Who would’ve figured!? A quiet flow walker muffler that increases back pressure, while increasing power, quieter and better smoother shifting my GOODNESS! How??
the walker quiet flow doesn't dissapoint. it really is quiet like it's name say. i am going to keep that in mind for my next muffler change. great video! thanks.
Damn dude! You took it to a good mechanic! He has a full assortment of Metric vise grips and screwdrivers plus a full complement of hammers! You're set. I stopped doing exhaust work without a 'hot wrench' a long time ago. Could've been done in the time it took him to beat that muffler off. That was brutal.
Thanks man! I purchased an after market muffler for my Wrangler after the factory one rusted out and it already is giving me issues! I just went with the Walker quiet flow after watching your video and this is the closest thing to Factory OEM you can get.
Thank you for the video :) A lot of places will scam ppl into paying MORE for the louder Walker SoundFX muffler, when its the Walker QuietFlow that really does the trick..

Hello sir I was watching your video and I'm very happy for you, I'll tell you a little story last time I changed the muffler on my car a few years back I've noticed that even though it was brand new it sounded awful loud I really dislike it, I'm the kind of person that don't like loud mufflers then I promise to myself when my car needs another I'm going to be making sure that it won't happen to me again even if it cost more money I don't care I believed you when you said they put on your truck a cheap no good muffler and that is exactly what I remember they charged me a hundred and something for probably a muffler that the cost was $30, your truck sounds well I'll tell you my friend my muffler it's old now and it's time to replace it and trust me I'll make sure they not going to get me a cheap $30 crap anymore, thank you very much I really enjoyed it your video you have a good evening .
The bolts with springs on the intermediate pipe flange are not supposed to be tightened all the way until the springs are crushed. That defeats the purpose of the springs.
I'm going for Sprayon WL-740 for my classic exhaust, supposedly good for up to 300 degrees, see how it holds up. It is the zinc in it that repels rust, both are negatively charged.
Back pressure does NOT give you more power, it takes away. The walker quiet flow is ok for a stock Tacoma but it isn't a high flowing muffler. It's just meant to be quiet. Ever notice why most drag cars have nothing more than open headers? That's because it makes more power. Back pressure is a old school myth that has been proven wrong many times over on dynos.
ls1jay i have one on my 4.3 blazer. It's loud when you hit it. Not earsplitting but you can 100% hear me coming. It gives it a rumble. Maby it's only with big 6's that it sounds like that 🤷
I ordered a new walker quite flow ss muffler for my 2015 Toyota Corolla to get my car to have a factory oe like quite sound when driving again in all rpm ranges when I'm driving that way I don't get headaches when driving. I've tried many mufflers in the past to see how each one would make my car sound like magnaflow mufflers round and oval, Flowmaster Original 40 series muffler, Borla Pro Xs muffler, DC sports muffler 5016, Evil Energy muffler, Cherrybomb glasspack, Paradox Signature Series Elite muffler, Paradox Hot Tamale muffler. My 2015 Toyota Corolla has a Vibrant Performance Resonator 2.25/2.25 in/out in place of where the stock resonator used to be. I also have a new Wix air filter and a new Wix cabin air filter that I installed myself back in January 2023. After trying many mufflers in the past 20 years pickup trucks, cars and hatchback cars and even on my current car I have now the 2015 Toyota Corolla all of the mufflers had some form of in car drone in the cabin to wear I would get tired/fatigued and get headaches and I can't have that. Can't wait to have this walker quite flow ss muffler installed next week to have a quite car again and will be the best quite muffler ever 100 percent and get the best possible gas mileage I can with a stock like walker quite flow ss muffler. Great excellent video man 👍 keep making great videos 👍
@@24theMoney The Walker quiet flow muffler I bought in April 2023 started developing rust very quickly and eventually ended up with air leaking from the seams on the walker quite flow muffler. So on my 2015 Toyota Corolla I had the exhaust shop in August 2023 cut directly behind where the vibrant performance resonator 2.25/2.25 inlet/outlet is put an increase in pipe size new custom 2.25 exhaust pipe to match the resonator pipe size all the way to a Magaflow muffler # 11235 in/out 2.25 with a Vibrant performance exhaust tip #1207 with 2.25 in/4.00 out. I liked the walker muffler because it kept everything quiet at all rpm ranges while driving but the walker muffler I had didn't last long at all. I wish someone made a oem like muffler that was quite but made from either 409 stainless steel like Magaflow mufflers or 304 stainless steel like Borla mufflers but be super silent when driving. Walker's version of it's stainless steel must be of a low quality because stainless steel is not supposed to rust in a few months or so. If you buy a walker muffler depending on where you live you might have to buy another muffler very soon like I did. I'm in Maryland and see all 4 seasons but where I live it rains alot. If your state is mostly a dry state with not much rain then you might be ok with the walker muffler not rusting away and having air leaking from the seams of the walker muffler very quickly like I experienced. So far with my exhaust upgrades my car is quite and does not attract unwanted attention from anyone but the best part is my miles per gallon have increased.
