Wow you have actually made me less sad about his passing his sense of humour is literally how my brain is wired and I was so upset when I found out but his kids will be getting older and will be in a stage where they enjoy his comedy gold and see how much he was loved by his fans ❤
i think the biggest shock hearing about his passing is, its like youve lost a mate, really genuinly saddened when i heard the awful news and likened it to a mate dying...so very very sad. what a brave brave gloriously funny man. so very sad at the mo.
You summed it up exactly. I don't know any of these TV people, like most of us, and rarely, I feel a certain link. Writing it makes me feel like one of these crazy fans that I despise but being his age, it is a huge wake up call, not to mention the feeling of a huge loss tomy comedy world
And that it was so unexpected. Someone you’re very fond of, even though you don’t know them, but you like them. He was one of the first comedians that caught my attention when I first saw him on QI. A delightful person.
Still in disbelief with his passing. Feels like a friend or family member has gone. Thoughts with his friends and family. His kids should be extremely proud. What a true talent. X
Yes I know. Hasn't sunk in with me either. Maybe because he was always so strong and lively everywhere he went, and kept it quiet so his death was so sudden yesterday.. Still can not emotionally make it sink in... I mean... He IS here!
Sean will never really die. His legacy is here for all to see. I don't think I've ever seen such an outpouring of love and sorrow for the passing of a celebrity. He was and is a joy to behold, a fabulous sense of humour.
I know I'm not alone in knowing that even though I never got a chance to hang out with Sean, watching him in his element, surrounded by friends and doing what he did best always made me feel like we were there at the table. Rest easy Sean.
Such a loss when someone who makes the gloomy world become a little bit brighter leaves us. You'll never be forgotten as long as we are still able to smile Sean. Thanks mate. I wish you rainbows.
Sean " I switched back into club comic mode , and dealt with the hecklers" and , boy, could he deal with hecklers !!!!! :-) RIP to one of stand-up's greatest !
Re-watching this again. Two of my most beloved and most wonderful characters who happen to be comedians. I love how Frank tries to understand the concept. That’s because he is really interested. He never used that to be entertaining. It’s like a comedy lesson this. Sean was a genius, we all know that. Frank really tries to get into this, see how this works. It’s very honest. It’s very beautiful and real.
I'm American, and I only discovered Sean about a year and a half ago. I was completely gutted when I heard he was gone. Felt like I had just made a great new friend and then lost him too soon.
@@allankeane354 Holy shit. I forgot I even made this comment. And yeah. 15 storeys high is good. The style of comedy is very surreal. Hard to get into I guess but I love it. Sean's live shows were also amazing. "Sean Lock Live" is great He left plenty of content behind for us to remember him by
And he was in good company in Frank since Frank cleaned himself up and got off the Alcohol. Gutted to hear that 15 Storeys high not succeeding jaded poor Sean, I suspect it's going to actually garner more attention now, which is bittersweet
Sean Lock is a fantastic experimentalistic and a true living man, who outstrips most self-described adventurers, philosophers and scientists at their appended attribute. He is a "sane adventurer", able to improve him output with the testing and introduction of new ideas without ruining what already works. He prospers on the chaos of audience participation, and grows on his own backfires. Treasure this man.
Love the banter between Sean and Frank here. Two of my favourite comics. The bit about the cemetery was lovely. Love how Sean wasn't "on" as such, not trying to outdo Frank. He has this genuineness underneath his funniness. And just hearing how he helped out Frank when both were probably struggling comics didn't surprise me at all. RIP Sean.
It's quite sad seeing him there with his parka on the back of his seat. I imagined one day bumping into him on the street, politely asking him if we could go for a pint, and then, instead of just filling him with platitudes, talk about my admittedly dull life as well as talking about how blimmin funny I find him. I had tickets for his last tour which he cancelled due to his health presumably. Lucky escape for him as I would have been hanging about the rear exit for the Eden Court theatre, had it gone ahead!
Love to any Sean's family if you read this I'm so sorry for your loss..he was real and unique loveable tough honest I got words for days and the best part he just your normal dude gutted I never saw him live
You're the star in church 3 times. Your christening, your wedding and your funeral. So if you see someone getting married, that's their penultimate church appreciance.
There was a playful cheekiness to Sean Locks comedy which was in contrast to some of the more cynical comedy you get these days. He was inventive but lighthearted.
Yeah, but what a legacy he has left. My youngest son Harry died at 15 after a battle with leukemia. Been to Highgate cemetery and I thought, is Karl Marx's grave a communist plot! Seriously though, Harry (my youngest son) whilst in hospital, said, "Dad when the girls from School come to visit me, I want to say, "I `m not afraid of dying, I just don't want to die a virgin." then he laughed and within a month or two died a virgin;

Knowing that Skinner used to be a raging alcoholic who regularly pissed the bed, it's a little concerning that he never visited Lock's bathroom when he stayed with him.
The donkey laugher is initially a good sign of succeeding as a comedian. But when they've become a household name, the fake donkey laugher emerges and uses it to get the comic's attention when the DVD is being filmed.
