I'm pretty sure he got banned since he has stopped playing. And yes, it was a 5 stack. He kept telling us to watch the match replay after we lose cause he is legit & we are garbage and whatnot. Classic. xD

I doubt the boosted players would get banned, because it'd be very hard to prove that they knew they were playing w a cheater.
@@itsKyee1 I think it would depend, cause let’s say they have played like 20 matches with the guy, you would get sus of it after that many, well, atleast if you are smart and know what to look for, it’s why most people who play with cheaters get banned, almost all games have a tracker to see who you have played with and such. Rust has a similar thing, it tells the admin of the server who the player has played with during the wipe, if the person(not the cheater) just joined the team, then they would have a chance to not get banned, although Most Rust servers have their own Admin teams, unlike Rainbow.

11:35 That’s what I’ve been telling everyone since siege day 1. The report button is just a Feel Good Button for the person pressing it. It’s only purpose is to make the player feel like they are contributing to getting rid of cheaters.
I know it's a very bad thing for them to say this but gotta be honest he definitely has a point on "manually banning based on Twitter evidence is bad" because it really is. And from what he said you should use official ways to report cheaters with proof, in other words use the forums and/or in-game report button or any other way that isn't freaking Twitter.
@@KazuoLucas Especially if you consider it is just a clip, not the whole game. Everyone has had a round that looks like cheating. If you ban people based on one round, one clip, it would easily get people banned that arent cheating whatsoever.
@@dadadidadadam I played a few hours of siege after watching these hacking videos as I had one kill where I shot at a wall where bullets were coming out of and headshotted a guy. Also a double kill where i headshotted 2 people with what appeared to be one bullet (might have been separate bullets idk). These were two separate games out of a few dozen, were probably a combination of luck on my part and throwing on the enemy's part. My KD is 0.64 XDDD.
I'm pretty sure it actually helps with detecting cheaters, without reporting their AC would be just scanning people randomly and there's no way its gonna be effective until the playerbase is down to like 200 players. The real "feel good button" would be to submit clips of cheaters on Twitter to get that one guy banned (who will probably just buy a new account) but it doesn't do anything for the overall problem.
Finding out this is basically a confirmed fact from ubi themselves really sucks. I know the guy mainly deals with esports and twitter roasting but still. His word hold at least some weight. I didnt even report, I would just use it as a threat that some times works and shuts people up. Now that wont work either cause now everyone will know even if you do report, it doesn't matter so the threat and "what if it does work" is dead. The boogieman ban hammer is dead.
I'd also like to point out that in rounds four and five on the first game, Bandit put down NONE of his four batteries. He picked Bandit just for the gun+C4.

I think everyone read the message wrong. I think the twitter post was meant to mean that the ubi team aren’t going to manually go through each twitter post about a cheater they get tagged in as that would be stupid. Probably not that they don’t manually check the reports.

Well according to view count on youtube the best content is talking random funny stuff while playing very weirdly and getting unbelievable kills. This content is just the best type of content for Varsity specifically.

@@SpaceMissile there is plenty of content like this for csgo, since they got their so called 'overwatch' program, where you get randomly assigned a replay where somone got reported. Also I think GetFlanked recently did some R6 replay cheater analysis too.

Guy aiming at a wall is something I used to do a looot... I'm not saying he's not cheating cuz he is, but on console (having my TV pretty far away) I would hold angles like that so I don't cover my vision of what's going on behind the door for example (since as I said playing on TV, sometimes just the reticle obstructed vision enough for me to not notice enemies fast enough)... Also another thing is aiming with walking instead of actual camera movement... it just reminded me of that lmao

I like the concept of this series but it makes me sad and overwhelmed to watch players cheat on a game meant to test game sense. It’s sort of like seeing your favorite products unavailable at a store because others keep shoplifting them. And the store will do little to nothing to mitigate the theft because they have insurance. 🤷🏻♂️

I like to watch replays with the enemies outlines disabled because it makes it obvious, if you yourself can't make sense of how most of the time they knew then they're prob cheating (unless you're braindead at the game and they simply know more spots to check than you do, but even then it doesn't seem like they're really cheating)

btw, what I found out about vanishing sound is that it happens as soon as an operator used his ability. For example, this happened to me once when Lion used his Scan, afterwards there was no more sound. It came back as soon as another Operator used his ability.

