u have inspired me to save the last couple years and i finally bought my first house with a big shop, i am 26 have my own truck and no debt besides the mortgage.
Same here man i am 29 have my own house not a huge shop but a pretty decent sized 2.5 car garage. Between me and my fiance we have 2 cars, and my truck. but all are paid off they may not be the newest or the nicest but they are ours
Awesome guys, we've been putting money away for a down payment, just waiting for the right opportunity now. I've always worked hard and managed to avoid debt my entire life, my wife is a hard worker too but racked up some crazy debt in her teens. Getting a handle on her debt has been life changing for her over the past year. If we can pay the mortgage even half as aggressively as we've saved for the down payment then we'll be debt free long before we're too old to enjoy it. I can't wait to have a shop to work in!
70 years of age now and can say with certainty that I am proud of you. I did everything that you did except I was a orphan and started when I was ten with saving towards what, I didn't know at the time, but I wasn't gonna be a employee for anyone.I have worked all my life and was never a kid playing with other kids. I watched my mom die when I was nime and didn't know my dad. I always found work mo matter how meaningless and I learned how to barter before my mom passed (TB) so when I got a few bucks tucked away I went to washington state and worked in the woods but things broke and I had an affinity to fixing anything. By the time I was fifteen I got my emancipation and never looked back again! I started in the woods but when the first shop job opened and I proved myself then I stated making real money and started eating real meals. When I heard that in Alaska you could do anything you were big enough to do I was on a plane and eighteen dollars latter I was in Ketchikan Alaska which was the shit hole of alaska and after a few years working there building a reputation I went to Anchorage and made millions off other peoples stupidity and it would of ben Bob's your uncle but I did so good that I forgot that you need insurance in case that you get hurt but big as a bull..... what could hurt me, I mean that I got through Nam without getting killed what could hurt me that duck tape couldn't fix. A three hundred pound person fell out off a ladder and I cought him! He wasn't hurt but the injuries to my back and neck stopped me in my tracks and my money went to doctors who threw patches on patches. Now I can't walk and I have one working arm and some feeling in my other hand for now but it is slowly going away too Death can't come soon enough. I don't want to die but what is this? Just waiting my turn when gab's horn blows for me I have been to must places but was always home here and thank god Alaska takes care of the old and helpless or I would be on the street.Your a a good man and work hard and keep it funny so you are doing something right
The fact that are local school got rid of the home ec course and the accounting course says a lot about what are kids are gonna be like later in life. I do feel bad like you guys all do. But the only way to change this stuff is to fight the “man” any time it’s needed!!
@@Mad.Man.Marine the fact that our* local school got rid of the home ec course and accounting course says alot about what our* kids are gonna be like later in life. Sorry, the are/our was driving me insane.
Amazing story. You’re so lucky that you figured out what you were passionate about when you were young. If I could go back and talk to my young self I would tell myself to figure out what I was passionate about and focus my energy on that. I wasted so much time. Congratulations man. Great story
I’m 21 years old and about to get out of the US army. I want to go into the carrier path of Diesel mechanics (how I found your TH-cam page) and this video seriously opened up my eyes on lifestyle choices and spending money. So I wanted to say Thank you very much for being an inspiration to me! Iv been watching a lot of your videos for the past few days now and you are a huge mentor to me. I just really wanted to say thank you for these videos and all the great commentary haha keep doing great things man. You might just be changing some people’s life’s for the better.
Hey. Good for you young man. I'm going to tell you something important. Start now. Take 20 percent of your check, or really; whatever money you secure, and invest it. Make this a habit. Silver during lean times , gold during fat. Stocks are to be bought and left alone. Check on them when you're 50. Don't retire too early, try to stay busy. Being a man, you'll collect hobbies, and obsessions, keep them. Don't let anyone convince you that your passions are "silly", you need a reason to get up and go in the morning. Put that 20 percent away. Start now.
Good for you Da Boss. We used to have vocational/technical schools in the U. S. but for some reason high schools have veered students more toward college, big debt, and less smarts. These type of vids can really help the youtz.
Hi I’m from Transylvania, working currently in the UK as a maintenance man of the largest race horse yard in the country, I’ve been here for nearly 10 years, I just love your videos, I find them informative and enjoyable, hats off to you man! You’re doing great!
