Thank you so much!! It has taken me a lot of attempts and a lot of different tutorials! This one was so easy to follow and I did it! We now have an automatic email reminder for our tech subscriptions at a school. Great life saver so we do not forget anything!!

Excellent tutorial Mynda, thanks for sharing. I couldn't add the filter for the second action as I failed to find the proper format for Canada EST. Otherwise, it worked fine.
There isn't a standard time for Canada as it covers numerous time zones. For example, Calgary is Mountain Standard Time and Toronto is Eastern Standard time. Hope that helps.

Great tutorial Mynda. If I need to capture all rows/records that fall within say today and 60 days later, how would I best build in the filter? Tried to replace the "eq" with a "le" in the list filter query, but it didn't like it.
Hi Gordon, in that case you're filtering for dates that are equal to today OR less than or equal to today +60 days. So it'll be something like: ReminderDate/all (r: r eq 'formatDateTime(utcNow(),'yyyy-MM-dd') or r le 'formatDateTime(addDays(utcNow(),60),'yyyy-MM-dd') ) That might need some tweaking as I'm not expert on ODATA functions. You can find out more here: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/search/search-query-odata-logical-operators

If we want to send reminders daily until the reminder date is changed manually (by us), instead of just once prior to the expiration, how would that logic work in the filter query? Basically, let’s say I have a task due on 11/24. It alerts me for the first time on 11/14, 10 days before expiry. I’d want it to alert on 11/13, 11/12, 11/11, etc

However, if I send a large number of emails to the mailbox the flow does not process all of them. In my example, the flow received about 400+ emails within minutes but only processed about 100+. Awesome to hear!
Great example. How do you format to look at tasks within a week range vs daily?
Wow. I hadn't expected that it would take so much to automate that operation. Your usual excellent clear explanation notwithstanding, it doesn't exactly motivate me to play with Power Automate - at least until I have a real use case for it.
I get it, it can be a lot to take in - hope you'll give it another try when you do have a real use case!

Excellent tutorial Mynda, thanks for sharing. I couldn't add the filter for the second action as I failed to find the proper format for Canada EST. Otherwise, it worked fine.
Thank you! I wonder if you can use the equivalent US time zone to convert your date/time.

So it'll be something like:
ReminderDate/all (r: r eq 'formatDateTime(utcNow(),'yyyy-MM-dd') or r le 'formatDateTime(addDays(utcNow(),60),'yyyy-MM-dd') )
That might need some tweaking as I'm not expert on ODATA functions. You can find out more here: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/search/search-query-odata-logical-operators
@@MyOnlineTrainingHub Unfortunately OData doesn't support the "le" operator in the filter query. Will keep trying
@@gordoncprice Did you ever find a way round this? I am also trying to only get content from an excel table based on whether it is within a 30 day 'deadline date', as opposed to all content, all the time.
Hi Mynda, thank you for your tutorial. I have a question.
I have a question, I want it to continue sending e-mails after the reminder date has passed too.
When you delete the related row or update the date in Excel, it should stop send mail.
for example:
today: 13.07.2023
reminder due date : 13.07.2023 (This system is sending mail ok)
tomorrow : 14.07.2023
reminder due date: 13.07.2023 (this system should send to continue mail during a mounth remaind up to change or update date)
How can i do this, which parameters should i add?

If we want to send reminders daily until the reminder date is changed manually (by us), instead of just once prior to the expiration, how would that logic work in the filter query?
Basically, let’s say I have a task due on 11/24. It alerts me for the first time on 11/14, 10 days before expiry. I’d want it to alert on 11/13, 11/12, 11/11, etc

how can we setup a RAG using this format?
Great tutorial. But for some reason I was not successful, even though the flow ran successfully. I get "ActionConditionFailed. The execution of template action 'Filter_array' is skipped: there are no items to repeat." at "Filter array" process step. Can you please help what is going wrong here.

Best video ever after looking into many video tutorials and succeeded to sent email on reminder date looking into your video. But want to send it until the due date comes (recurring everyday until the due date). Can you help me on that ?
So pleased it was helpful. Regarding sending it every day until the due date, unfortunately, I'm not a Power Automate expert, so I'm not sure myself. You're best to post your question in the Power Automate support forum: powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Power-Automate/ct-p/MPACommunity
Is there a way to use lessOrEquals to create a List rows so that an email will be sent every day until the "due date" in the spreadsheet is changed?
Probably, but I'm not a Power Automate expert, sorry. You're best to post your question in the Power Automate support forum: powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Power-Automate/ct-p/MPACommunity

Can we use same in lower version of Excel example office 2013
It shouldn't matter what version of Office you have AFAIK.
Awesome use case, thanks for the clear steps and links!
I'm glad you found it helpful!
Could you post correct formula for Central standard time below? I have tried over and over to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
formatDateTime(convertFromUTC(utcNow(), 'Central Standard Time'), 'yyyy-MM-dd')
@@MyOnlineTrainingHub Thank you so much!
Hi. This video is very helpful! I followed these steps last october 2023, all were working. But I think there was an update with Power Automate (obviously the look of it is now different). Not sure if this has an effect on the previous flow I made copying from your video. Would it be possible if you recreate an updated video, using the examples you have here, but in the new platform of power automate? Really hope you can help out. Thank you so much 😊
That's a shame. I'll add it to the list of video topics, but I'm not sure when I'll get to it. In the meantime, you're best to post your question in the Power Automate support forum: powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Power-Automate/ct-p/MPACommunity
@@MyOnlineTrainingHub thank you so much!
Nice explanation but i have one query though, As you have applied filter for date, I have multiple conditions to follow through. Example I want only those data sent through mail that does match with the requirement date, also whether any column contains 'not implemented' text etc. So how can I use multiple conditions in there cause by using 'and' it is throwing error saying only one condition is allowed.

That seems odd. I'm not a Power Automate expert, sorry. You're best to post your question in the Power Automate support forum: powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Power-Automate/ct-p/MPACommunity

Amazing video. I was stuck on formatdate. Didn’t find any video that used the dynamic content in html… finally!!!! Pls pls pls create a power automate list. It is not there when i looked in the playlists.. waiting for more power automate videos!!! ❤❤❤
Glad it was helpful! I'm not a Power Automate expert, so probably won't be publishing a playlist on this topic 🫤
@@MyOnlineTrainingHub I understand!! Will keep looking for more on this to be made by you 😉 this was pretty simple, clear and instantly useful. Loved it!!! More success and power to you..
Thanks for this video, so easy to follow! I have one issue that I’m struggling to resolve: I’ve set up the flow and tested it on a sample group (10 people) which all works as planned, however when I use the flow for the full list (approx. 900) the flow seems to max out at around 32 emails. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
So pleased it was helpful! Not sure about the limits. I wonder if it's your subscription with Microsoft that's limiting it. You might need to check your account settings.
Would a Delay help?
Can I include a link in the generated email to a Microsoft form or other file like Excel that could allow me to prompt staff for further questions or information? Thank you for the helpful video, and whatever guidance you can provide 😊😊
Yes you can!
Thanks Mynda. Useful lesson! Thumbs up!!
Glad you liked it, Wayne!
