Reishi Mushroom Double Extraction Tincture: Bioactive Compounds, One Pot Method, Alcohol Reuse

- Reishi mushroom contains two groups of bioactive compounds: polysaccharides and triterpenoids. Polysaccharides are water soluble, but triterpenoids are alcohol soluble. In order to extract both groups of chemicals, double extraction method is used. Double extraction includes two steps: alcohol tincture making and water decoction.
In this video, it is introduced how to make double extraction tincture from Reishi mushroom by a one-pot method.

I've got to get one of these. I've been wanting to remove alcohol from my tinctures for use for my pets and clients who don't want alcohol in their tinctures and dual x. I had a husky who suffered with seizures and chaga extract seemed to help. I'd like to add some to my other pets food. Lost to many dogs to cancer.

That's defenetly an interesting double extraction method!!
What I have been trying lately is pressure cooking the mushtoom dry powder to break the cell wall to make a decoction first and tincture it afterward for a week instead of a month. Tincturing would take less time than the traditional method because the cell wall is already broken. Please let me know your thoughts on this. Thank you!!

I think he's just selling the distillers. I sell them. Reishi, chaga, lionsmane, turkeytail and combinations. Dual extracts for the most part. With alcohol. You could make your own too. It's not that hard. It does take some time, especially the chaga. Three month soak. I do twelve or more. I also forage and sell some of the mushrooms needed. Wild reishi and chaga. Many of the others can be found in stores or at your local mushroom farm , like lionsmane.
