    There are some more tools that I use for the build. I will list them completely once I do an inventory of all the tools.
    In this video, I tried showing the step by step build of how to convert a Hot Wheels diecast into a RC. If it was not clear for some portion of the video, please leave a comment below and I will try to elaborate.
    I showed two different wiring diagrams here. One without the on/off switch and charging port and the other with. I did not film any of the soldering because I suck at it and instead of showing you all the wrong ways of doing it, you can follow the wiring diagram.
    In this case, I did not want to use any tail lights. I only wired up the front lights as fog lights. If I had done tail lights as will, they would just be wired to another channel on the receiver.

    • @SlickDiecast
      @SlickDiecast  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The N10 motor shafts are 1mm in diameter. Most of the time, I use a 0.95mm drill bit to enlarge the hole on the wheels and then press it onto the motor. Sometimes I use a very small drop of super glue on the shaft then push the wheels on.

    hot wheels have ventured into RC themselves at this scale, but so far only with the tesla cyber-truck. it's a decent little effort- entertaining- but they've gone with the idea of two motors at the back, with steering being fixed at the front & achieved by what you might call 'skid-steer'.
    I got two of them- fitted LEDs in one of them for my son, & the other one is in bits on my table while I ponder an exercise like this (i.e. install the guts in a different vehicle).
    I got started a few years ago installing lighting kits in my lad's trains, buses & (lately) hypercars, though these are usually the next size up from hot wheels.... generally four inches or bigger. this means that there's usually room for a 2032 in a little case, a slide-switch on the base of the car, & sometimes some extra feature like dash lighting, flashing roof lights on emergency vehicles (I found a thing the size of a transistor that is an all-in-one flasher circuit), or on his bugattis & mercs, lights on the bottom of the doors. the tiny LEDs that come pre-wired are perfect for this sort of thing, & the hot-glue gun is just right if you screw up. couple of times, there hasn't been an easy way to back-light an existing plastic insert, & so I've drilled right through the metal to make room for the LED, then fabricated a lens for it using glue (& red nail polish if it's at the back).
    the best looking set of the lot are his 'richmond' london underground trains; I swapped out all the plastic couplings on these for small necklace magnets, & fitted interior lights. a row of six or seven of them looks exactly like the real thing.

I have seen un your thingiverse count STL for certain car models and other named "Micro RC conversion base plate". This one can be used for many Hot wheels car models? Thanks

Quick question because I just bought a devo 7e running deviation 5.0.0 so my question is how do you bind your transmitter to a radiolink reciver.
