    It works well for me, even better than the last episode I did on this, back in 2019.

    The reason the APK size is different, is because. APKMirror is showing the MiB (Mebibyte) number, but using the MB (Megabyte) prefix. The difference is that MiB is using multiples of 2 for it's units and MB is using multiples of 10, i.e. 1 MB = 1,000,000 Bytes or 10^6 Bytes, whereas 1MiB = 1,048,576 Bytes or 2^20 Bytes.
    120.2MB = 120,200,000 Bytes. 120,200,000 / 2^20 = 114.6 MiB

      @tyg3rpro 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your close, it's actually multiples of 8, so 1 MegaByte is 1024 KiloBytes, people started to round it off in the late 90's early 2000's and somewhere along the way it became common, not sure why, but otherwise you are correct

    great tutorial, instructions all worked. however the lag/FPS is terrible for me on perhaps an older firestick. I really just want to watch films from my laptop wirelessly.
    Has anyone had experience getting a new firestick and seeing better results?

    Hello there, thanks for this explanation. I have a fire stick where they hide developer options, but I found a fix by clicking 7 times on the My Fire TV Stick.
    I wondered if there was a way to do this with any assistance from ethernet connection? My wifi isn't great, so considering ways I could boost the quality of the games coming here...
    Thanks!

    • @RetroBoxRoom
      @RetroBoxRoom  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is possible. You can buy a powered USB hub and a USB to Ethernet. Please check the internet for ones that best suit a fire TV stick.
      I use this setup these days not to increase speed, but to decrease lag.

    When your controller is connected via bluetooth, does the Select button work properly or is it remapped to the Android back button?

    Thanks for your video, helped a lot to create a work around for my kids to play some appropiate games from my steam library and cant mess around with my desktop pc. Only missing piece is a controller, since im very confused about some amazon reviews. Some mention the bluetooth controller is not working with Fire TV Stick and some other mention it depends on the firmware of the stick. I am running OS 5 - and i cant find a clear answer if a normal xbox one bluetooth is working or not.

    • @RetroBoxRoom
      @RetroBoxRoom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Thank you for the compliment.
      As long as you've got the latest firmware on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and a Bluetooth capable XBOX One gamepad, you're fine. Basically as long as the plastic around the XBOX button is the same as the bit of plastic as the rest of the buttons, and not different and more shiny. You've got the correct version. I hope that helps?

      Hello, Xbox Bluetooth controller works! I just bought one and tried with my fire tv.
      You have to make sure you update your controller with a pc/Xbox. Out of the box it didn’t work, because the controller had an old software. On pc with the Xbox accessories app I just connected my controller with a usb cable and updated the controller.
      After that my controller connected with the fire tv no problem! Before that, the fire tv would see it, but pairing would always fail.

    Thanks, this worked great. I'm having issues using a Bluetooth headset for FireTV while using Steam Link. The audio simply doesn't come across. Both work fine individually, but I cannot use them at the same time. I'm going to try reverting to an earlier version.
    Any other ideas?

    • @RetroBoxRoom
      @RetroBoxRoom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Does your TV offer Bluetooth for the audio, rather than connecting directly to the FireTV?
      If not, does the TV have a headphone jack? If so, try a third party Bluetooth 4 headphone transmitter. I've used one of those in the past.

    I don’t understand if it’s more powerful… Thanks :)

    • @RetroBoxRoom
      @RetroBoxRoom  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As I point out in the video, if you can get at least 100Mbps is far better. So depending on your WiFi, I would recommend giving the 4K Max a go. The extra 30/20Mbps (as long as your 100Mbps connection is constant), it would be very helpful. As always more power and a faster speed, is always better.

    Got the program working on my tv but it runs like absolute garbage. It says I have a good wifi connection when I pair them. Main problem is my nintendo switch pro wireless controller doesn't work properly at all. Remote setup doesn't seem to play games like subnautica or slime rancher very well at all. I'm going to try charging the controller but I doubt its the issue as we can play switch games just fine with it. I'm trying really hard to not buy another computer but it doesn't look like this is an option sadly.
