    Thanx! We'll be setting sail on the Dream in February. Also, I've never been to Houston or Galveston before.

    Thank you for this! We haven't cruised in 7 years and we're using the same parking garage. Seeing the most up to date info and cruise tips is very helpful.

      Thanks Dave! We try to avoid shuttles when we can. This was a great spot to park just remember if you park here or any of the spots without a shuttle ,the ships may park in opposite spots when they return I realized that the hard way LOL

    I use indoor port parking they have in closed parking locked up at night. The shuttle buses take you right over to the ship. And they are there when you get off the ship I am pleased that nobody can walkthrough the parking lot and brake into my car

    What time did you hit the road? (Road trips right before a cruise are the BEST)… it, literally, is one of our favorite parts of a holiday 😀
    Never been on Horizon. Like the design style. I’d call it “glitzy craftsman”… but I’m not a smart man, so….🤪

      We left our house around 3 We got down there a little before 9 We love just road trip vacations too. It's exciting for me to just go down roads here in Louisiana that I've never been down. It's a weird sickness

    The ferry props cut up fish that's why the birds swarm the rear of the boat. Next time go stand at the rear of the boat, bring a bag of cheetos, hold a cheeto out in the air. They'll cone take it out of your hand.

      You should have received a confirmation with the QR code. We printed ours, but you can just keep it on your phone if you prefer. There is a guy at the gate who checks you in.

    How much is parking?

    • @TheTravelingGilberts
      @TheTravelingGilberts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      20 a day. there are cheaper options, but they shuttle you to and from. We like the fact that we can just walk instead of waiting for a usually crowded shuttle

    • @humpty318
      @humpty318 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s $5 cheaper than New Orleans, plus your car is probably far safer from break in than in New Orleans.

    Sorry. Never ever will I entertain the idea of cruising. Everyone I know do it on the regular. I'm a) too scared. b) Disease is not my idea of how to be on a cruise. c) One day of travelling on a large boat is enough for me. I don't see the value.
