- SCP 590 is a Safe Class anomaly also known as He Feels Your Pain.
SCP-590 appears to be a young male, approximately 16 years of age. The only benefit he receives from his powers is apparent longevity, as he has not aged since his arrival at the Foundation.
When SCP590 touches any other human, he heals all injuries and ailments, physical and mental, they may have. As an odd side effect, SCP-590 receives the injuries upon himself, being subjected to all the pain, and the aftermath.

Let's talk about Adam Bright. The patriarch of the Bright family.
How has nobody talked about the how this man sacrificed his son to bring back his already dead daughter almost causing TJ to die and causing both TJ and Sarah to be locked up at the Foundation and then decided to spend every ounce of energy and spare moment trying to get Sarah released even though the Foundation could give her far better needed care than he could while just abandoning his son to the use and abuse he no doubt knew he was suffering.
WHY ARE WE NOT MORE OUTRAGED BY THIS?!? HE'S THE REAL VILIAN.
I mean he at least tried to fix his family, sure TJ is torture but at least he can't die unless the foundation put an overload amount of injuries, Sarah was a ticking clock and it's his responsibility to make sure she's save and see her once again

So I wouldn't be surprised if Mikell Bright was also given the "shut up about your families containment procedures or we will execute you too" speech when he became an 05 as well.

I like the idea that TJ is at least finally safe from the Foundation, in a manner of speaking. Pretty hard to get any anomaly out of confinement. Now I wonder if it would at last be a mercy to restore TJ's mind to that of a teenager and let him live a kind of life? He's loved and he knows it. He would understand having to limit physical touch, but he's around those who love him, and don't treat him like just an object. Now perhaps you writers can write a reality that would let Iris go or improve her lot in life? I do keep stating that she is also a product of the early numbering system, and all you have to do is forbid her to own any cameras and keep the photographs few and far between...or just amnesticize her, give her a primordial fear of pictures, and let her go. She's no harm to anyone otherwise.

Unfortunately Iris and her abilities are to useful. She's so talented that she was put on a task force with Able who even respected her. Not to mention that forbidding her from accessing photos or amnesticizing her doesn't seem like an effective or cost efficient method of containment that 05 would be willing to entertain. On the surface she seems relatively harmless, but she's actually really powerful and dangerous in her own right.
Do you know who could benefit from being saved from the foundation? 321. You know Sarah Bright. The youngest of the Bright Siblings. Giant girl with severely stunted mental development. Shame she was never mentioned in the Bright family reunion. It'd be nice if one of her siblings could take care of their little sister.
Sorry, I'm being a little tongue and cheek, and a bit salty. Considering that Sarah was one of the reasons that Claire left the foundation, I was confused that Sarah wasn't mentioned once. I'm just going to head canon that Claire liberated Sarah and took her somewhere safe from the foundation.
@@Dragonblade722 Sara's difficulties would make it very difficult for her to attend such a "meeting", nor comprehend anything as she has the mentality of a newborn. It is wrong what they do to her but they do take care of her health without the astronomical expense of her healthcare in the USA. No, Iris and 343 both should have far more freedom than they get, and Iris might benefit from someone being able to get her to hone and teach her better with reality warping skills or how to subdue them entirely (say, 343). Either way, I prefer a Foundation that has been enlightened on treating their SCP's with far greater respect and try hard to keep them happy and comfortable. They'd have only a third of the difficulties they do if they weren't so anal. Let Adam Bright be with his daughter, damnit! That is what makes me salty. They refused him at every turn, so he took the promise of 05 rank to have the power to order her released. All the hard work they got out of him for that, and in the end, it was still vetoed.
Iris and the Teenage Succubus were both rewritten into stupid versions of themselves. Iris should not have been tampered with in the manner of writing and all they had to do with the Teenage Succubus was make her 18, not rewrite her into that trash I read. Yeah, I have to be one of those girls who knows quality when she reads it, and "Teenage Gaea" isn't the same quality, and should be a separate SCP and Dr. Clef just be blamed for being too randy an old goat!

