    In full transparency early last year Tori and I accepted a lot of work opportunities so that we could afford to hire help to run our podcast, edit all videos etc... That was before Tori became Preggo! Now because of that we fell into a state of perpetually being behind which was hard because of all the commitment we have made without know the difficulty pregnancy and early post delivery would be! Our management has been incredible and same for the brands who are big supports of our channel, but Tori and I wanted to keep our word and make sure we highlight the brands who were so invested in sponsoring us! SO that is why we have had a lot of that lately and we do appreciate your love and patience with that! All of this is going back into creating more resources that yall are gonna flip out about!! Also if you wonder where the encouragement is, this is what I wrote in the last YT video description! "...but this will likely be the last TH-cam encouragement I write for a little while because this little form of encouragement is growing up and we am launching a weekly word email list! Where we will send an email out, every week that provides you with an encouraging thought, a thoughtful challenge & a challenging question! Thank you :) It would be so nice to hear more about moving in vs not rushing, dating and letting a feeling of miss each other to be there, how to date with a mindset of being married one day. You went through all the seasons well and it would be great to hear your temptations, your prayers and your faith with each other. Did you ever pray that God would give strength not to cross boundaries while dating? Thank you so much :)

And my pastor spoke about how when we go to heaven, there is no such thing as marriage, and that kinda blew my mind, like why am I idolized something that won't be a thing in eternity. Anyway, would love to hear how you stopped idolizing marriage and your thoughts on marriage not really existing once we are in heaven. Love you guys! ❤

    Such wisdom🙏🏻❤ Something I would love your (or the Masters' fam's) advice on: I myself struggle with touch. I try to keep physical touch with especially guys to a bare minimum, since it quickly leaves an 'imprint' on me and makes me wonder what they mean by it because I'm not used to it. Things like long eye contact can almost make me fall in love with a guy, but I started learning that some people just have a habit of doing this in friendly relationships and conversations. In my upbringing, I wasn't used to this though. We (unfortunately) barely hugged in my family (we are working on this though). Any advice on what normal habits of physical touch/eye-contact are? And how to handle it when you're very sensitive to it? Maybe also how to grow in it/get used to it in a healthy way? Have a wonderful and blessed week💕

    Most horrible thing I ever saw was two friends in the military decided to get married, but they first created a "prenuptial" agreement that they both had to work out so many hours a week in order to remain physically attractive to one another during their marriage. First thing that popped into my head is "what happens when you turn 40? or 50? or 60?" If all you care about is hotness, you are in for serious disillusionment along the way -- either that or you are so selfish, you don't care who you hurt along the way. I'd bet any amount of money they divorced decades ago, because that HAD to be the shallowest relationship basis I've ever seen or heard of...
    The Romans had a saying; "The eyes lead in love;" and that's true -- we are first attracted to someone because of what we see (how could it be anything else -- you don't get to "know" anyone until after you meet them, right?). BUT, beauty really IS in the eye of the beholder -- what's attractive to you may or may not be works for me, and vice versa. The woman I love feels like she's totally unattractive physically (she's my age, 62, for crying out loud), and really obsesses over this (she's also a former model, so that's part of her problem), but to me she's still the same beauty I met 16 years ago and every bit as attractive to me now as she was then -- she's got a few wrinkles and a grey hair or three now, but so what? She's just the most amazing woman, I will love her until the day I die, and her looks (and her concern about them) don't make an iota of difference to me -- I love her for who I learned she IS, not what she happens to look like on any given day. (No, we're not married, though I've asked her many times -- but perhaps some day, if it's God's plan, we will be. If not, well, then whatever God's plan turns out to be is good enough for me.)

    Hey guys! First of all, LOVE your videos! Each one is so encouraging and filled with a lot of wisdom, and you both put a lot of thought and care into each topic.
    I do want to ask about jealousy. I'm in a current relationship with my girlfriend, and she's very much more of an extrovert than myself. I know I can't change that at all, but recently, she's been talking about a guy friend of ours a little bit too much, and it makes me uncomfortable. I know most of her guy friends, each one of them are good godly men who she's actually seen dating material in, but she said yes to dating me (I pursued her). But that thought still lingers behind my mind, the "what if" she is leaving her options open?
    I trust her and honor her. I give her the respect she deserves, and I don't think she'd break up with me just to date someone else because she changed her mind. I can only trust the Lord that He will give me peace and guidance during this time of overthinking.
    Thoughts and prayers are appreciated. Thank you for thr work you guys put into giving advice. It's helped a lot.

    The bit about staying where or with someone you are comfortable with and not wanting to start over resonated witb me so strongly. I did that for 9 years with a guy who I knew God didn't want for me but I couldn't let go after all I invested. Being forced to helped me so much and I have finally met a good man who loves and uplifts me as a person and is so right for me. Starting over and moving on is hard and painful but it is so worth it. It can be exciting and fun too, everything is new and that is healing.