Don't sell yourself short, Taylor. I've been watching your stuff for a couple months. You seem like a very talented and more importantly very DRIVEN individual. It's all in how you measure it.
You just described my entire life. Almost 70 and cannot escape the ingrained patterns. Big difference is you have ten times the ambition. Best wishes to you brother.
I’m a 70 year old retired corporate executive that started with nothing. Your advice to the younger generation is spot on. I did exactly the things you suggested for others in my life. We’ve traveled down the same but different roads. Life is what you make it. Financial goals are admirable; but family & quality of life are the gold standards. I’m enjoying your channels, blogs, vlogs, etc. I always loved the ‘67 GTO’s. You series of videos on this project were outstanding. Lots of hours - well worth the end results - in spite of all the twists & turns. Well done Mr DeBoss.
I'm an accountant and I love watching your videos! Definitely agree about the finance class in high school, everyone needs to understand basic finance and accounting!
I come back to this video every couple months to keep me motivated. Been working in the chemical plant industry 60-84 hrs a week the last year working on the road. Planning to buy some land from my grandfather with a 40x120 shop on it in the next couple of years.
I'm 22. same as you, I started in construction when I was 15. remodeled homes until I was 19. ran track hoe and dozers for a little over a year, decided I was tired of the environment with the small construction company's. I was getting burnt out. Read the paper one morning and saw an ad for apprentices at a company that built massive annealing furnaces for the steel, aluminum and copper mills. Went in, applied for the welding/fitting apprenticeship, got a call 2 weeks later asking if I was interested in a quality control apprenticeship. (I showed them my CAD, CNC, and engineering certifications I got in highschool.) took the job and I've been there over a year now. I have MIG TIG and Stick cirts as well as pipe fitting and various other things. I use all that to work on side jobs as well as small excavating and remodeling jobs. I work on farms in my free time and truly that's my dream, to have a small farm. I just hope I can get that before all these damn developers buy up the land lol
As a Dutchie, I applaud your Dutchness. People call it being cheap, but why pay someone else when you've got hands. Your dads attitude is also very Dutch: work hard, earn your money, be responsible. It is simple, but goes a long way. Three years on, this video has almost a quarter million views and the channel nearly half a million subscribers. Keep up the good work!
I know this is old video, but I’m a newer subscriber and stumbled across it. This video is quite inspiring to me as I’m a 22 year old in my second year of my Heavy Mechanical Apprenticeship living in Vancouver BC, things are definitely not what they were with housing prices nowadays especially where I’m from. Love your content and keep it up! I’m learning lots from you Rich!
I'm only 23 but been working my ass off for 10 years trying to get what I want. I'm not where I want to be but its a grind. You remind me alot of myself. Hands down if your shop was in Alberta I'd bring my truck to you
Saw the K100 by accident scanning through internet this morning. Dug further into DEBOSS Garage and I am impressed! Great builds and some great stories. Look forward to more.
My life and yours are VERY closely aligned! Grew up on a dairy farm, did a apprenticeship.. Only difference is I didn't invest in myself. Bad choice. Moved to Canada and Worked for Cummins for 25 years! Good for you and great advice for the young. 👍
I have to admit - I didn't subscribe because of all the hate and shade you threw at ford and a few others. I can't remember what video did it for me. But the past few i've come back and watched (this took the cake), you're a good dude and you've got my subscription. Looking forward to see what comes in the future!
Managing expenses is absolutely key. I dug myself a nice financial ditch when I was in my 20s that never really turned around until I ended up with a $400 S10 that got over 30mpg (in the mid-2000s when gas was almost $5/gallon), stopped buying pretty much everything I didn't absolutely have to, and 2 jobs to go with it so I never had any time to go spend money anyhow. It's amazing how fast you can turn things around if you just knuckle down and do it. It's also important to have a trade of some sort. It really doesn't matter what it is, but you have to be able to offer a service to someone that not everyone can perform. People like to make the joke about the world needing ditch diggers too, but I'll tell you first hand that joke is only funny until you have to pay for excavation work. I got a "good deal" on having about 70' of 4" sewer pipe installed a couple of years ago. The job took one day and it was $1600. I had been quoted as high as $4500 for the same work.
