@@KristinKali Elvis loved music, loved performing, and loved his fans! I read that throught his career, he got nervous before a performance! He was concerned he wouldn't be good enough. He always gave his best! Hard to believe, but he was afraid he wouldn't be remembered!!! His death was incredibly hard; especially since he died on my 3rd wedding anniversary! Ever since, it's been "the day Elvis died"; "oh, and our anniversary"! He actually became a "joke", and was made fun of by many people! So, it's very exciting to see young people discovering him and his music!! You'll hear plenty of negative about him; but I still think the good outways the bad!!! He had such a naturally sincere, charming, fun, respectful way about him. Not to mention his natural talent and good looks!!! 💯 Guess I'll just write a "book" here, since I haven't shut up!! LOL 🤣 He was born and raised in the gettho, wasn't real popular at school, was learning to be an electrician, and was driving a truck. One day, he recorded a song for his mom. Then, he was snatched up, thrown onto a stage, began touring, was put on TV, did a couple of movies, and became very famous very quickly. With all that, came MUCH criticism, disrespect, persecution; to the point of being called the "devil" by preachers, and "Christians". Parents banned their kids from seeing or listening to him! There was name calling, and threats. Somehow, he handled it all; at such a young age, and with no experience! He had death threats at different times, and wore a bullet proof vest under his jumpsuit sometimes. So much, when all he wanted to do was sing!!! 😎🕺 As you saw in the video, he had trouble being still. If music started, Elvis started moving! You've probably noticed his left leg going when he's performing. 🤣 He told someone that if he had to be still, he couldn't sing! A preacher from his childhood said he was a ball of energy set to music!!! 😅😪 Last thing, you've got to hear his laugh!!! After singing some of the songs so many times, he would change the words, just for fun. There's an audio of one time he did that, got tickled, and couldn't stop laughing through the rest of the song!!! Google "Are You Lonesome Tonight", laughing; you should find it. 🌟⭐🌠⚡

Elvis was before my time, but a brother in law, Rick, was a fan. Rick was a true original. He would go to a junkyard, buy a junked 57 Chevy (highly prized by collectors) and get it where it was just barely running. He would then sell it for 10 times what he spent to get it. Rick would then go fishing and when the money ran low, repeat the process. Rick died recently. I wasn't sad. I celebrated his life because he lived it on his terms and very few people do that today.
👊💙🗣Wow! That is very true.. we never know how another measures success.. and your brother in law measured his by the way he controlled his life. I get that ☺️💕🙏 great comment Pope

A lady once told the story of browsing at a Memphis car lot. She walked by this loaded Cadillac, and reacted like "WOW!" When she was leaving a few minutes later, the car manager stopped the woman, handing her the keys to the car. She asked what was going on. Oh, they were screaming from the beginning of his career. He’d gotten a bit used to it by this point. Elvis had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making his band mates laugh.
When he first came out they did alot more than scream. They ripped his clothes right off his back, pulled out pieces of his hair as well as their own. One of his photographers in the 50's said the young girls would get so excited and emotional their bladder let go and the women in Vegas ran on the table tops to get to him. Some without underwear. He was the first white man to bring sexiness to musical performances and the girls and women of all ages went nuts. I wasn't born in the 50's and I was 14 when he died. I wish I would have seen him. Good lord!! that is UNREAL!! That is really BOLD! I can't believe the things these women would do??? geez!! I in a way kinda feel bad for Elvis :0 at least let him keep his hair!

There was a "singer" named Tiny Tim that sang like Elvis did right at the first. I'm guessing that's why he did it. Tiny Tim sorta wrote the book on WEIRD at the time!

love your hair also love how you care about peoples feelings it is important but some people don't seem to car and spread false rumors. i also first saw the reaction with fats domino and enjoyed because i love fats, someone below mentioned (elvis and the black community that echo will never die) good one to start with . other ones are (SUSPICIOUS MINDS 1970 LIVE VEGAS) (AMERICAN TRILOGY 1973 ALOHA FROM HAWAII ALSO LIVE) always try to do his songs live on stage that is where he really shines
Thankyou Steve! I do care... its stressful.. but i always want to really know if people are genuinely good.. and I am so HAPPY to know that he overwhelmingly is! :) thankyou for the tips!
That's pretty good for live, sounds vary similar to the original recording that I remember.
The original was, One night of sin is what I'm now payin for. They made him change it
ahhhhh!! i see, I sure wish youtube did not block 3 of my Elvis videos...i am going to see what else besides ... what must be the most popular that i can do? somekind of Aloha special was BLOCKED bigtime... i was so upset! and the other was a beautiful song he sang after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr had passed... I just wish TH-cam would let content creators do what they need to for others
@@KristinKali try, home is where the heart is. Simple but good
This song was originally titled One Night of Sin and RCA wouldn't release it unless it was rewritten and rerecorded first
TAKE MY HAND PRECIOUS LORD please, one of his gospel songs. He was only 21 years old in 1956 when he recorded it.
The RECORDED version please 🙏
First thank you for these Elvis videos.I read a lot about E and it's just this thing he had,his presence. The guys said that when he use come to down to the tv room from his upstairs you could not hear his footsteps but you knew he was about to enter the room. And everytime he met people backstage after a concert in Vegas,as soon as he entered the room all attention was focused on him. Thanks again for your uploads
Thank-you for caring enough to leave a comment! Elvis is one .. just one exception to this planet.. we were fortunate to hear what true talent sounds like ❤️☺️🙏 thank-you for that interesting story also! I believe you
@@KristinKali I'm sure today that God had a higher purpose for his music, his voice nurtures the soul, that's why he hits the target every time. Thanks for taking the time to reply as well
Even the most masculine men know they can't touch Elvis.
Oh, they were screaming from the beginning of his career. He’d gotten a bit used to it by this point. Elvis had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making his band mates laugh.
Song was originally going to be called one night stand but that was accepted so they changed it to one night with you
Fats Domino dedicated his last performance at blues festival in Bogalusa LA (2017) to his friend Elvis 😎
❤
When he first came out they did alot more than scream. They ripped his clothes right off his back, pulled out pieces of his hair as well as their own.
One of his photographers in the 50's said the young girls would get so excited and emotional their bladder let go and the women in Vegas ran on the table tops to get to him. Some without underwear. He was the first white man to bring sexiness to musical performances and the girls and women of all ages went nuts. I wasn't born in the 50's and I was 14 when he died. I wish I would have seen him. Vicki
Good lord!! that is UNREAL!! That is really BOLD! I can't believe the things these women would do??? geez!! I in a way kinda feel bad for Elvis :0 at least let him keep his hair!
@@KristinKali The man was so kind and humble when asked about them tearing his clothes off, and I quote " If the fans want to rip the shirt off my back let them, they're the ones who put it there". Vicki
@@richardeidemiller6739 lol wow! you cant argue with that!!
You should react to Tryin to get to you from the same 1968 Comeback Special.
Acemannismorris ❤
Definition of sex appeal.
You said it! 🔥🥰
REACT TO “HEARTBREAK HOTEL” (68 comeback) PLEASEEEEEEE, it’s just perfect
There was a "singer" named Tiny Tim that sang like Elvis did right at the first. I'm guessing that's why he did it.
Tiny Tim sorta wrote the book on WEIRD at the time!
He liked to make fun of him self, very funny man.
I’m just learning about him ☺️💕 I think that is really cool of Elvis ... I love ppl who don’t take themselves too seriously
Hi..i just came across your page. I dont know if anyone has requested but if not could you do An American Trilogy? Also a couple of others would be My Way and In The Ghetto
Can you please play l've lost you by elvis
