HOW LONG does POLICE ACADEMY take to complete?
In the US it’s about four to SIX MONTHS. (States require more training time to become a BARBER than a police officer)
In Sweden it’s a 2.5 year university level education (6 months as an intern).
In Finland basic police training requires three years of study and is considered a Bachelor's degree.
Norway has a three-year basic education and a possible expansion with a Master's degree.
Romania offers three levels of training for officers, (Bachelor's Degree (3 years), Master's Degree, (2 years) and Dr (3+1 years)).
In Serbia the training lasts for 1 year and is followed by a 6-month probation period at a Regional Police Department.
In Slovenia candidates spend eighteen months in basic training in order to become a police officer, followed by a six-month evaluation period.
In Spain basic training ranges from 5 months for an entry-level policía Nacional or Guardia civil to 9 months for a mosso, but realistically takes 18 months to two years including practicums and additional training.

I had a friend who's parents hit him and his brother a lot, they were very rebellious and mouthy with authority. They were also very angry and impatient. What it come down to is fear, when they are not intimidated by someone, they end up unleashing all the anger and years of being forced to submit as a child on others. They also become good at not getting caught. You'll find r3dneck kids often have very strict and controlling parents and they are some of the most rebellious when they are young in my experience. I doubt this was the case with this guy though.

That depends on where yoh live. All you need is one ahole cop that just wants to write you a ticket either way. Either way acting like a fool like this kid did most of the time does not work. Ive acted both ways towards cops and both ways had different outcomes then i expected. Acting a dick didn't always end up with me being slammed with tickets and being polite all the time didn't always end up with the cop being polite back or decreasing the tickets. All stops are different. All police are different. In the end though acting a fool when you are in the wrong to begin with is not ever a good thing to do. Only act out against authority when you are fighting for the truth and the truth is being suppressed!!! I BELIEVE THIS KID IS AN IDIOT, AND SO WAS THE COPS WHEN HE INITIALLY SPOKE TO HIM LIKE THAT. The cop could have been more civil to the civilian he is supposed to serve and protect. They shouldn't be confrontational to the ones they are protecting!!!! The way he acted could of set forward a chain of events that could of led up to a fight and or shooting. Innocent people could have been injured or killed. All because some cop escalated something with an idiot that is just as stupid to escelate things too. IN THE END YOU'LL HAVE HALF THE POLICE FORCE SHOOTING UP THE TOWN AND HALF THE TOWN SHOOTING UP THE POLICE FORCE ALL BECAUSE THE PROBLEM ESCALATED BEYOND CONTROL. THE ONLY TO STOP IT WILL BE TO SEND A THIRD PARTY TO MEDIATE IT WITH NUCLEAR OR BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS!!! All this could have been avoided though using simple deescalation vrs going balls to the wall like chad thundercock at someone for driving 10 mph over the speed lookout llimit in a parking lot!!!

Although I don't know the current requirements, back when I was younger (a thousand years ago), police officers were required to have a college education before entering the academy.

A few years back I was driving home in California on the toll roads after a trip to Arizona. It was the final 45 min. stretch before I was home and I had never seen any cops on the toll roads before, so in my infinite wisdom I figured speeding wouldn’t hurt. I was going up a hill and as I reached the top I saw a cop on the right side of the road and immediately applied my brakes to slow down. It was already too late. Once I drove by I saw him pull off the shoulder into my lane. He followed me for a mile before he pulled me over. Once he approached the car he asked if I knew how fast I was going and I replied “pretty fast.” He told me the radar clocked me at 98 in a 65 and that it was felony speeding and I could lose my license. I sincerely apologized and admitted I was in the wrong. He put 85 on the ticket and let me go. I went to traffic school and paid the fine and haven’t sped on the tolls since. Sometimes it pays to admit you’re wrong and eat some humble pie.
