Kick knock back is the best thing they've added to his kit
It's also the funniest thing they could've added. Getting boops with Zenyatta with the sandal kick is hilarious every time.
Why do you like the knockback so much? I haven't played Zen much at all in OW2 yet. I would have thought the increase in dmg on his kick would be the best change (between knockback and dmg).
@@SFuruli From my experience it really bamboozles enemys and displaces their crosshair giving you an advantage in a fight
I got play of the game from getting a 3 piece by kicking them off the map with zen
@@SFuruli It does so much to get someone off you in a duel. When someone like a Genji is trying to murderize you, kicking launches them up stopping their damage for a little and allows you to get some easy shots. It can help you survive a freaking tank at times long enough to get to your team
I used to play him a lot in OW1, love the hero, but I think it's very slow in OW2, so I'm playing a lot more Kiriko in OW2, those Kunai's to the face are so fun to hit
I've been playing zen a lot still but ill swap to kiriko or moira of need be
I feel like hes much faster in ow2. His passive, lack of barriers, and kick passive allowing him to get close range enemys off of him makes him really independant and strong. I sometimes find myself flanking and poking off enemy healers lol
Nothing beats that feeling of some squishies pushing you and headshotting them

I am by no means a good player (doesn’t help i’m stuck on consol), but I’ve improved a lot since ovw1. Zen is my absolute favorite support to play and vids like these always help! He’s so much fun and i’ve gotten a lot more comfortable playing as him from tips like these 😊
I like him because you don't have to put much attention onto the healing. Asl ong as there is line of sight and no breaks in LoS form ore than a few seconds you can heal them. Some like genji are hard to heal because they are all over the place and fast. But with zen no problem keeping them healed. Can focus on throwing damage and keeping LoS every few seconds.
Another good tip for zen is bind your orbs to scroll wheel. That way if you dont have a good angle on your teammate or the enemy, you can just scroll while moving and it makes your chances of hitting the orb a lot higher.

He teaches you game sense and positioning better than anyone cause he's so easy to catch off guard.

I love playing Zen he is definitely my most played character. Thanks for the tips. I really need to start kicking a lot more. I can usually handle any tracers targeting me because I can predict her movements and I love charging my orbs to snipe out widows. Sombras are just mean sometimes and they like to bully me. They will go invisible and wait to hack and kill me when I’m leaving the spawn room. 😢
Fully charge a shot if you think you're gonna get hacked so you can rock her world when she appears.
I’ve been playing since 2017 and haven’t really played much zen. I thought with ow2 it’d be nice to learn a new character. I’m still struggling a bit (especially cause I’m currently playing on switch) but this guide really helps

They made support fun kiriko and zen are cool
Zens harmony should not be looked at as healing, more like a buff. I watch my team carefully to see who is about to take a duel, and immediately harmony them and discord their target.
I use zen as an enabler, if I feel like our tank needs to push a little harder, they get the harmony, if I see our dps about to take a duel in the enemy back line, they get the harmony even if I have a teammate beside me that’s critical.
Do not play zen as a healer, he decides duels with his abilities

I’ve been killed so many times by Zenyatta I decided I just have to learn him lmao
I’m a support player in low GM, currently trying to expand my roster because I’m mostly a mercy, bap, kiriko player. I’m a very heal botty support (I know when to do damage, but I’m insecure about aim so I take a lot less shots if I could be healing instead, smth I need to work on). I can play most every support with the exception of Zenyatta (and Lucio bc imo he’s completely map dependent NOT comp dependent). I understand how his discord orb works but I think this video definitely helped me understand how to use my harmony orb better (I always assumed just heal the dps kinda like a mercy would do with beam). With the knowledge that no I shouldn’t ONLY be healing the dps (probably obvious but wasn’t for me) that will prob help a lot. Also the dive knowledge sounds extremely helpful, i didn’t know what comp zen was supposed to work with and that’s probably going to help.
Anyway If anyone has any Zenyatta tips that weren’t included for a low gm (gm 5) I’d be happy to listen!

I am a Zenyatta main and watched this to see where I can grown. The slow healing especially for tanks is so annoying. Once had a guy playing Dva yell at me in vc telling me to "swap characters if I am not gunna heal"..... i was healing
Zen is such an interesting support, you can’t really value him based off healing output which is interesting for a support, his damage potential is insane, plus he’s such a chill dude lol
I'm a zen main and I gotta say I play him all the time and it works well.

If the other team has a n annoying kiriko would it be worth it to also have an Ana? To bait out the suzu? I guess you can just add back the orb of discord right away though?

