Excellent video. The MM300 is a very interesting watch. It's big, but, looks small, even, in my 6.25" wrist. The crafter blue strap is perfectly made for this watch. Absolutely transformed. So easy and comfortable to wear. Rugged and look different.
Nice review. I really like this watch, I am seriously considering purchasing this version, it’s a lot, but I have only heard good things about this model. I really like the case design, has a very futuristic look.
The new MM300 has about the same dimensions and features as an Omega Planet Ocean for half the price. In the world of luxury watches -- where nothing is really logical -- that's a pretty good deal. I'm really glad to see that Seiko addressed the issues of the previous generation (aluminum bezel insert and Hardlex crystal) in this newest model. It looks great, I have to say. Still, at that price point I would look very hard at a Tudor Black Bay.
That's the rub, at this price point there are some really nice watches to take a look at. But, if it was me 3 years ago.....I probably would have taken this in a heartbeat over a Tudor. Our tastes an loyalties can be all thrown out of whack by this watch collecting addic...."Hobby"😉👍 The addition of sapphire and ceramic was a spectacular upgrade 👌 Take care Lee!!
My sla021’s bezel and chapter ring are misaligned worse than this, as are most of them I find pictures of on instagram. Such a shame to ignore these details on such an otherwise beautifully made watch. Still one of my favorites. Is it worth sending it to Seiko or another watchmaker to try and fix it; I don’t know if it’s worth the risk. If anyone else has tried this please weigh in.
Yes. Thank you sir. Gonna get this for sure. Japanese brand? You get 100% of the watch for the exact price. Swiss? You get 90% of the watch for 5-10% of the price. That's why ironically the rep watch will never die. Japanese culture, never overpriced their quality.
Japanese culture in general is to strive for total perfection in everything they do. As for the bracelet which many snobs frown on, it is functional, durable and secure. Pins? There are many reasons to use friction pins over screw pins; number one is security. Don't get me wrong, I love my Datejust with an Oyster bracelet, but I also own a Seiko 5RS (Sport), and its bracelet is much tougher. I really don't believe Seiko is skimping there.
I really like this review because, in my mind I have not over that Shikoku can produce a high end watch. Unfortunately I have never handled one. I think for the money I would go for a Tudor Black Bay just because I know what I’m buying. But I do like this watch although I’ll never own one. Thanks for showing it to us.
I have this watch and it gets more wrist time than my Rolex nodate sub and Omega Speedmaster... have a Darth Tuna on its way... we’ll see who stays king of the wrist
I'm planning to buy this watch this year. I really like it. I want to attach a Strapcode Angus Jubilee bracelet. I think this watch would also look great on a Hirsch Liberty leather strap. The only thing that bothers me is that they lumed the bezel only up to the 20 mark. Why save lume? Putting lume on the whole bezel would make the watch 500 bucks more expensive, right? By the way, i don't know why, but the watch looks very small in your hands 😁
I've felt that way too. I guess since they historically used 19-20mm they are sticking to that smaller size. Glad they are using 22 on the Turtles, Samurai etc. Cheers Levi😁👍👊
seiko isn't stepping up their game they're increasing their prices. There is a difference. Now seiko is up to the compitition with regards to specifications but completely out of touch with pricing. 3000 dollars for that. No thanks.
Sorry, late to the game. Why not $3,000 for the new MM300? In reality you can get them for around $2,600-2,700, give or take. Aside from the less than stellar clasp, I think it’s not priced ridiculously. It seems to compete reasonably with other well known manufacturers at it’s price-point.
£2k, and the bezel doesn’t line up. That is beyond parody. What a damned shame. I feel almost hurt. I want, to want it, but that would leave me raging. Do they do that on purpose?????
🤣I don't think they do it on purpose. Its so slight on this or im just cross-eyed!. A stunning watch nonetheless, with impressive specifications. Cheers!!😁👍 Stay healthy!
Love this watch. Must disagree with your view in the bracelet clasp. Not good at all. Too cheap for this model. Clasp sticks out too far & just isn't good enough.
I just received mine this last week. worth every penny. solidly built, well crafted and fits well on my wrist. so glad I purchased it.
I this past summer bought the SLA047J1 limited edition 140th anniversary Marine Master 300 . The best watch I’ve ever owned .
I got mine from my friend got it for 900 papers and box 1 bracelet 2 bands i mint condition love my new watch

Awesome! Love this one. Thanks for the vid Aron👍👍
Thanks for tuning in Bob😁👊👍 I know you love your Marine Master!! Have a great weekend!!
WIsh they didnt remove the lume pip and triangle at 12 oclock on the bezel.
Excellent watch! One can only hope it’s within reach some day. Love the mono-bloc case. Just a really great looking watch. Nice review Aron!
Thank you Ray!! If you want it bad enough, you'll get it😊👍👊 Cheers buddy

thanks, i would suggest if you could make a comparison between the sekio marin master and the steeldive or san martain same look from ali express
Very nice, just way above my pay grade, Thanks for the look💥
Top grade Seiko diver!! Cheers buddy, have a great Saturday 👍
Ok, that clasp is cool

holy moly 2,500 k+ -super nice but I think I'll hold out and spend a little more and get a Breitling Superocean. As always - great review.
I have the 42mm 500m BSO. It's a spectacular watch!! Good plan 👌 👍😊
@@OFD I know- probably watched it (3) times. LOL
perfect review length - well done
This is one for the collection. Great reviews.!!👍🏻👍🏻

nice watch love it... here in uk there around £3000 bit to much when u can get a tudor for around the same price.. cheers
Definitely a great point!!
Now, that's a watch...
Very much so!
Fun fact: Chester Nimitz wore Seiko
Nice watch, I would buy it if it didn’t need to be sent to Japan for service
It looks so silly at 20mm lug width. It would definitely be my 2020 grail if it were a 22mm width.
I've felt that way too. I guess since they historically used 19-20mm they are sticking to that smaller size. Glad they are using 22 on the Turtles, Samurai etc. Cheers Levi😁👍👊
I suffered to get that watch
Hopefully not too much!😳 Cheers dude 👍

They do take their time getting to where others have been for awhile, ie sapphire and ceramics. Cheers Derek 👍

@@wellgeo223. How about 150 dollars for a nice Vostok.... Not a fan of seiko at all...
@@derekshearer9049 Fair enough if you’re just not a fan. I think I’d rather have a MM300 over Tudor Black Bay, particularly the 41mm versions.
@@wellgeo223. I've held that particular seiko and own a Black bay 41mm... Sorry the seiko is just not as nice. That is of course just my opinion...