Not just cav. Anyone could be roaming up there with the Cav. Unless the team has full eyes on the rest of the enemy team, or had already droned upstairs you don’t know how many are roaming.

11:30 Rogue-9 (I think) made a video about this actually, he had a video unlisted/private for a report and showed that it never got a view. The actual video goes into it much better
Yeah it's R9 and the report was about someone saying racist stuff in chat and BMing him in the match. Then he went and made a report about himself and that also didn't get banned or anything so he concluded that most reports, possibly all just get tossed out

If you had shown me that and just the last 5 seconds I'd call bull, any decent player would check before going up, especially when it's a Cav

Worst thing is that I swear they don't check any of the reports, it amazes me how many people can get into games and be useless just for renown. Catch a lot of people standing at spawn doing the bare minimum of movement so they don't get kicked for inactivity

There are demons in Siege telling me when to prefire
Working in the industry where I had the ability to ban and have access to reports. Theres no way you can investigate all the reports that come in and properly make a decision on each one. You get just as many fake/griefing reports (if not more) than real ones, and investigating them takes time.
Every time I see these videos I think on the cheaters who watch over and over to learn from these guys mistakes
Also I am not trying defend cheaters but as a console player pre aiming at the wall to line up the hallway beyond is very common i see it done and do it myself all the time. Obviously it's way different on console but to me saying "they aimed at the wall so must be cheating" doesn't take into account this common aiming trend. Also I'm silver/ gold so not high rank
I think that one instance of a suspicious aim isnt enough for him to say it's walls. It's when it happens all the time. Also the way one aims with a controller is quite different than mnk. What your talking about with controller is when someone strafes into an angle and keeps their aim still. with the people using walls they will peek an angle and also track the play with their mouse not just keep it still.

Most Cheats doesn't show drones unless they are rage (Drones/Gadgets require alot of effort to code).
The most popular ones (cheap ones) display either Skeletons/Names or just Cav Esp (the detected thing)

The one advantage of console siege is the only cheaters I’ve found are people with those perfect recoil usb sticks and it’s like 1 in a 1000 to run into one.
11:20 it works! I remember in one game, I had a hacker on the enemies team that had wall hacks, speed crouch (crouching extremely fast) and aim bot! Everyone in the server reported him so he got banned permanently from other reports for same reasonings. So it does work but it probably requires a certain amount of reports for Ubisoft to check the person out.

With the last video, the hacker had a trigger bot, if you mouse over the enemy's head it'll fire a bullet to get the kill so it doesn't require any type of reaction since the bot fires the bullet.

I have to agree that banning based on Twitter evidence IS bad, because a lot of times what Twitter considers 'hard evidence' is a 10 second clip of a guy getting a headshot, and as these very videos show us, we need to examine more than a little clip. If you went off the first few round of the game with Qunitz he's getting floored, you'd think he was just trash and it was a false report. After that he toggles on and the rest of the rounds speak for themselves.

I've started noticing people doing things similar to what I see these hackers doing where one moment they play like a pile of molten garbage, and the next round or so they know where everyone is, get perfect headshots or slightly follow people through walls. This is on console mind you, and while people like to think their arent hacks on console you clearly have no idea what your talking about.
I don't know why people try so hard to hide their hacks... when you toggle, 99.99% of the time you're gonna get caught in match replay.
I knew watching that long video about people pretending to insane would be useful.

R6 is harder because there’s destruction and debris from walls and it’s also only in the beta version so don’t expect it to be that great
Varisty should turn on and off the outlines when they look at a wall just to see what it looks like in game. It would make sure it’s not a coincidence and they happened just fall on them.

in terms of the manual ban, they are likely using reports to create ai to detect cheating. It takes time and a crazy amount of data to make something like that accurate. Even outside of that the reports likely have a reason even if it is just a placebo for now.
