I strongly disagree. This was, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful Beach Boys compositions. Yes, it was written about Al Jardine's former wife and I'm sure he would prefer not to sing it out of respect for Lynda Jardine as well as his current wife. However, the beauty and power of that composition is a tribute not only to Lynda Jardine but also the genius of Al and Ron Altbach. I know that Mike Love absolutely loved this song and I strongly suspect he got Al's blessing to perform it on their tour.

We have to preserve this song at all costs, it is in my opinion not only the most beautiful song Al has written, but also the best song of the BB's
Brilliant off the L A album 1979 saw them the other night. Fab show
Love it! Wish they still played it. eIchenberger
Does a great job!
thanks for uploading!!
WOOOOW
No one but Al Jardine should be doing that song
Except he hasn't done it since the 80s. I'm glad there's a chance to hear it being performed live at all!
@@thomasSrock2008 agreed. Al no longer performs this song for obvious reasons - such a great song.

Not as good as Al
Nobody said he's Al Jardine. Al, unfortunately, no longer plays this great song :(
@@MichaeldeFilippi makes sense, since he's long since split from the relationship which it was written about.