Hey man I'm an arborist aka tree climber and will soon to be starting my own pick up only thing I need right now is a dump trailer. I actually have everything my only downfall is working were I work I make really good money and love my crew anywho I need some inspiration and some balls to move forward
Me and my dad have slowly invested in different types of equipment got a mini excavator a rollback a wrecker and a 12ton crane and a forklift and a dump truck and they may not get used every day but man they are super handy to have when you need it
Two thumbs up...three if I had em. Would be nice to hear more on your invention (Tape Boss) as I have come up with a few ideas but never did anything with them. You seem like a very honest guy and we all value your opinion.
You are a smart guy and will continue to be successful! I am a retired mechanic, now 63 years old (retired at 56). My wife and I are living our dream thanks to the kind of life style you so well describe. It can be done, with hard work and careful planning, the reward is so worth it.
I come back and watch this video about once a month. I am 21 and seem to be taking the same road you did. I use this as motivation and really try to implement the tips you give. It reminds me that spending 100 bucks at the bar every weekend is dumb. It reminds me that if i keep working as hard as i can, one day I will build a life like yours. Thanks for all you do!
You are the model hard worker. I see you seem to have fun while you work. I love cars, trucks, heavy-duty equipment, if it has bolts, oil, and makes noise or smoke I'm ready.I'm semi retired,I don't want to stop now I was getting enough good stories & experience to pass on. You keep it up do what the wife says !!! Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to help out the little guy. I have a similar mindset when it comes to working/saving money, but Southern Ontario has such a depressing future. A farm by me just went for 30k/acre. Good luck getting ahead when you have to fork over half your income in taxes/hidden fees. Farmland in Michigan can be found for as little as 2k an acre. Thinking I might have a better shot at getting ahead and raising a family stateside.
Debossgarage you are an inspiration for me! I am in grade 9 and I live in midwestern Ontario on a small cash crop farm, I'm thinking of doing a co op at a agriculture dealership as a heavy equipment mechanic, and go to Fanshawe. But I would like to do what you did work for a while gain experience and open my own shop, and farm with my dad. Thank you for making these videos you are my favourite TH-camr because you show how to work on equipment and your an inspiration, like at my high school my friends and I will go for lunch and spend 10/15$ on a meal well I just grab a bunch of apples in the morning and boom I save tones of money. Also I have a really good job making 12.50$ and hour but hard work what I like. So this summer I made $3500. I save all the money I get to put toward farming equipment and tools when I'm older. Thank you
preston kerr go into the forces and go in as an aircraft mechanic, talk to the people over at caliber collision once you finish your term and they’ll pay for you education and tools, 6 months paid under the wing of a tech and then another before they ship you off to see if you can handle to auto industry on your own.
I'm young and very dumb at times when it comes to financial decisions. I drink almost every day after work and have an account with pretty much every tool truck there is... I also own a house and have a stepson that just turned 6 and another son that is about to have his forst birthday. You, sir, are an inspiration to me, to do better. Much respect, man!
My friends and I are looking into getting property and I really appreciate this because I want to build my own house and my own garage with them. I appreciate the heads up that it will be hard and now I'm going to be buckled and ready for EXTRA hard work now
Why I love this channel? I also -Grew up on a Dairy Farm -worked in a Case IH garage for 10 years. - worked in construction with my grandfather - am also Dutch - have a love affair with anything Cummins - set up a shop....but -I chose to stay in the Agriculture field. Awesome channel! -
Ur a really smart guy. Not many people anymore have ur work ethic. I hope a bunch of young teens watch this and realize u can have fun but u need to work hard and save money to get what u want. Thanks for all the awesome videos
Hahahaha knew from the first video a friend showed me there was something different about you! When God really does a work in someone there’s no way for it to not stand out! Like a light in the darkness. Do more videos like this my friend the world needs it. And keep your chin up and your hammer down. You’re making a difference. Thanks for being the real deal. Really appreciate you.
Hats off to you bud! Your a little backswards on life then i am. My family has a couple used auto/ heavy equipment yards so thats where i started. When off to do Small and heavy equipment repair and changed directions. Now im a full time self employed builder. But i get how your overcoming the odds.
