Its been 18 years to the date today and the loss of life is still continuing due to the after effects of that day. Rest In Peace to all the 343 firefighters and all the members that have passed through out the years due to PTSD, respiratory issues and other diseases.

I remember the day in 5th grade we watched on TV the devastation taking place in New York. When your a kid you don't understand the situation but as you grow older you realized that was real that many didn't come home. My birthday is 9/11 I don't celebrate it due to the national tragedy. I stay silent and pray and the next day I celebrate it. But that day burns in the back of my head forever like it was yesterday. Rip to those brave souls and many who worked there. My grandpa knew the pilots and the stewardess on both flights my grandpa worked at United the last time he saw them he waved them out. Every year my grandpa cries for his friends who died.