@@ZeoViolet I'm more salty that they didn't even name drop 321. TJ was part of the meeting and he's mental capacity, while not as sever as 321, was severely stunted. Even if she couldn't be in the meeting, I would have loved something like "Jack, take good care of Sarah. She need's her big brother too. Damn what the council says.".
I personally prefer Teenage Gaea, but that just a personal preference of mine. The original made me squeamish, but if you preferred it that's fine. On the whole, I personally don't mind the foundation being jerks. It's kinda part of the charm to me. They do a lot of "necessary good", but they are not "good guys".
Tamlin reminds me of an Irish tale I've read before. He is probably the very same Tam Lin that was touched by the fairy queen. So that might explain all of the anomalous things his family can do.
If i had to deal with feedback that the 'Wonderful Jack Bright' caused at the foundation. I would get a cease & desist notice. I would even go a length to just get as far away from the area.
Jack Bright might be a mischievous immortal, both an asset and an irritation to the Foundation -- but i feel that on a deep, core level, hes really a good person who ultimately has good intentions.
I mean, if he copies his consciousness into a body permanently by occupying it for over a month then swaps bodies, then he could create a version of himself which could know the peace of death. It wouldn't be HIM dying, but it's the next best thing.

so whenever he switches bodies he obviously keeps the memories of the previous body, but what if he has two bodies alive at the same time? does one suddenly get the memories when the other dies? or do the memories transfer to the amulet upon death and can only be remembered upon the capture of a new body?
@@ovencake523 they both have the memories leading to the same problem as copying someone's nuerology and brain structure to "download" them into a machine. They could both simultaneously exist. Both could easily just be different streams of consciousness under the illusion of being on long stream of consciousness.
Dr bright is basically like a far more unhinged version of The Doctor. Unlike The Doctor it’s actually impossible to kill bright.

Considering that scp 321 wasn't mentioned once except for her being in the photo, I'm gonna make my own head canon. Claire liberated Sarah from the foundation and hid her away somewhere safe. Claire would take good care of her baby sister until eventually Claire's daughter took over caring for her aunt.

The reason she wasn't at the meeting is because it was a unanimous decision that having both Sarah and TJ in the same room could only lead to horrible consequences.

I like to think Jack gives in to his impulsive, immortal urges as a way of continued bargaining with the O5 council in regards to his brother
Is it true that the creator or founder of the amulet (this is before Dr. Bright came into contact with it) wanted it so he could be essentially immortal and then killed himself to complete the process of fusing with the amulet, but the amulet required someone to be killed by an outside force and not one's own hand, so the amulet did not work for him? So he died without being fused to the amulet, and the amulet ended up in foundation custody. That is when Dr. Bright came into contact with it and was killed by Abel while holding the amulet. So if the original owner of the amulet had been killed by someone/something else rather than his own hand, Dr. Bright would not be an SCP right now.

This is one of the more complicated scps. I think 590 has one of the worst ability though. He is an scp locked in containment for some ability he doesn't even want.

Dr. Bright is one of the most interesting characters in the setting of SCP. Wish there were more tales about the other characters, like Dr. Kondraki.

What if the amulet were not touched after he passed away? Would this be the ability to “pass away” permanently? Or would Dr Bright be conscious in the amulet still? Has this been tested? Would that be considered a form of DNR?
The amulet cannot be destroyed, and as long as there are hominids, there is a non-zero chance that the amulet WILL be touched sometime in the future.
The only story I've found where Jack is actually able to die is in a story where Clef shoots the medallion into the sun.

It's kinda funny, in a dark way, that Dr. Bright's efforts to get ahold of his brother line up much better with the SCP Foundation's mission than what the SCP Foundation itself did with the poor kid. "Secure, Contain, AND PROTECT."

Well, muscle memory would protect Jack. Assuming he takes his infiltration missions seriously, the only thing he would ever need to be wary of is any accents he is gaining/losing. If the person he inhabits used to have a very thick Australian accent, but now they are speaking with whatever accent Jack has (likely American), people would get suspicious. Thankfully, he is taking over their body with his own soul and temporarily repressing the original soul (unless he inhabits the body for too long, in which case a clone of Jack is made and the original soul is lost forever). No actual body parts are changes. The brain is the exact same brain. The muscle memory is still the same. And what are accents but just muscle memory in speech patterns? It would also allow him to walk like the body “donor” too, in case that’s a very obvious description of the original person.
It also means Doctor Bright is also getting any diseases, viruses, cancerous growths and tumors, and disabilities.
In fact, since the brain isn’t changing at all, he might gain their preferences in everything as well.
