      @@SabaqnoGaara yes I’ve seen Jinteki project and it’s garbage compared to what an actual card game company could do. You think having a crappy little software that allows players to play virtually is on the same level as having stores and lgs’s put out real cards out in to people hands and to play the game in tournaments in addition to having an online platform? The answer is no. The game is at this point surviving not thriving, it has lost a ton of its player base after WoTC stopped the lease and it would do a lot better if it functioned as before. The game has been forgotten, the only thing that keeps it going is it’s enfranchised players, no new players gives a fuck about Netrunner which is sad because the creator of Magic is the original creator so it should have the same opportunity. Don’t try to act like jinteki project is remotely close to the card output and outreach that FFG had. Yeah it’s good, but it’s a dwarf compared to the giants that WoTC and FFG could do.

      @@benyseus6325 I'm not exactly sure what are you talking about, since I've never mentioned a word jinteki in my comment. Due covid there are no live tournaments, but I'm positive there will be live tournaments organised by NISEI after the pandemic is over.
      And your commend is even less valid, since I'm a new player and playing for 5 months or so and throuroughly enjoying both online games on jinteki and offline games with my friends in startup format.
      I'm not gonna discuss outreach a big company had compared to community based non profit project is achieving, but regarding the actual cards they are making there are a lot of Netrunner veterans who say new format is more balanced and fun, or at least is on comparable level to what FFG had.

    I've got some questions. I just got the base game, and am really confused. The game seems SO stacked against the corporation. If you dont have a good hand at the start, your screwed. If you put down any unprotected servers, the runner hacks and trashes/steals them. The blue criminal is by far the strongest runner, as he just gets a million credits and blows through all your ice

    • @aaron.debattista
      @aaron.debattista 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There's a possibility that you are messing up in the rules. Are you remembering to draw a card every turn with the corp for example? This is aside from the 3 clicks, and a free action. Then again, why are you putting down unprotected servers? If I remember correctly, there are no rules prohibiting a corp player from setting down ice BEFORE the server is populated with a card.

    • @PhoenixO8
      @PhoenixO8 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@aaron.debattista I reread the rules and I did miss that you can make a new server with only ice, but you have to pay cred for it, which isnt that great. The biggest thing I found was that the runner DOESNT draw a card at the start of their turn AND get 4 clicks. Only the Corp gets to draw a card for free. This way both players have the name number of actions, just the Corp most spend one to draw a card while the runner can use his for anything

    • @aaron.debattista
      @aaron.debattista 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PhoenixO8 Don't worry too much about credits, there are plenty of cards which generate wealth, and it is much more important to have a protected agenda than a cheaper server. Try to setup ice that the runner's rig is poorly equipped to handle.

    • @PhoenixO8
      @PhoenixO8 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aaron.debattistabut that is assuming you get a variety of ice in your hand, plus having the cred to rez them. I think the biggest problem I had was letting the runner draw one card in addition to their four clicks. Changing that really does help the corp in a cascade of negated problems

    holy shit this is complicated

    • @lokihve6591
      @lokihve6591 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Which part is complicated?
      1. Score 7 points (Corporation by putting cards down and advancing them, Runner just needs to steal the card)
      2. There are servers where corporation keeps their cards. Central servers (your hand, your deck, and your discard pile) remote servers are created by putting new cards there.
      3. Servers can be protected by cards called ICE which is put horizontally above the server and the runner needs to go through them to access cards behind.
      4. If the runner decides to run (access cards) corporation can therefore flip the ICE cards and pay to play them. There are 3 different kinds of Ice and if the runner wishes to prevent the abilities on those to trigger he needs to have special cards (tools) which disable them. One for each type of Ice.
      The rest are just cards with one time effect and cards you play, pay for and put in front of you that grant you abilities
      Not really complicated
