I'm gonna give the cheap silicone a shot. It seems to have worked for you. Have you used it before this time? I assume it holds up OK? Hi temp silicone is more than double the price. What's the worst that can happen (famous last words lol)
Yes I have used Hi temp and the lower cost 100% silicone. I see no difference between them! I get Two to Three winters with the low cost silicone. Appreciate your comment Phil, Good luck!!

Regular silacone is good to 375 or 400 degrees high temp is only good for upto 450 to 5oo degrees

No, just 100% clear silicone good up to 400 deg.