Just found your channel a few days ago have enjoyed many of your videos. Great advice in this video. To many people want everything today and not set long term goals nor want to work hard for it My wife and I are kind of like you every thing we have we worked hard for. Nothing was given to us and both are retired at 56and 54 we live very modest. Thank you for sharing. G W
and #2 if you cant pay cash, you cant afford it. I see so many young people buy a $50,000 car or truck all on credit.... screwed before they even get started. The only exception being real estate but even at that dont plan on buying your dream house right out of the gate.
because your time is more valuable. It's a monumental task to set up automated businesses, but when you do it's "passive" income. Issue is monetizing auto repair or construction are both fields specifically based on skill from past experience. Anyone who would generally be able to do it, already own their own business.
Man, when you said you bought a property at 19 I had a small stroke. I just turned 19 and only have enough for my schooling and that's it. I also love your youth group story on how you saved the 10$, I have done many similar things to that but I aspire to be like you when sitting down in groups and not falling to peer pressure to order some stupidly expensive food
I wish more people had skills, but it seems so many just dont have 'the knack' for anything. i cant keep help in my remodel business long because its so dang hard to find someone who wants to work and learn. anywho, love the vids, im about to do my first swap, a 300 straight 6 into my van with a blown 351w.
Wow.. My parents gave me 5 dollars a day and 20 for the weekend.... Never saved anything. Always spent it.Ughh WASTED it on weed and beer... This was from about age 13 and got worse in high school.. I'm 23 now. And it will forever haunt me knowing what I spent my parents hard earned money on.. Thank you for the video and advice .
Thats how it goes when youre young man, I am too so been there. In high school all my friends blew their money on weed/drug and video games, meanwhile I saved, I didnt get very popular..until, my senior year, all the boys had crappy cars, crappy trucks, here comes me on my sweet kawasaki ninja 750R I saved up for, stole peoples girlfriends left and right. Lmao. Saving helps, even if you cant save all the time, cause bills can get ridiculous sometimes, but a little here and a littlw there adds up, youll have nice things before you know it.
jose ortiz It never to late , I have to start over twice due to circumstances ,have Lyme CFS now and have just got to to the bottom of the rat hole on that and have formulated a plan to overcome that , just remember it's never to late ,I know it's getting tougher out there.
Don't focus too much on the past and just look towards the future and what you can do now. Everyone has a different story and hey you may have spent that money on things that might not have been financially smart but I bet you were having fun at the time. All you can do is do your best right now in the present and later on in the future. Never dwell on the past.
My inspiration, 17 and same I work as a carpenter as my job and also work on Diesels like my Duramax engine swap, love learning new stuff your my favourite channel by far, found you when I had my first truck a first gen Cummins, this just might have been my favourite video, always up for advice from you
I show videos like this to my kids. It's pretty much what I have done and I know kids don't always hear there parents, so I let them watch this. Thanks
Thanks for the video. I'm going to get my kids to watch it. Maybe seeing and hearing it from someone else instead of dad they will get it. Love your videos Can Con! 🇨🇦👍
Well said Rich. I am still driving my 91 GMC that I bought a year old and a Camry with 221k miles on it. Used to be into new and nice cars but would rather buy reliable and drive the wheels off! If your at the Dream Cruise this year, I'll buy you a cheaper US Beer!
Hey man thanks for being an inspiration to so many! Setting a good example of a hard working and God fearing man is so needed in this day and age. Hopefully your able to find enough time for your family! I'm a big fan of your talents.
@@DEBOSSGARAGE when I watch what you are able to do, I can't help but think if money and time wasn't an issue.... Join up our skills and see what creations might happen. Maybe one day we might cross paths. Keep up the good fight!
This video is awesome Aaron! thank you for posting it. Talking about working hard and what it takes and showing what you have now because of that hard work is so important for so many people watching these videos so again thank you for posting this video
Great video. Young people need more exposure to people like you that show how to make things happen (and videos like this). Self made and willing to help others. Very impressive!
I spent all my money on car parts for the last 10-12 years and I doubt my cars are worth much more than $20k and still cause me issues. Now I want to buy a house but can't due to the market, and if I didn't throw away my money a lot of the time I probably could. I would do it differently.
