This is an android OS based car stereo system. You can see how to mirror connect the mobile phones. If your device is Android ,you can connect it via Wi-Fi or USB. However, if the device is apple phone, it is connected via Wi-Fi only.
However, the android device can be controlled using the touch screen of the car stereo but, you can not control the iPhone so.

So a couple of questions, once your phone is connected, can you turn your phones screen off? Also, would apps like xm look the same as the phone or use its own format? On my phone, I have to force landscape for the app and it's hard to see the content of it since the header is taking up almost half of the screen and can't see much of the stations. Changing the resolution may help but needs a root I'm pretty sure.
No, if you turn off the screen, you can not see. and all the thing will be mirrored as same sa in your android phone.
My car stereo has this feature but with the name of "Autolink".Fun fact is my car stereo is not a android stereo.It doesn't have any app or playstore what so ever.The autolink button is separately placed in the main menu.Can you clarify me that is my stereo android or not?
Yes. There are more PM5 players with mirror link facility. But most of those are not android devices. Those are with built in software which can be used the mirror link facility.

Despite the mirror link, can you watch youtube videos on this devices ? Also, what about video player? Can you watch a movie from your usb stick or memory card? Does it support any kind of video format ?
Ye, the player supports USBs even USB key board and mouse. You can install video player apps and watch any format of a video. memory card slot is not available, you can use a chip reader. youtube works well and you can install lot of apps from play store. All I see you do is showing phone mirroring not mirror link I want to be able to use my Android phone completely through my Android head unit same one you have there can you tell me what app will do this I know there is one cuz I've seen it done before but you're not showing us

Seems like its more trouble than its worth to mirror i would love to but download app, connect to mobile hot spot, you only get so much mobile hot spot and the usb coords they come with are not the same as just plugging in i really wish they made this a better unit ill probably be getting a better one i only had this one since friday and already see why it was only 100$
Most of manufacturers advertise that their device is Android. but you have to read the details carefully. Because most of devices are supported only mirror links but not the OS is android. But this device is android and it can be connected mobile phones using hotspot. Based on the quality of the car stereo device, the mirror link connection speed and the stability become good, average or bad.
My head unit is like this one but bigger and it doesn't have a phonelink option.

I have iPhone 12pro max, also tried iPhone 13 , followed All instructions but it doesn’t work, connected car player via phone WiFi , checked its downloaded my contacts , which confirm sharing is on, went in iPhone mirroring, it finds mirrorlink, connects, shows a tick, it does play audio but no video, I resented iPhone, funny thing is it worked with iPhone 8 small one but tried same things on iPhone 12 max and 13 max not working at all, tried full reset on iPhone but same. Tried data cable but same. Tried resetting player but same. Is there any way of installing Zlink on these players. Mine is sort of similar 2gb, 16gb
Normally latest versions support only with latest products. for you iPhone, you may need android 13 products.
@@SetNFixnope this guy is right bought the podofo 1gb+ 16gb 10.1 screen with galaxy a54 doesnt work i tried everything on iphone 11 pro sound goes but only with interruption, youtube work everything work just mirrorlink not
@@damirmujic6501 it is about the version. latest ios may not supports with old android ones.
@@SetNFix i connected it right now with an galaxy a7 it works but if you go on a youtube video it stocks and than immediately cuts of the mirrorlink

@@SetNFix no didn’t work at all . I connected apple hdmi to hdmi to rcv to screen. It mirrors my phone but no audio. Then I tried origanal apple lightening cable and I was able to hear audio on TH-cam and videos but was. Not able to see movies from Netflix, TH-cam movies or tubi
The mirror link feature doesn't work with android. I have a Samsung A52 and no matter how many times I downloaded the software, it won't mirror, I can connect via Bluetooth but that's it. Maybe you have to be plugged in with the USB but it won't connect with WIFI.
Did you create wifi hostport?
I have the same problem with the same phone. The unit is connected to the same hotspot but the app is not asking you for a permission
@@SetNFix Yes, I use another phone as a Hot Spot and make sure they're both on it but it won't work.
