This is a full behind the scenes video with Becca Cannon! I had Kidron come a long on a very real photo shoot with me to film all the fun prompts and poses I have my couples do. This session was very unique because I had never met my couple before this session so I didn't have much of a chance to get to know them before hand. However, before and during the session I wanted to get to know them a little bit to help make the session more comfortable. One of the best ways to make them feel comfortable is by a lot of direction in the photos. And this is what the video is for! You can see how I am constantly giving them direction and positive encouragement to reassure them they're doing an amazing job! So if you need inspiration on how to get these natural reactions and to really see their personality come out in the photos then you will definitely enjoy this video!

I am about to go do my first-ever couples photoshoot with strangers and I am beyond nervous trying to prepare for it. This honestly helped so so much thank you for showing us that behind-the-scenes directing I feel a lot more prepared! Wish me luck haha
How did it go?
@@Dakren12 It was actually pretty fun! The couple was pretty awkward and goofy so it wasn't as romantic as I was planning for but I was able to get some really cute photos of them! So I'd say it was a win :)

Even before I saw this this is exactly how I am when I did two sessions with a couple and I felt like I was being too extra 😂 it’s good to see that I’m not alone. I’m a hype woman when taking photos and I’m always complimenting people and telling them what looks good and it makes them comfortable and open up. I’m doing a maternity session for a friend of mine, so I’m taking notes. I did her engagement photos last year so we will already know the drill and my vibe when shooting ❤🎉

Wow I’m so glad i came across your channel. I LOVE LOVE. These candid shots. Im a newer photographer. I actually did a session this past weekend similar to this one, also In open sun,tall grass. Wish I would have watch your video before my session. Although im questioning myself if I had my settings right. I got quite a few out of focus images from shooting so fast. Would you mind sharing your setting with me?

Really nice video. I like the wide angle approach you took. Wondering what aperture was used to ensure both people were in focus. Would be neat to see some of those details on the images you share. Still great video.
