Oh my Gosh I love this. Brings me back to the time I was obbesed with Pinocchio. One day my dad brought down two creepy puppets from the attic and the other day I stole a wooden log from my cousins house and placed it on the dinner table in front of him and asked him to make me a puppet. He smiled at me and of course my mom gets mad and throws the log out the door and sends me to my room until dinner was ready. Good Times.
My first exposure to opera was the Salzburg marionettes. Magic Flute a very long time ago: I was three and remember it the better part of a century later. Fricsay(the recording) with Stader D.F.D. Wunderlich and Streich. What an introduction to the greatest art form ever. Is there more information on the particular musical backdrop? The Elvira is wonderful!
Cute....but fucked up. Clearly they didn't have the budget for moving mouths. (Though that was the best portrayal of the statue I've ever seen. Big and scary! Something that only film can perfect.) 😊😊😊
Excuse me !!! Cute ?? Sir in the distance from the stage to the Auditoriom you would not see mouth movements. WFG. The Son of of the Set designer A. Schneider-Siemssen.
Incredible puppetry and miniature sets!

Amazing!
This is so cool!
Я не любитель марионеток, смотрю и слушаю из-за Чезаре Сепи и Леонтин Прайс, превосходных оперных певцов
Не " из-за"....,а по-моему скорее
" благодаря " превосходным оперным певцам
In Hungary, in BUDAPEST will be a Don Giovanni...2021.09.04.MÜPA...

There was no need for moving mouths , because the isdance from the audedorium was so far away you could not see the mouth movements aniway .