Most of the game u want 2 be behin ur whole team unless u got an advantage like 5v3 then u can get more aggressive :)
As they mentioned briefly, the biggest thing is using natural cover as much as possible. You can discord someone, duck behind cover to charge secondary fire, then pop out long enough to hit them. You definitely want to avoid too far out in the open since he has no movement abilities.
I love using him (since in All Roles I always fall on Support). I usually use Orb on the Tank and Discord on whatever enemy he's targeting. The problem I have with him is speed, he is very slow and in game modes where I have to get somewhere fast (like the robot push, or attack the escort) I just cannot use him. And also his ultimate, although it heals fast it needs everyone in the same place, something that rarelly happens, and it does nothing to the other team... if it could at least slow down the enemies, that would be cool.
BTW Mei got removed because she was "exploited" with her wall stopping the car and the robot from moving.
Put the damage orb on the tank to make everyone blast through them then if u have a tank and they don't you win 90% of the time.
I never knew about that passive melee 😂
The most fun thing is if you can manage to have a trans for every team fight. I used to ensure I was a part of every kill, always healing, and always damaging so I could build it up to save myself or my team?
YO YO YO in the bottom right corner next to ammo my game shows the orb of discord ability on the left and the orb of harmony ability on the right?? i’ve looked at multiple videos and no one else has this is my zen screen glitched?? is there anyway i can change zenyatta’s display?? it also doesn’t match to how i have my controller set up (harmony on L1 discord on R1) and it really bugs me

In a normal - good ranked Matches i have Like 7-8k DMG and 7k heal is that good or Bad as Zen

i have been forced on zen lately in comps for the discord orb, but thats all i can do, i have no aim ability, especially projectile, but at least ive been winning my games somehow with him (52 assist, 8 elms lmao) hoping to find out if there is a trick to heal more with him tho
I fk love zenyatta ,im using him as my mane and hes is realy fun to play with and his kick is realy handy in defeating tanks bc they go far away and you can shoot them easy and its a big change you survive or kill them

Okay just wondering: so zen isn’t supposed to have an insane amt of heal stats at the end of the game right? Idk I was playing zen tdy and and it’s not even like he heals a lot so idk what my teammates expect. I was getting yelled at for not healing enough by a teammate who was tank but playing like dps. Like from j playing him for a couple hours what seemed to work was throwing the orb on a teammate in a fight then helping them kill the enemy. Or since I sit near the back so I can see everyone I’ll try to throw one at someone who’s low. But it can’t j be me right? Like my teammates have to help me heal them. I played with a good team where the dps would fall back a little or get behind cover so my orb has enough time to heal them. This tank teammate btw never grouped up or took hits or anything so neither me or the dps had any good angles. Zen seems rly good at taking care of the dps teammates if they’re smart enough to back off and let me heal them. But I usually start every fight off with my orb on a tank since they’re the ones in the front taking the first hits. Then I’ll try and orb players that are low that my other healer can’t get to. I’m very new to this game btw and j tryna learn. Started like two weeks ago and I’m j silver 1 in dps and support
I've been maining Zen on my way to grind for Kiriko in the BP. I love his Damage and I even often out-damage my DPS as Zen. This is unrated though as I didn't want to play Comp until I have Kiriko, but I might as well just stay on Zen. A part of me feels like I'm wasting my aim playing on Support, but Zen feels like a good compromise. Kiriko meanwhile has good burst, but Zen just does it better imo. Kiriko still has better heals and team util tho ofc.
Me personally like playing this character not only because he is a good character to play but he has a bright and optimistic personality.
I’ve been playing Zen for a long time, since OW1, but I haven’t played too much of the game and am mostly casual. But, having those little icons at the bottom of who has what is such a nice quality of life feature. Sometimes I would tend to spam my discord (I still do when I panic) so much so that it wouldn’t actually be of any help. That little feature has made that so much clearer in my head. I’m still trash, don’t get me wrong, but it’s something.
Edit: also, question on how the LOS works. For Discord, does LOS mean that none of our team has visual, or is it both teams? Same thing for Harmony, that would be quite helpful to know.

Bro I’m struggling so hard it’s like Im getting focus and nobody focus my discord. I shoot and play cover and nothing really seems to move forward. My team gets rolled and it’s super difficult to rank up

i use zenyatta when enemy team plays road hog , stops road hog from self healing
Zen can block D.vas ult (if done correctly lol, i havnt been able to do it as zen but some zens have blocked my self-destruct)

Hey man, I watched a video where you said you really want this channel to be your job. I think that’s admirable; try playing tarkov - you have a really blunt style of explaining core components of games; it would translate well to Tarkov videos.
“But then I have to play tarkov” yeah it sucks but there is quite literally an infinite amount of gameplay, meta-explanation, and immersive experience to build community around. Good luck with the channel regardless; I play a bit of overwatch so I’ll be watching some videos if you keep producing this content.
I’ve actually been thinking about this at a pretty low level; I think that the tarkov community is missing some sort of inherently talented fps player who plays tarkov and explains it at a really basic level for players.
