Even though we have vitamin d supplement but lack of sunlight can effect human biological clock. Because human required natural light to regulate sleep and hormone. (Mood as well) Lack of sunlight for long periods of time even if they received vitamin d supplement also can effect sleep and hormone regulation. However it not really a problems. Because we have artificial sunlight and stuff.
The fact that plants is not effected is very good new. Because we can just farming at night and harvesting at night. While having automatic watering system taking care of the crops during the daytime. And it a very good source of vitamin, protein from legumes which can replace protein from meat. (Because I think animal outside is a ball of pudding now)
I'm not even surprised Bright is doing normal in this situation, but what did surprise me is how Able managed to team with 106, I thought 106 was quite the lonely wolf

the medallion cancels out any anomalous effects, such as the hivemind of the blobs and the sun. if the medallion is on something, it’s dr bright now. edit: except scps with too much fuckin plot armor (im looking at you, 682)
Theoretically, Jack Bright can defeat every single one of these creatures and since the sun doesn't affect non flesh creatures, the medalion will work even in daylight.

I feel like Jack Bright is pretty much the only one who could bring some "Normalcy" To the after the Day Break Scenario. He in theory could use the amulet to take over every slime monster out there or fuse with them then move them all into an SCP ship large enough to move all of them in take the amulet off and shoot that version of bright into the sun that created it. It wont stop others from melting but it will bring the threat down significantly
All the slime monsters that come in contact with it will identify as “the real Jack Bright”. Although they may become somewhat more cooperative they will likely not consent to being killed or having the amulet taken from them before the JB conscious is merged with the slime body.
Weird to see a normally jokey character like bright in such a grim situation. but damn... I thought bright had a chance to keep hold of things for a while there, and then they dropped the bomb of able teaming up with the other scps while he's trying to protect civilians... The tension really gets ratcheted up so intensely in this one. Good work to the writer I have to say. Not to mention the scp explained team.
Bright is a tragic character. His whole family is either dead by the Foundation or are all under "containment". Top it off. For a while, after he became basically immortal. He was routinely executed on a monthly bases. All to keep his anomalous in check. (Though I believe that was reconed.) And him cracking jokes is a defensive mechanism to keep any sense of control. If he doesn't joke. You know shit is bad....
@DripTrollKing There was a story. At one site that Dr. Bright was at. He accidentally broke the arm off of a Cat Statue (forgot the SCP name). To which caused everyone for the most part to black out. And upon waking up. Everyone ended up becoming Jake Bright. And all of them wanted to kill the real Jack Bright...well besides Dr. Clef, he was just playing along.

It's only a matter of time until 173 shows up. Scp-1689: bag of holding potatoes Of course Scp-343 and Scp-999 I'm sure there's more that would be helpful if not far better.

I love this man more with story. He's choatic and freaky on the outside but he still is a site director. He's literally one of the most intelligent ppl in the foundation and overall amazing.

That is a solution actually. Bright can use the medallion to take over the 001-A creatures and control it. But it raise some questions though, since the medallion would normally erased the hosts' mind. Will the 001-A creatures' mind will also get erased by the medallion? If it was, then Bright could easily toss the Medallion to every 001-A creatures on the planet and killing their minds, Ultimately saving humanity since the survivors will no longer have to worry about the creatures anymore.

I love this day break story because it seems like an actual movie because you got your protagonist aka dr.bright who is known as a goofy guy actually take charge during horrible event and deal with antagonists and actual survive it all
Really like this one. When Day Breaks is one of the most fundamentally terrifying SCPs, and Dr Bright is bloody brilliant. Great to see their potential used to maximum effect in this story!

😁i have always been a sucker for dark humor, especially when it's used during a stressful time and humor is more of a coping skill then. Dr. Bright getting that win and also turning into weird fleshy tendrils monster. THis was a damn good when day breaks episode. A plus side of this situation and it being the end of the world and whatnot, there ain't nothin stopping Dr. Bright from wandering around outside and essentially using a city as a playground AND hunting ground! \o/! He can also, ya know, help any survivors he may or may not find and assist them through the other fleshy monsters that are wandering around.
That does provide the foundation with a very mild advantage, Sending out bright, and if he can withstand the pain, willingly let himself be destroyed, they could secure a few areas.... Though with brights mental state I feel that's unlikely
Actually, it takes a month for his consciousness to be permanently implanted in the host. If he took the medallion off, the blob monster would become innert, with no mind at all; neither Bright's nor the old hive mind.

That is a solution actually. Bright can use the medallion to take over the 001-A creatures and control it. But it raise some questions though, since the medallion would normally erased the hosts' mind. Will the 001-A creatures' mind will also get erased by the medallion? If it was, then Bright could easily toss the Medallion to every 001-A creatures on the planet and killing their minds, Ultimately saving humanity since the survivors will no longer have to worry about the creatures anymore.

This is by far my favorite part of the day breaks storyline.
Bright throwing the medallion at the blob monster, beating able, and just seeing him going through such a grim time in the foundation’s history 10/10

😁i have always been a sucker for dark humor, especially when it's used during a stressful time and humor is more of a coping skill then. Dr. Bright getting that win and also turning into weird fleshy tendrils monster. THis was a damn good when day breaks episode.
A plus side of this situation and it being the end of the world and whatnot, there ain't nothin stopping Dr. Bright from wandering around outside and essentially using a city as a playground AND hunting ground! \o/! He can also, ya know, help any survivors he may or may not find and assist them through the other fleshy monsters that are wandering around.
That does provide the foundation with a very mild advantage,
Sending out bright, and if he can withstand the pain, willingly let himself be destroyed, they could secure a few areas....
Though with brights mental state I feel that's unlikely
Actually, it takes a month for his consciousness to be permanently implanted in the host. If he took the medallion off, the blob monster would become innert, with no mind at all; neither Bright's nor the old hive mind.

It's two actually - One of them is actually on the infographics channel, the other isn't (I like to think that they're both related) - I have trigeminal neuralgia (also known as the suicide disease) and congenital neuralgia, the last one affecting the ears but just as painful as trigeminal. There have been many, many days I've wished I had the fictional tickle monster, but the channel is enough to distract.
