A fever dream of mine is a dragon crpg, not a lizard man, not a half dragon, actual hexapedal fire breathing, gold hoarding, aeon living creature of myth. The game starts with you breaking out of an egg and goes on from there...
I completely understand you. This is why I don't buyed WH rouge trader. I would like to play as a space marine of some fraction in that game however there is no option for that. How awesome could be to play as someone not generic like an orc or whatever.
I could imagine a troll race having highly developed ethical philosophy regarding overpopulation. They are caused to reproduce by cutting-weapons severing their limbs. So it would be a martial philosophy as well. They experience hunger more intensely than other races, but maybe can't die from hunger. It's a question of preserving quality of life by exercising disciplined control over reproduction.
as old man myself i agree that races in games are poorly represented (especially those less human in appearance) in rogue trader chapter 3 i had hope to recruit MALICE and had hope that in character creator would be some form of tech priest and non-cosmetic cybernetics (sadly first two expansions are about more human companions and not orks or even tau (not even ogryn)) as great as dragon age origins was (especially with shale) ... it was the awakening that have given me hope for something better with architekt and awakened dark spawn but unfortunately it was all abandoned (including grey wardens) fallout tactics (my favorite) despite of having more mercenary based companions was still depending on choices and that allowed to recruit ghouls and super mutants and deathclaws and even advanced droids (not to mention vehicles) kotor 2 made incredible impression on me by making entire tutorial about being utility droid (entire star wars universe could gain a lot by just making game about customizable droid) unlike movie makers poor decisions this entire universe have so many races that making human force user feels like peek laziness neverwinter nights 2 had construct companion (animated armor with huge blade) despite of having no personality and being completely mute was one of the most interesting companions since it's upgrades were based on player choices and skills in mass effect i had favorite companions (non of them was human) in me3 (good multiplayer game with bad single player mode) i loved to play as geth prime so when i heard about andromeda having bryliant idea of civilian program going into other galaxy my hopes were very high and despite of entire game feeling unfinished (but still good) it had this post ending part about message from quarian ark which was supposed to bring all other more fragile races that ark alone could have character creator with race choices that have nothing from council races but entire thing died and after seeing where new dragon age aims i don't see any hope for new mass effect
@@rpgdivision no problem as old people we need to remind younglings about better times when flashing lights and all coulours of rainbow with mindless levels of action were just a bonus and not the main reason to play a game keep up the good work and may the glory days return
I want a Warhammer rpg, where you can play as orks, skaven, goblins or even some half demons!

the world needs an Arcanum remaster
Can we stop wanting remasters instead of wanting new games?
@@ThatDjinn well, maybe if game devs can learn how to make games again.
Good show sir

Please tell me you are going to review Veilguard?
Most definitely. If the game is bad I might not finish it entirely but review is coming either way.
BG2 is the best

The combat is so fun
its better to focus on a good gameplay racers are important too

as great as dragon age origins was (especially with shale) ... it was the awakening that have given me hope for something better with architekt and awakened dark spawn but unfortunately it was all abandoned (including grey wardens)
fallout tactics (my favorite) despite of having more mercenary based companions was still depending on choices and that allowed to recruit ghouls and super mutants and deathclaws and even advanced droids (not to mention vehicles)
kotor 2 made incredible impression on me by making entire tutorial about being utility droid (entire star wars universe could gain a lot by just making game about customizable droid)
unlike movie makers poor decisions this entire universe have so many races that making human force user feels like peek laziness
neverwinter nights 2 had construct companion (animated armor with huge blade)
despite of having no personality and being completely mute was one of the most interesting companions since it's upgrades were based on player choices and skills
in mass effect i had favorite companions (non of them was human)
in me3 (good multiplayer game with bad single player mode) i loved to play as geth prime so when i heard about andromeda having bryliant idea of civilian program going into other galaxy my hopes were very high and despite of entire game feeling unfinished (but still good) it had this post ending part about message from quarian ark which was supposed to bring all other more fragile races
that ark alone could have character creator with race choices that have nothing from council races
but entire thing died and after seeing where new dragon age aims i don't see any hope for new mass effect
Forgot that Fallout Tactics had all the races. Thanks for the reminder and thanks for the overview.

Rogue trader is awesome ❤
I think it's unlikely to happen cause almost everyone plays as human/elf or some variation.
The problem lies on the other races not being different enough. Not visually, but in practice
@@Dan01-01 I agree. That's also hard though cause it requires good writing.
I want nagas😂
