CRUISE LIFE VLOG: Carnival Breeze: Boarding the Ship & Setting Sail - Day 1 Part 1

- The time has finally arrived! We are in Galveston, TX and we are boarding the Carnival Breeze!!! It has been a year since our last cruise and we are beyond excited!!! Carnival has changed the embarkation process and it is much smoother. We were actually at the port about 45 minutes early and thought we would have to sit and wait but they told us to go ahead and board. It was fantastic, we were on board and unpacked in our room by 12:15!!! And about this room.... ths is the first cruise where we stayed in a Deluxe Oceanview Cabin, we actually had two connecting cabins. They wree fantastic and had so much room... and two bathrooms each!
After getting settled, we head up to Lido for some lunch. We decide on the Mongolian Wok and remember that it is always worth the wait, the food is so good! We wander and explore until it is time for the muster drill which is always such an exciting part of the cruise... it was funny to see the boys who could barely sit still they were so excited! Finally it was time for the sail away party! This is always al lot of fun and sets the tone for the fun adventure to come in the rest of the week!

I want you to know that I subscribe to and watch quite a few cruise tips, vlogs, etc. By far, yours is the absolute best all way around! I love the way you present the info in your vlogs. The vlogs are well done and not only informative, but fun to watch. You make a person feel like one of the family traveling with you!! VERY NICE JOB AND WELL DONE! My husband and I took an overnight crusie to the Bahamas probably 20 years ago. In November 2018, we will be taking our first 7 day cruise to the Western Caribbean on the Carnival Glory. Since you never done a balcony before. 3 words . You’ll love it!!! Will be sailing on the Breeze out of Port Canaveral Fl this coming Nov 2018 on a 14 day Journeys Cruise. I can’t wait because I get to go back to St.Lucia again .Ist time sailing on the Breeze and I’m sure I’ll love it. I sailed on the Carnival Sunshine a few times along with the Carnival Vista last August 2017. I’m so pumped for this Cruise. Can’t get here soon enough !!!

I love that the muster drill is inside and everyone is seated. I’ve done cruises and they made us stand outside in the heat. If you are early/ on time you end up with a lot of people standing in front of you and it’s so hot 😫. I learned my lesson and go after the last call so I can be in front of the line and feel air!
Yes, I have been on both and it is sooooo much nicer to have it indoors! I think all of the larger ships do this because they can't fit 4K+ people on those decks comfortably but I wish they all would!
We were there a day before you guys, and they also let us board the ship early! It was amazing!

We were just on that ship Feb 25 !! We were on the ship within 1/2 hour of arriving at port ...We have never boarded that quickly ..I was impressed.Enjoy your cruise!!

Thank you so much for this video. I had no clue I could bring on a case of Red Bull. I ordered 4 monster energy drinks from Carnival funshop for $20. I called them so fast to cancel my order. The money will be back on my card soon. I couldn't believe it. All the videos I watch always talk about sodas being allowed.Thanks again! I love watching your videos.

I can't believe it. We were actually on this cruise with ya'll. We had splurged because our Cruise the previous year had been canceled due to the hurricane and floods. We had an aft corner cabin on deck 7. Our oldest son had the interior room across from us, but we all used our balcony. It was pricy but a memory of a lifetime. We did two hours of the sailaway from our balcony. It was the best cruise of our lives. Little French Key on Roatan was awesome. We snorkeled on the back side of the pristine reef. Xinuntunich in Belize was also a fantastic excursion. We will be on the Freedom to Key West and Bahamas on 4/6/2019. I hope to see you all some day.

Love your videos, you guys are so cute. We are going on the Breeze in November for 14 days and have been on it before. Loved the ship. So far it is the favorite of all the Carnival Ships we've been on. We've never been on a ship twice before so but going on the Journey's cruise so it's more about the ports this time. Can't wait. Looks like your having a great time. You know the only bad thing about a ocean view room it's hard to go back. We got upgraded once from a ocean view to a balcony once and now its balcony all the way. lol
Oh I would loooove to go on a 14 day! Those long cruises have amazing ports! The Breeze is fantastic and I could definitely sail on her again. I know what you mean about the upgrade, we loved the Oceanview! We have a balcony booked in November so....

I know, I am scared we won't be able to go back after having a balcony! The Norwegian Breakaway is moving to NOLA and we're on the first cruise out :) So excited!!
Balconies are so nice I know you'll love it. That's cool we have never been on the Norwegian before just RCL and Princess look forward to watching your vlog and see how you like it!! On our cruise in November we are going a bit early and I have never been to Disneyland or Disneyworld so enjoying your videos on that and have learned so much. Not sure how much we will see in the short time we have but will be there for Halloween for sure.
its awesome that you guys got an upgrade I hope I get an upgrade on my next cruise, my last cruise was so stressful for me I was at sea longer than expected with my mom during Hurricane Harvey and the port of Galveston was close so dad promise me that whenever we go it will be a better experience for me, so I hope he will get me a oceanview room
Check back frequently with your PVP or travel agent! Sometimes they are offered but often you have to check for yourself. We called in and were offered the upgrade, it was great! So sorry you had a rough cruise due to Harvey!

