psi they offer superior traction in sand. Deflating 275/45 R22 tires has little to no effect. Electronic terrain systems do not come close. On long, remote desert trips like e.g. to the Nafud or the Rub Al-Khali, you see only Toyota Landcruiser (mostly 70, 100, 200 series), Jeep Wrangler and vintage Nissan Patrol and Xterra. For more than one reason.
Nope. JLR is the parent company, Defender is the brand, 130 is the model. You dont say JLR Defender just as you dont say Toyota Lexus LX. Land Rover is there for the badge for aesthetic and nolstagic reasons.
@@lgvd94 yes I know, I was implying that the title of the video is incorrect. You can no longer say Land Rover Range Rover, so you can’t say Land Rover Defender either.
Same with Porsche; anything italian; Cadillac; GMC Acadia (2.25 Stars on every website) Lambos' Astons, Morgan's, basically anything Brit. The list is endless really. The only 2 cars worthy of their plrice tags are Toyota engines and Mercedes engines. I crawled into a SEL Benz cab after landing in NZ and saw the Odometer as I perused his licenses and meter and starting charge meter to make sure he wasn't gouging the "dumb fat Yankee" just to see 525,000 milles on the ODO. I started laughing and asked how many engines he's put in it over 7 years? He said all I do is change the oil buy tyres and brakes. No engine issues ever and only ever replaced a CV joint. Made a believer outta me. Besides the new INEOS that have yet to make it stateside I'm paying close attention to the P90 HSE prices and reliability reviews. Is the Defender 130 the best version of Defender?
tthey look good but the build is garbage
@@bobbyurbina4488…actually it’s one of the best built, stiffest and rugged chassis ever produced in the car world…🤷🏻♂️

Thank you!
Best video I’ve seen of the Defender. Well done!
Hope your channel takes off soon
Thanks Andy appreciate it ❤️
I think this is probably my new favourite Defender 😃😅
Not big enough? Get a Chevy Suburban! Almost 6 meters!
Really nice work behind the camera! 👏🏼
I can't afford to talk about the nicest & most luxurious off-roader on 🌎!
Looks absolutly amazing, but Im still inloved with the 90 version
Best review I've ever seen
Thanks

For good reason, it's a damn good SUV
Who is sponsoring you ?

Will this fit in the school car park 🅿️
Nice Van
Nice but obviously targeting the Dubai super rich
Gerry McGovern didn’t want people to say Land Rover Range Rover - so that makes this a JLR Defender.

For Americans, this truck is barely big enough.
Driving a RR is different.
If you buy it, expect it to spend more time at dealer's repair shop than in your garage.
Have you been there?

WTF!!! 90, 110 stands for their wheelbase
It used to, in the old one. The new one just kept the names, but the wheelbases are totally different now, not corresponding to these numbers.
I wish ❤
