I went looking for the primitive 7 gill shark in False Bay, Cape Town. There guys are down swimming below in the kelp, somewhere between 9m-12m down. Such peaceful sharks.
I still regard the great white as a potential man-eater... but there are so many other sharks which are so peaceful

I thought these sharks where pretty tame. However some guy recently came and gave a talk at the aquarium my mom works at, and said that at sunset, they could be vicious and attack like a pack of dogs to devour their prey. Lol... who knows. These animals where definitely not in attack mode when i was around though.

Amazing man. Wish i could be there. Couple years back, i was Snorkeling and freediving in the Galapagos. I was around 6ft then( i am a bit taller now) and my group were at a small island where there where a ton of Sea Lions. My friend and I dive in, and from the shadow emerge two 6 or 7ft long blacktip reef sharks. we just were still and let them pass. Frightening but an amazing sight non the less

It was amazing. The two sharks swam past us at touching distance. Didn't touch them as i didn't know how they would react. this was at about 8 to 10m deep. or so. don't remember exactly as i didn't have a dive computer or any thing like that.