I would recommend the behind the fun tour because you get to meet the captain and you get to meet the engineers who run the ship 🛳 HAVE FUN 👍🏻🎉

I almost forgot about the great Sail Away that were always on my past Carnival Cruises. I have not sailed with Carnival since 2007, sailing RCCL and NCL since. Neither of them have sail away parties to the scale of Carnival! Looking forward to my Breeze cruise in 2019!

Yes, try more! We have only cruised Carnival so far but are branching out this year to try Norwegian. I would love to try all of the cruise lines!

I've been on the vista and really didn't think much of it its over crowded and you miss the wow factor when you walk onto a ship! there is a line for almost everything including the bathroom from time to time and the place you go to see the comedy show was way too small for the size of the ship so lots of times you cant get in. The best part of the ship was Matt Michum the CD he was awesome as always and his crew did a awesome job

I watched the cruise before this and then I turned to watch this one. I was like "what!?!? The babies grew up in like 2 seconds!" My inner mom is coming out it goes by like a blink of an eye!

We have tried them all on Carnival. All have their own special coolness to them. We honestly prefer the Inside Cabins. Nothing beats that darkness when you want it. I'll go see the light and awesome ocean scenery on deck.
Until this cruise we had always stayed in an interior and loved it. They offered us the upgrade so we thought we would give it a try. It was really nice but I know what you mean about the darkness... I had to pin the curtains closed at night!

The Aft is the best!!! On the Getaway go for the 12th deck....but we only cruise once a year. May be prohibitive price wise if you cruise often.

Pamela, the Vista is taking the Breeze's place in Galveston and it is going to Port Canaveral. The Dream is moving to Galveston but I can't remember exactly when, it is a bit later.

I'm so stoked! I'm looking into taking a cruise on this ship next March for spring break. It's going to be a graduation celebration sort of thing with my sister and her friends, since I'll be graduating from university, and my sister and her friends from high school. We've been planning this for a few months now, and it'll be mine and my sisters 3rd cruise in 5 years, so we're hoping everything all works out!

Myenta Bartlett sorry Myenta, but I have to disagree with you. In my opinion, Royal Caribbean is better. Personally, Royal Caribbean seems to have more class and is more formal and just better. Carnival seems to be more about having fun, which is fine, but they seem to be more about the fun and less about the actual cruise I guess. Carnival seems more playful and RC seems more classy and is more fun for me than Carnival. This is just my opinion.

Lee is fantastic! I already follow him on Facebook and I saw he made a great announcement that he is getting a permanent ship, I am so happy for him! We sat down and interviewed him while on this cruise... so look out for that video :)

It’s cruise director Lee on this ship. We sailed with him on the Dream 9/2018. He is the best cruise director. The Breeze looks amazing.
I agree with a previous comment, you all seem like a family who really has fun and makes the most of your cruise. The ship doesn't look terribly crowded. Was it? We normally cruise Norwegian but you all have me wanting to try Carnival.

Great video. Why wouldn't you like an ocean view room as opposed to an interior?! I've had only one interior and really didn't like it. A balcony room is great, but if you're traveling with other people, you can't beat two bathrooms in the stateroom. I'm booked on the Breeze for the second time in March 2019 and we have a Deluxe Ocean View. I prefer balconies, but we'll see how it works out.
Just came accross your videos and I really love them! We travel as a family as well, so we booked interior for our cruise in August. How did you get your upgrade?
Hey Jen! It is booking early and then persistence. When you book on the Early Saver, you can get price adjustments if the fare gets lower so you are more likely to get upgrades. Then every time I saw Carnival had a sale, I called to check for price adjustments and ended up with an upgrade instead.

I checked often with our PVP to see if there was a price reduction as we have had luck with that in the past. The fares never went down but they offered us the Oceanview upgrade and connecting cabins 👍

Thanks Bianca!!! Jason gets Cheers and I (Alisa) do not. We have two cabins so book one adult per room so he can get it and I do not have to. It is a great value for him!

I love sail away party the best time to eat more food and enjoy the first day watching movies on the big screen tv on lido Deck at night and going to shows every night club drinking wine which I'll be doing and liquor and walking and enjoying the ship cruise is life changing experience

I got them at Dollar Tree. They have a pack of three different sizes. So I bought four packs and have six sets.
