These rare track moves are bonkers but I believe it is theoretically possible for a 73 stock to traverse the whole network except the Northern and the W&C… (say, on Christmas Day, when nothing is running). I’d love to see how fast a double-ended train could do it!
@@piccadillyline9765 Not sure what you mean by that since, for obvious reasons, it could run onto the Met Line at Rayners Lane and “do” the rest of that line.
The same as a single ended pair. The double enders have two compressors instead of one same amount of motors in either train. This move is no longer possable due to the points being removed at Hammersmith and the higher voltage from Barons Court sub for the S stock and from Barons Court it is now ATO. At least I am one of the few that have driven this.
If I’m not wrong Piccadilly line train operators are trained to run on the whole Piccadilly line and the whole District line between High Street Kensington and Ealing Broadway, including the “slow” line from Hammersmith to Acton Town
@@marcodamasio Yep your wrong..Picc only do west local from Hammer to Acton.EBY I can do it as route trained but I'm the only one! As for HSK we were a filimg train District T/Op piloting me.

Very interesting.
Nice video Hammersmith to high Street Kensington
The Piccadilly doesn't normally run to HSK. Did you have to get route training, a District driver in your cab or did you just get on with it?