Man, you've got almost the same background as me. I'm 23 currently. Grew up on a dairy farm. My dad runs a construction business and that's where I worked from the time I was a kid until I turned 20 and moved far enough away it was inconvenient to work for him. Then I got started at a heavy equipment shop and I'm still there today. About a year ago I got my Class A CDL and started driving for the same shop. Kinda torn on where to go next though. I'm also part way through a Computer Science degree. Always thought Id want to do it but nowadays I'm not sure I want to sit at a desk all day.
Dude! You actually put me into your story! I can’t believe it! Thank you so much for your videos, they and you, are awesome! Keep on keeping on! Peace and love from America!
Rich i drive a 2000 2nd generation dodge ram its a beat up truck and i constantly brake it ( overload with too much weight) but i always am learing at the age of 22 and will never deny a new trade to learn
Wow, you truly are an inspiration to a lot of young men out there trying to find their way through life. If I didn't know any better I'd say you're American by the way you work and dream!. You are absolutely correct about how schools do not teach what kids actually need for life skills such as Finance, and classes like shop are actually being removed from schools. Schools and parents have forgotten(or don't care enough) to really educate and teach their children, and the next generation is really paying the price for their inadequacies. Like you I also grew up mechanicing at a very young age, went to tech school for Caterpillar and became a CAT diesel technician at the age of 20. Did that for two more years, got married and raised a family here on our family ranch,. Still Ranch full-time but also do a lot of side work on diesels and side by sides. "To whom much is given much is required", and God has definitely given the two of us a whole lot. Best of luck. If you're ever down in Montana, would be glad to have you stop by
One of my best favorite videos now!! It would be a pleasure to shake your hand sir. Ran across your 6.5 video today and now I’m literally hooked with a lot of your videos.
Hes absolutely right about property values and how prices have skyrocketed. I have also looked into doing what you have done but things have changed. even the rules and bi laws of most places do not allow you to save up once you have purchased a property. You were lucky to get one with some form of a house already on it.
Thanks for sharing! Everyone is looking for the silver bullet but, at the end of the day, you can't beat good ol' hard work. I'd love to hear the TapeBoss story! Cheers.
Great story man , I hope to buckle down these next couple years and get somewhere in life ! Not too many people want to work hard these days... I work in the oilfield have for 4 years but what you said couldn't be more true about being mindful where your money goes Thank you for sharing your story!
great advice...know where every dollar is and where its going.....i pay cash when possible for everything and still write checks and balance the checkbook...no automatic payments or anything linked to accounts...out of sight is out of mind. ..you remember handing cash over and writing that big check..
You are 100% right on property values. My girlfriends dad bought a corner lot in the city (also in Canada) 25 years ago, for $30,000. He built his house on it and had it paid off in one year. I'm starting to look at properties, because I also want to build my own house, and the lots are extremely expensive. The average cost for a vacant lot here is ~$250,000 to $300,000 for 0.15 acres. Yes, I know inflation is involved in this, but wages haven't increased nearly as much.
I'm only 24 years old...live in waco texas and I'm a diesel mechanic and it seems like im still at Ground Zero getting no where! Deboss garage and chucky2009 thanks for the videos love Them!
Good bio video. I really enjoy your channel. I laughed along with you guys starting the 20 year old crane. Learned some things along the way. My Dad was a heavy equipment mechanic and supervisor with an 8th grade education. I know about doing without. Keep on turning wrenches. Keep on laughing!
Thanks for sharing this, Rich! It's always neat to hear the story of how people got where they are. I'm on my way to becoming what you are. I'm 20, just got married, and I've purdy much been working since I was born. :P I hold certs in three processes of welding, enjoy wrenching on vehicles and equipment, currently work as a carpenter and equipment operator, and am starting a sustainable agriculture business with my wife, while building a 450 sq. ft. house on land that my folks own. I currently work for a company, but I'm itching to be self employed. Thank you for sharing about your journey, and showing that it can be done and how to do it! I thought it was neat that you said you wouldn't change a thing. Right now I'm kinda wishing that I hadn't created as much pressing work for myself right now, but it'll all be worth it in the long run.