@@marvelousmarvin956 Thanks for the update. I would just spend a few more bucks and seek out an OEM...even a slightly used one off Ebay. These replacements never last as long and perform as well as stock. Cheers.
I just bought same muffler for my 07 Tacoma 4.0l . I'm really confused which intermediate pipe to use. It calls for the straight one, but my stock rusty one is the bent one. And 4.0l calls for straight intermediate pipe. But looking at it I think I need the bent one that says it's for the 2.7l motor.. now watching your video it looks like you didn't use the straight intermediate pipe you bought?
I just put a Walker muffler in my old Navigator. Made In USA. And I did the "knock test" just like you did :) . Sounded solid. It's heavy, too, just like my OE muffler.
Hi buddy mg that is really cool that is nice and Quiet we love Quiet mufflers. Are SUV Honda pilot it so Loud because of the sensor into the Cadillac converter's busted So we need a whole new quiet Buffalo
Backpressure kills engine performance, anyone who says you need backpressure doesn't understand how an engine works. Think about it, if backpressure was needed to make more power why aren't dragsters and stock cars using restrictive mufflers? The more backpressure you have the harder it is for the piston to push out exhaust gases thereby making the engine less efficient in terms of power and torque as well as lower fuel mileage.th-cam.com/video/A2G1EOB4P3w/w-d-xo.html
FLOW Rate is not only related to BACKPRESSURE. there are much more things ! . in low rpm range backpressure needs a bit. in high rpm ragne the lower backpressure the better perfomacne is.
@@hongmihnhahn7081 please explain your rational using physics as to why you need it and how you're going to achieve backpressure at low rpm and reduce it at high rpm. Back pressure is never good no matter what. What I believe you are referring to is scavenging exhaust pulses with a tuned exhaust which will increase low rpm torque using equal length headers where the exhaust stroke creates a negative pressure for the other 3 cylinders that act as a vacuum which assists in pulling out the exhaust gases from the remaining 3 cylinders on a V8 engine. This however has nothing to do with backpressure. Watch the attached video so you understand the difference and stop contributing to ignorance and myth. th-cam.com/video/fnCFyTJlMN0/w-d-xo.html
@Thor Thumb, some backpressure is by design however, it's where you see a difference in horsepower (higher engine revs and higher speeds) versus torque which comes in with lower rpms/lower speeds. Too much backpressure is clearly a bad thing just as we've seen with mufflers and catalytic converters when they become damaged/blocked internally. This can cause damage to an engine but this is usually indicated by "glowing" catalytic converters, higher engine coolant temperatures, poor engine performance etc. There are not just exhaust systems but engines designed for a certain amount of backpressure where the exhaust ports etc., are smaller than the intake which creates more backpressure/scavenging which translates into typically higher torque but lower rpm/speed as compared to more open exhaust ports. This is also the case in the number of valves, valve size as well as chamshafts and their profiles. Some are designed with greater torque or greater horsepower in mind and others are designed for more of a balance between the two.

300 for a muffler ? ouch ! those factory replacement sections that consist of pipe and a muffler is cheap crap . the pipe is very thin and the muffler cheapo. the pipe at the muffler shops are thicker walled for longer life . walker usually makes better replacement mufflers
