Marie your food forest looks amazing and those colors are just awesome! Strangely enough in the US they say that greens and cabbages are cold weather crops yet it grows in Jamaica throughout the year even the bok choy we can't grow that here in the US except for early fall and early spring and you not even using fertilizer it only goes to show you that Jamaica's land is blessed and I've often said that the land in America is barren! You cannot grow food in the US unless you amend the soil. Your food forest is truly blessed amazingly it's a container permaculture you are definitely setting a precedent
When growing up in the country I never heard of ammendment. We used chicken manure and plenty mulch like what I'm doing now, and everything grew just fine. Our land is indeed blessed 🙌 😇 thank you so much for the continued support ❤️
They are huge

I totally agree with you
Lovely peppers☘
The best
Beautiful garden
Thank you so much ☺️
Sunflowers can be single branching or multi-branching. After the flowers leave the flower head on the stalk to ripen the seeds. The seeds can be harvested for eating or for sowing another crop. If left to dry on the plant it becomes food for the birds. Yours looks likely to be a single branching but may still send out smaller side shoots with smaller flower heads. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much ☺️ 💓 I appreciate the support ☺️

Good morning Ms Marie, it is a pleasure to see your garden daily. We look forward to your videos. 😊 Please if you would be so kind, can you tell me what the issue with ants is about? I have always appreciated the work they do for me. I garden in the US northeast. The ants pollinate my long bean and okra here as well as the bitter melon. They also let me know where aphids are. Since you’re in JA, maybe there is a difference in what ants will do there. Thank you for any info you can provide. I may need to use it in the near future. Blessings
Thank you so much for the support ❤️
OK, for one, the ants bite us and soar our skin, they build nests on the roots of our plants and kill them. They tunnel through our sugarcane and gives them desease. I know they are beneficial in the garden, but too much of anything is not good. So we have to try and keep the ants population in check
Happy Saturday sis nice to see you today
Nice to see you too
The young pods of sweet peas are edible , when they mature the seeds are harvested as shelling peas.
Thank you so much ☺️ 💓
Awesome Marie!!! Trying my hand at papaya this week ❤🙌🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
Great 👍 I hope it does well for you
@@FarmingOnTheRocks thank you Marie 💗 you are my inspiration 😉
It blooms only once but you can dry the seeds parch the seeds and eat them
Thank you so much 💓
You can eat everything on that peas skin and all
Thank you so much ☺️
I knew you have loved the peas 🫛 it's so good ❤❤❤
So good
Great job
Thank you so much
Wow u have a cat farm
You can say that again
By the looks of that corn, something has to be going on☘
Thank you
Normally where there is ants there are aphids. The ants farm the aphids like humans farm cattle. You can spray for the aphids but you would be disrupting the natural ecosystem in your garden.
That not the case in my garden, the ants even build nests on the rocks lol
Then the ants are finding higher ground in order to keep their nests safe. I noticed in my area that ants will always move their nests to higher ground..it could be in the roof..especially during bad weather. They will do anything to keep their community alive.
Oh yes
Papaya haven't produced
Thank you for watching
If that is snap peas you eat the whole thing, pod and seeds
It's Alaska peas 🫛. Is it the same thing?
@@FarmingOnTheRocks Hi Marie, Alaska peas is not the same as snap peas. Snap peas are much sweeter and are eaten pods and all
I don't use chemicals, what natural you use please.
She shared this a couple days ago

Did you bought the papaya seeds or use the seeds of the ones you bought.❤
It's from a papaya we ate
@@FarmingOnTheRocks Thanks for answering 💯💯😇
@@sheronjohnson2041 you're welcome 😊
Put some ashes on the ants in the earth, that works fine
I water everyday so it just gets washed away
Rubbing alcohol is great for ants. I use it all the time around my house
Thank you but I would need gallons
I remember when you planted that tiny papaya plant 🪴. It is growing fast
Oh yes
