Hi Aaron, thanks for another cool review for what looks like a really interesting pedal from a brand I'm unfamiliar with. Overall I liked what I heard and I'm intrigued by the tonal possibilities which sounded really cool. I can't wait to hear your' review of the Rail.
BTW, how bright in practice is the 'on' bulb?

Thanks so much! I’d say average brightness from what I can tell. I have done a demo of the Rail btw. It’s on my channel already

PettyJohn is sick. Super high quality boutique stuff. Worth the cash.

    great demo thanks
wondering to get this or edge

    • @aaronjlivecchi

Very diff. This is an eq/boost. Edge is a drive.

@@aaronjlivecchi oh thanks for reply do they sound diff as well ? for clean tone shaping
      which would you choose thanks

@sihoonkim9098 yes, they sound considerably different. The edge has gain. The tilt is completely clean for just EQ and boosting purposes go with the tilt. It actually sounds really great with an acoustic guitar and a bass

I know this is not necessarily a mid boost/cut pedal but I'm just saying in general this sounds much nicer than the JHS haunting mids for eq sculpting. The tilt has got a nice pre amp tone to it from what I can hear and great sculpting capabilities. The haunting mids was stiff and cardboardy, this is not.

Never tried the Haunting. But this is great

@@aaronjlivecchi hey so do you know if PettyJohn just completely discontinued their Crush Compressor? Not seeing them on the site anymore.. I used to have one that I paid $240 for used and now people are asking $400- $600. Not sure if they are selling for that but dayuuum!

Pettyjohn still in business? The two pedal lines they make (core and foundry) both say discontinued and nothing is in stock.

Yes. Revamping their gear to my understanding. But still in business