    I love your videos and your upbeat personalities that shine through every video but me not being Christian sometimes makes me feel like you are so far removed from the reality of most relationships out there. Most people here in Germany try out different relationships in their teens and twenties including sex, living together and getting to know their families before even thinking about such a huge commitment as marriage is. That way I think when we do acutally marry we know exactly what we like, what we don't like, how we felt in different relationships and if we feel good with our spouses's friends and family. I am not sure if your marriage would have been so successfull if you did not both experience other relationships before because only after those other experiences you both knew what you both really wanted (in your case a relationship that is deeply routed in your faith which is great for you but not for everyone). I know that you will probably not be open to other points of views just because in your faith God is almithy and knows best for everyone but I just wanted to give you a glimpse into another world where loving and very stable marriages are possible even when couples had had sex before and where a woman doesn't have to restrain her sexuality for some kind of gift or prize for her husband when he marries her. Often times, I feel for Christian couples who commited way to fast just because they finally wanted to have sex with each other but could of course not admit that (but why would someone marry after just a few months if sex was not a factor?). Once the exitment of having sex fades they really get to know each other and realize they are acutally not a good fit but then feel trapped in an unhappy marriage because "divorce" ist forbidden.

      @janaiahalexandre7577 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! I was raised Christian and have watched Tori and Chad for a while and I also have observed the dating pattern you described as being mainstream in Europe. Personally, I was growing my faith in an environment where my dating pool was a mixture of completely secular men who believed sex was a vital part of deciding on marriage and God-fearing Christian men who all wanted to work in God’s kingdom as missionaries, worship leaders, and pastors. My biggest struggle was that I have observed in my close friendships the walk of a pastor, worship leader, and missionary and they all lead wonderful yet financially humble lives. I feel so bad inside because it feels callous but in an economy that is just going to get more expensive over time and me having goals in which I want to travel the world, be able to feed my kids truly nutritious organic food, own a nice house and afford family vacations or even just visit family that lives abroad, I know I would need to find a partner that is financially ready to pay for these things with me. I don’t see myself being SAHM, I do want to contribute to my house, but I can’t afford to do that by myself and I realistically don’t see myself being able to have those opportunities married to someone in those fields. And those were the ONLY Christian men I was surrounded with. The other men were all secular men with “more financially adept career paths” but then there was wanting sex prior to marriage or even just to date for a few years before marriage. The Christian men and couples I’m surrounded with all met, got engaged, and married their spouse within 1-1.5 years. And I do strongly believe that when you know, you know, but my brother is getting engaged to his girlfriend after dating throughout college and that gave them time to both get to know each other’s family and learn about each other and the life they want to build together without the pressure of time…it’s a very complicated argument especially since the success of your marriage is not dependent on whether or not you wait for marriage. As a Christian, I see your points and I do hope someone (not necessarily T & C) talks about that cuz all the couples I have met or watched that waited either got married super young or had sex in other relationships, corrected themselves, and then met their current spouse and waited with them and it can be a little frustrating for Christian’s who want to wait but also want to enjoy single season and get married at a more mature age (men tend to go 😬 when they meet a girl well into her 20s who is a Virgin in my experience)

    • @juliafichtl3121
      @juliafichtl3121 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@janaiahalexandre7577 Thank you for your perspective, I realize that it must be way more complicated to find a good partner if you want to honor your Christian values (in your case maybe no sex before marriage) but also lead a modern and somewhat free life at the same time. In Europe it would indeed be very very difficult to find a man who is willing to wait for sex until marriage (excluding men belonging to very strict religious circles that look more like sects than normal Catholic churches) but I think in America the number of people who are like Chad is way higher so I would suggest to dig deep what you really want and what your own values are (not just because you are raised that way) and stay true to them. If you want to lead a successfull life, have a career, earn money AND be Christian, I think you can totally do that. Just don't settle for the first seemingly fitting man just because he is Christian and would be approved by friends and family. In my own experience, I dated my now husband 11 years before we married, only in year 3 I slowly felt like I really really "knew" him and now that we are married for a year I still feel like I learn new things about him. And please don't stress yourself out to find someone before you turn 30 or something like that, you can meet good and interesting people at every age and..speaking from experience your life gets even better once your 20s are over. Finding love is awesome but even if you don't find the right fit for you, your life can be just as fulfilling with friends and family, a career, a purpose in life, hobbies and pets. Better having a great life alone than leading a miserable one with someone you don't really love just because you thought that you had to settle for someone:)

    I wish I keep all these things in mind without experiencing this much pain and grief but you know what😊😇 it's not too late to have a healthy life and relationship ...I'm grateful I came across to this channel you guys are amazing. You are a living proof of a Godly relationship. You are a blessing. idk if u guys know this but u are helping a lot of teenage christians to pursue God's best for them. Thank God and Thank you!🤍
