I no longer catch tiny fish...........I catch Debo Dinks and 3. both myself and my 8year old grandson Lucas say Dang it frequently. (way better than the alternative) Thanks Debo. Oh and your year aint that bad..............I still have 3 weeks till bass season.

I wish we had some 'clear' bank areas like you were fishing in this video, most of my spots are overrun by trees and bushes, have to pick your spots or you end up leaving more lures in the trees than you'd like to. Great stuff as always!
I feel your pain. Throw in a 70 degree pitch to stand on while you’re trying to get under, around, or through the trees any way you can to get a lure in the water.
It's become a mantra for you- "Find wood, Pitch to wood." I fish from kayak & sometimes bank & every time I come across a lay-down or stump, I hear your voice in my head. I think that's pretty cool & it makes me smile. I was even happier Saturday when I pitched my Texas Rig & caught a 4.5 pounder hanging out under a log. Keep up the good work!

I live in Illinois so kind of in your area. A bought a lot of drop shot baits to try out for the 1st time but haven't tried any drop shot yet. I did catch my 1st top water yesterday with the black Zman Goat toadz. I was surprised because of water here is still pretty cold.
Debo, I give you credit. I promised myself to give the drop shot a chance this season. And every time I try it, I give it two casts and I’m done. Way to stick to your goals!

Those sunfish do love to eat the tails off those flatworms. Drop shot def isn't the most exciting or easiest to rig, but it'll get em! I'd love to see some boat vidyas, sometimes you just need to hit em from a different angle, go get em dude! 🖖

@DEBO - i know you hate tying on drop shots, try just running line straight through the hook with just a bobber stop on each side. super easy, quick, and you can adjust your leader length
It's always good to put some time in on a technique that is a bit of a nemesis, the skills you learn from that are much more solid. The thrill of a top water bite! Soon it will be Froggin Time! What an honor it is to have folks recognize you and fish with you.
Debo, you still put out the best content on this platform. I love how all the top profiles will show you how to rig and retrieve a technique, but never show you more than a single catch. I like how you take entire videos showing catching just using that technique.
I just picked up some drop shot worms to give it a try. My first drop shot fish was a dinky bluegill 😆. Can't wait to try it out more! I'm excited for the first frogging video!!
Debo, that was a great video. Many get upset when someone comes up to say hello while they're fishing, you were super friendly. That's super cool in my book. I agree, it has been a crazy spring bass fishing with drinks being my specialty. A few pan fish is a added bonus!

I caught crazy nice smallies on a Hellgrammite rigged as a drop shot last summer. There is a great section of river near my office with fishing access via catwalk. Fishing from an elevated platform in heavy current makes it challenging maintaining contact with the bottom so I tried the drop shot rig. Worked super well. I took it elsewhere and it worked equally well when not elevated. Both Hellgrammites and 3” swim baits. KILLED EM
Great video. Would love to see some more technique specific videos out on the water (bank, boat, etc.). As a newer fisherman the videos that explain a setup, how to throw it and can give some up close shots on how you work the reel/rod would be extremely helpful. i.e. jerkbait fishing and really seeing how the twitching of the rod and the movement of the reel handle work in unison.

Fixing to go Choppo slingin and give my Pop Max a try here in 2 hrs. Went yesterday morning and ended up drop shottin until I decided to throw a Brian Schmidt Ned Dreds & Zman Ticklerz on some unsuspecting shallow female bucket mouths!! They made my day but I'm expecting bigger results in a couple of hours. I use the 90mm Maverick and Ghost Shad Choppos. Those 2 cover the whole bites I'm looking for. Did great last year!!! Pop X Max is a new one. I got one in Gill color pattern. Megabass makes some beautiful work. I'm sure it'll be ready for the task at hand
I used to suck at dropshot. Switched to longer shank (Roboworm Rebarb, Owner Covershot) nosehooked and land almost all my fish. Those mosquito hooks lost me a lot of fish (even the ones that say they're for dropshot). Good luck!
For me the drop shot is hard to put down. Everyone around my area throws big Texas rigs so the drop shot is something they aren't used to seeing. Even the neko rig

Try the zoom trick worm on the t rig on the drop shot it's absolutely been deadly for me, I noticed it produced bigger bites for me.

Since you mentioned it (frog). I set the hook of black Spro Frog on a 6ft water lizard yesterday. It didn't go well! No turtles here!