Rich, you are awesome and understanding. Not too many people your age and older understand that things are way more expensive now when compared to when they bought a house. People paid $200k for their home on the 90s, we are paying $800k 25 years later. My brother is 5 years older than me and he bought his first place at 23 and has bought 3 house total (one after the other). I'm on my second home but this is our last home as it cost so much and it's not even that big. My second house cost 2.5 times my parents first house, and my dad makes more money than me but he doesn't understand how come I never have money.
Great info. Business ownership is not for the lazy! As you say, living beneath your means is key to any success, no matter the level...Love your videos and content.
Been working on small engines since I was 6. I've always considered turning it into a business, but the times have definitely changed. You're a massive inspiration for me man!
I have realized in my life is that a dream is just that. Reality is pretty much what we have to work with in life. Some people have more of it than others. I saved the dreams for when I'm sleeping, and try to set realistic goals while I'm awake. Work smart, focus on your needs more than your wants. Realize there will be changing plans and a few mistakes along the way. Lastly enjoy the good times and be thankful for all the little things
And how many people say it's just not fair that they are poor. I too rebuilt a 283 in my senior year in high school and put it in a 74 Chevy truck the summer after I graduated so I could drive to trade school. Since then (50 years) things have gone great. Pay off your house in 15 years not 30 then buy land then save save save.
Bought my house 4 years ago. I'm building my dream garage this year and renovating the house. Started working when I was 12, worked my ass off for my industrial millwright license and did every bit of overtime I could. I'm 27. You are right... It's still achieveable today you just have to work hard ! And this is in this GTA
New to your channel, I have only watched a few of your videos. I wish youtube, would put people like you front and center.
Start now.
This "should" be the #1 watched video on TH-cam.
Good for you Da Boss. We used to have vocational/technical schools in the U. S. but for some reason high schools have veered students more toward college, big debt, and less smarts. These type of vids can really help the youtz.
They need useful idiots.
Hi I’m from Transylvania, working currently in the UK as a maintenance man of the largest race horse yard in the country, I’ve been here for nearly 10 years, I just love your videos, I find them informative and enjoyable, hats off to you man! You’re doing great!
Really enjoyed this video. You're a better man than I am.
Taylor Ray Fancy meeting you here
Don't sell yourself short, Taylor.
I've been watching your stuff for a couple months.
You seem like a very talented and more importantly very DRIVEN individual.
It's all in how you measure it.
Your good and like your videos
How do you feel now, sir?
Man you gotta be joking. On top of being a damn good driver, you can build damn near anything.
AWESOME self made man!
Me and my dad have slowly invested in different types of equipment got a mini excavator a rollback a wrecker and a 12ton crane and a forklift and a dump truck and they may not get used every day but man they are super handy to have when you need it
Adding this to my favorites so I can come back and watch it to keep the fire burning. Congrats by the way
Two thumbs up...three if I had em.
Thanks
That is a really cool story about you. I hope all the young hopefuls take your words and charge forward full blast.
Love the determination, never quite, don't take no for an answer, you've inspired me!
I’m a 23 yr/old 310t apprentice from Perth county, going to Fanshawe. This was very inspirational, thank you
Thanks for taking the time to help out the little guy.
I want to do the same thing except in Australia
I'm young and very dumb at times when it comes to financial decisions. I drink almost every day after work and have an account with pretty much every tool truck there is... I also own a house and have a stepson that just turned 6 and another son that is about to have his forst birthday.
You, sir, are an inspiration to me, to do better. Much respect, man!
My friends and I are looking into getting property and I really appreciate this because I want to build my own house and my own garage with them. I appreciate the heads up that it will be hard and now I'm going to be buckled and ready for EXTRA hard work now
" If You're not Filthy You're not Rich " ...!!!!! What a Great saying ,,, going out and getting Me a " Tape Boss " keep up the Great Video's ...!!!!!
Great to see some background. And great to see the comments from the young guys looking to make their own way into their futures. Cool.
Why I love this channel?
I also
-Grew up on a Dairy Farm
-worked in a Case IH garage for 10 years.
- worked in construction with my grandfather

-I chose to stay in the Agriculture field.
Awesome channel!

Awesome man! You can be really proud! Thanks for the humble tips!
you should make more of these videos this inspiration love to hear stories life struggles and success
Uncle always said... "Its mind over matter. Make up your mind the rest dosent matter".
Very inspiring! Thank you! I would definitely like to see a few more videos like this
We need more videos like this. Solid advice for anyone who is motivated.
