Neighbour with a CanAm ATV (Renegade 650 XMR) asked me about replacing his belt. My BRP / Skidoo snowmobile as a very similar clutch setup and it's tool kit includes an L shaped tool, I wonder if it's compatible?
Video was great and i ordered your belt and tool just like you said and it didnt work at all. Your belt removal tool snapped in half as i was screwing it in and was stuck inside the outer half pulley assembly and if i could send you some pics i would to show you what it did to the inner half. Got a mess over here
@Hunterworks user error? Just like your video we simply screwed the tool in like your video showed. Only has one threaded hole so had to be right hole and we didn't even use a drill we used a wrench.
@@hendersonhow2andreview17 I was not there so I can't say, maybe you got to a spot it didn't want to push and kept going, honestly I can't say. Should not be a ton of resistance on compressing the secondary, if something is wrong with it and you kept going. Again, it is just a screw you can get most anywhere, hardened too. Be glad to send another if you like. I have not seen this happen before so I just do not have info more than this for you.
Hi I got a question I'm having a issue with my can am outlander 850 its wanting to jerk on takeoff and I've done the one way cleaned the clutches and new belt what else could it be it started after the belt got smoked but got a new belt on now thanks
@@Hunterworks I have a dalton clutch kit and had it on and it was doing it and put stock back on and still doing it on grooves or anything on either clutch it's smooth after 5 miles a hour

can't say, if 8mm it might just work
2:54 how do you know?
Not supposed to ask. It hurts though
What's the link to that tool you recommend?

How often this belt needs replaced?
Once you feel it slipping or it blows up
The answer you got is not a bad one, but if no issues and you just want to change it, maybe 3000 miles.
@@Hunterworks thank you!

Never heard of that, it is just a 8mm dog point screw that is available anywhere, only thing I can think of is some kind of user error.

Most likely the burning damaged the bottom part of the clutch, how many miles on this clutch and what size tires?
@@Hunterworks the bike has only 500 miles and 28in tires
@@georgecalvin6593 Then I would say damage of some kind so take belt back off, look down in the primary clutch at bottom on the sides

Sorry no grooves
Does the bike tell me when to change it ?
yes, you will know.
@@Hunterworks😂🙌🏻
Seem like my primary clutch stuck and won’t come off
Put the puller in under tension then whack it hard with a real hammer, most times the shock wave will pop it off
@@Hunterworks thanks I got it off
