Thank you for making this rare video available, about one of the most important filmmakers in the world. Sembene left a collection of works that we all need to experience.

it actually just premiered here in Detroit at the Cinetopia Film festival. I was unable to see it, so thats what led me to research Sembene on TH-cam. This is one of the few videos of him speaking. But it seems like all his films are available on TH-cam, so i can catch up on the earlier ones I hadn't seen. Thank you again for making this interview available.

no better person than ousmane sembene could have created this film on such a topic. moolaade strikes at the heart how the gender that brought all of us into the world has to continue to struggle against its own offspring (sons) to make us all free.
