I just swapped mine over to all rpm arms and I’ve noticed the same with it widening. I thought this was based on the slash and I used slash rpm parts but I’m stumped as to why it got wider rather than staying the same
Hot Racing makes a Steel 49T center diff gear for this instead of the plastic ones. Also What’s the biggest pinion ⚙️ you think will fit on there being that it is 32p now & not 48p..
That center dif kills drifting completely. You'll want to put some of those Talbot special ear plugs in there to lock it up a bit better. I just stick with an upgraded slipper.
If you put 3s or bigger on the xl5 rally car you break lots of things lots of times! I just spent $100 for all of the hd parts so i stop breaking rear driveshafts and hubs. I have the castle copperhead10 and 4500 kv motor
Hello could you help me please.. I got a max 10, 60a. And ezrun 3652 3300kv. I tried it straight into the rally and it's not got no drive like it's slipping. I tightened up the slipper clutch and it helped but soon started slipping again. I've ordered the centre differential kit like yourself. What size pinion would you recommend to use and what size spur gear would you use? And is 3s ok to run on that set up?
Hey my name is Alex kowaliuk I'm 32 and I live in ga iv bean driving traxxas for 20 years my most recent vehicle is the stampede 2wd vxl but it's very hard to drive with 2wd vxl and high center of gravity so I'm gonna buy the rally brushed next month the same car you have and I'm gonna put the traxxas brushless system in the rally car and the brushed 550 12turn and xl5 in the stampede should even this things out I also have the 4tec 2.0 with the mustang body but I need an brushed system for that to because the castle combo I put in it makes the 4tec unusable like seriously even though it's 4wd the thing just spins
Is it advisable to run this differential with a 13T 32pitch pinion with 3650kv brushless motor? I'm looking for more than 15mph speed, something around 30mph should be more than enough, what pinion size do you recommend for that based on the motor size?
Well 3650kv is the speed of the motor not the size and even if you are only wanting 30 mph I would recommend you don't gear it as though that's all you want cause trust me you will want more... Is it a 3s power system your wanting to run and what size is the spur you have?
So mine actually came with the hobby wing kit. Couldn’t find a single one on amazon. I’d recommend getting something like this should give you some adjustability as well. www.amazon.com/MakerDoIt-32P-5mm-Pinion-Gear/dp/B07RVJCQS5
Why do you have to keep replacing the stock slipper clutch? I have a hoard of Traxxas RCs and I have literally never had a slipper clutch fail even after years of abuse. I've even had the nuts come loose allowing them to slip so much they were smoking, replace the nut, readjust, still worked. You sure it was adjusted correctly? Also that piece that melted can be replaced with an aluminum part and you'll never have to worry about it again. Much cheaper than the entire diff.
I got it more as an upgrade I wanted differential action, yes it’s set up right. It’s a slipper clutch from a stock brushed rc it’s going to fail on 4s lol. It’s already a $15 part and I don’t want to have to keep replacing it. It’s also I wanted a bigger pinion pitch so it wouldn’t strip so easy.
@@RCMANIAC-YT I'm in the Uk, so the rally is unavailable. I had to build mine by finding the parts and converting an old Slash. Finding the correct arms and the bumper kit took forever. I'm looking forward to seeing more of yours running. 👌🤝
I know this is an older video but this is exactly what I needed to see to decide to buy one of the new bl2s
What's the benefit of running a max 5 system in a 10th scale?? Wouldn't a max 10 be good enough, and still 4s capable?
I went with the heavy duty center diff. It's filled with one million fluid. Leaving it until I get it out to my local track once all the snow melts.

Oh that “drifting” in the garage looked like a ton of fun!
This thing is really turning into a true rally car!
Yessir... it’s getting there
True rally cars don’t have a center diff 😂

What kind of LiPo batteries do you recommended for the Fiesta? Specifically without that battery brace extension

What was the idea on using rustler rear arms? Aren’t these using slash-length arms?

Could you please send me a link where i can buy a 32-pitch pinion gear?
Are there any ways to upgrade the CV axles on these cars? Traxxas done a really shitty job as far as have a variety of aftermarket parts on this car
Do u have the part number for pinion u fitted . I currently have a hobby wing motor with a 21 tooth pinion but need the 32dp.one
you have to use rpm telliride arms i have them on mine same width

How's that diff holding up with 3s?
Where do I get the metal spur plz on amazon
Awesome. Love the progress

Do you have a part number for the 32 tooth pinion gear that goes on the motor. Thank you! Love your videos!

I got it from my local hobby store. It was a 18t 36p
I’m from the UK and I can’t find this anywhere, do you know where I can get one?
Did you check your local hobby shops? Try Amazon maybe. Hope this helps! 👍

It’s not really a speed run car and I wanted the differential action so that’s why I got it.

Are all rallys the same? I have a older model but it appears to be the same as this so I'd assume id get the same part?