Ur a really smart guy. Not many people anymore have ur work ethic. I hope a bunch of young teens watch this and realize u can have fun but u need to work hard and save money to get what u want. Thanks for all the awesome videos
You are a legend.
Remember you doing the tape boss, glad it's still going well.
You are a joy to watch and wish you well in every endeavour
Man, I am amazed! Every improductive tiktok dependent youngster should see this! You're a great man and a great example! Keep it up!
I agree 100% why pay someone to do something you can do yourself.
and #2 if you cant pay cash, you cant afford it.
That was a good speech. Your 100% right. Enjoy your channel.
I appreciate the look into your life and I couldn't agree more. Love your videos too, keep at it!
Damn your lucky I never got anything from my parents except food and a roof.
@@ashtontoler3036 Thats enough to keep you comfortable and kicking ma man! Big love and wish you all the greatest success and life enjoyment!!
I applaud you for you and your wife working together and making a success for yourselves.
My inspiration, 17 and same I work as a carpenter as my job and also work on Diesels like my Duramax engine swap, love learning new stuff your my favourite channel by far, found you when I had my first truck a first gen Cummins, this just might have been my favourite video, always up for advice from you
As a Canadian in my 20's, i look upto you in a huge way! I appreciate you sharing your story. Cheers man!
Glad i watched this.I worked my way up the same way,but i grew up in America and did the same in Wisconsin. Only i own a Marine Shop.
Oh and if you have never heard of welker farms on TH-cam check us out. We do some big crazy projects.
Thanks! I've watched your vids and follow you on Instagram. Always great to follow other hard workers!
@@DEBOSSGARAGE when I watch what you are able to do, I can't help but think if money and time wasn't an issue.... Join up our skills and see what creations might happen. Maybe one day we might cross paths. Keep up the good fight!
Really inspirational. Im 24 and im trying my best. Maybe won't be doing as good as you when im your age but at some point
I Love your story, so simple: work hard, save money and know the passion and goal you want! And you’re Canadian..Go CANADA 🇨🇦
Thanks for the honesty at 8:15 I'm planning on buying a house next year at 25 but fuck she won't be as nice as yours
If you're ever down in Montana, would be glad to have you stop by
Really enjoyed this video. Tha is for sharing and a big ol' Pat on the back too you for your dedication too what you want
One of my best favorite videos now!! It would be a pleasure to shake your hand sir. Ran across your 6.5 video today and now I’m literally hooked with a lot of your videos.
Very touching! Stay blessed man! You are DEBOSS!!
I work in the oilfield have for 4 years but what you said couldn't be more true about being mindful where your money goes
Thank you for sharing your story!
great advice...know where every dollar is and where its going.....i pay cash when possible for everything and still write checks and balance the checkbook...no automatic payments or anything linked to accounts...out of sight is out of mind. ..you remember handing cash over and writing that big check..
Had an itch to get a new car but between Dave Ramsey and this story it reminded what's really important. Thanks man
You are a fine example to all who want to get ahead in life congratulations
Good job, Rich. A finance class should absolutely be required in school!
I found you during that project car challenge. This right here is the video that made me subscribe. Amazing work ethic.
Great info. Business ownership is not for the lazy! As you say, living beneath your means is key to any success, no matter the level...Love your videos and content.
Wow I love your shop videos but this one by far is the best one I have seen yet. Goals, sacrifice and hard work, love it spot on 👌👍
One of my favorite videos on TH-cam awesome inspiration for a 17 year old like me
Been working on small engines since I was 6.
I'm 23, with a family, been struggling to get us into a better living situation. Thanks for the motivational video!
Congrats, I like the smart and humble you are. God bless you. 🙏
I think thiis post has the most comments in such a short time. Speaks volumes. Way to go rich.
New to your channel, I have only watched a few of your videos. I wish youtube, would put people like you front and center. Thanks for making this video, It makes me want to watch every video you upload. You are successful, because you try to kick ass everyday, keep it up. I am not a mechanic, never owned a diesel. However, I enjoy the education you put in every video. Makes me want to start a project, buy a 12v, and a truck, and see what I can do.
This may be my favorite video; Words to live by. Thanks Rich.
