I was just blessed, and introduced to RC Sproul. I've learned more in the last month then I had in 43 yrs. I have come to know God like I never have before. I am thirsty for his word and his truth... Thank you God for such a gift as RC Sproul..

My, my, my!!! R.C. Sproul was a fantastic preacher/teacher and by the enablement of God the Holy Spirit he was right on! So glad I can hear him preach, although he is now living in the presence of Jesus Christ!!!❤❤❤☺

Surely deep. Simple only if you’re paying attention. I had a hard time picking up what he was laying down, I didn’t disagree, just wasn’t getting hold of what he was teaching. So I prayed asking Our Holy Spirit for understanding. Now RC “is” one of my favorite teachers. It would be a pleasure to meet him some bright morning.
Even on holidays I guarantee This man went aside to study read prayed , and preached. This was his food and given to us. A prepared man of God for us to learn some of the really hard things.

As far as spiritually, it has some weight, but when people start looking at physical serpent seed ideologies that's when they fall away from God's Word. Predestination you are spot on with. The cross, Pharoh, as well as all other things are clearly pedestined by God, whether we like the idea or not. With a better understanding of it, I have actually come to be glad that things are not dependent on my will alone, as I had previously believed. Re: The Church. I shall describe what is written in God's Word about the One True Church; Gr. Ekklesia - the called out ones. (a body of PEOPLE - not a RELIGION) The universal church is composed of all born again, Holy Spirit filled believers from Pentecost until the Rapture. It is a Church that belongs to the Messiah. Jesus said Matt. 16:18 "upon this rock I WILL build MY Church". (Future tense). The commencement of the building of the Church was still future in Matt. 16:18 because the Resurrection and the Ascension of Jesus had not yet happened. The Holy Spirit was poured out upon the believers in Jerusalem in Acts Chapter 2 and this is the commencement of the BUILDING of the Church, the Body of Christ, Eph. 1:22, 23 (which is still continuing today as Jesus is adding new spiritually regenerated believers daily around the world to His Church). Jesus is the HEAD of HIS Church - "And He is the Head of the body, the Church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence" Col 1:18. The CHURCH is HIS Body "...and appointed Him to be Head over everything for the Church which is HIS Body ..." Eph.1:22,23. "The Body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the Body, though they are many, form one Body" 1 Cor.12:12. The true Church of Jesus Christ is a living organism - it is not a lifeless, man-made organisation - a religion. Peter tells us in 1 Peter 2:4,5 "As you come to Him, the LIVING STONE - rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to Him - you also like LIVING STONES are being built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, offering up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ". "you are fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God and are laid upon the FOUNDATION of the Apostles and the Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the CHIEF CORNERSTONE". Eph. 2:19,20. Jesus is preparing His Church to be His Bride, with the washing of water by the Word. Eph. 5:25 - 27. The Holy Spirit of Truth is our Helper, Teacher and Counsellor. He guides us into all truth. John 14:16,17, 1 Jn. 2:27 We need to remember that Jesus was a Jew, the Apostles were all Jews, the NT church was in Jerusalem and the first believers were all Jews, the Oracles of God were given to the Jews Rom. 2:2. Jesus said that He was sent to the lost sheep of the House of Israel Matt.15:24. We, the Gentile Church have been grafted in to the Jewish Olive tree because of Israel's fall (Read Rom. 11) but we are not to boast vs 18. The Scriptures were all written amidst a Jewish culture and we need to see them through the Jewish frame of reference. Unfortunately anti-Semitism has taken its toll on the Church causing those with a Hellenistic viewpoint to rise up and attempt to take control. By AD 161 the Christians were becoming exceedingly unpopular; they were blamed for causing natural disasters by refusing to worship the Roman Emperor and the deities that protected communities. In AD 313 the Roman Emperor Constantine, motivated by political reasons, made Christianity the official state religion of the Roman Empire, freeing it from Roman persecution. Thus the church was married to the state. People all over the Roman Empire were baptised into the church even if they had no personal faith. As a result, massive amounts of pagans entered the church bringing many of their pagan practices with them. Idolatry entered the church as these people added Jesus to the many other gods they already had. Thus were planted the seeds for what later developed into the R. Catholic organisation. A priestly order was set up in the church that further corrupted and laid the foundation for what was to follow. The Roman bishop eventually rose to supremacy and a form of ecclesiastical government with a "pontifex maximus" (pope) was established. A transition had occurred - instead of being persecuted for failure to worship pagan deities, Christians who did not agree with the particular orthodoxy backed by the Emperor were now persecuted in the name of "Christ"! "Christianized" Rome had become the legitimate successor of pagan Rome! This is the sad origin of the Roman Catholic "Church". The true Church, of which Jesus is the Head and the born again (spiritually regenerated) believers are the Body, Eph 1: 22,23 & 1 Peter 2:5, was eventually driven underground until after the Reformation. As you can see, the (R) Catholic religious organisation of today bears no resemblance to the True Church described in God's Word, which began in Acts 2, and which Jesus is still building today with each newly saved "living stone".
This is why I love RC Sproul. He is able through God the father to speak the truth. I surely miss him and his preaching. But I thank God for his ministry

Astounding - “We have met the enemy - ourselves. God’s wrath is upon us. The Tribunal of God - Exchanging the Truth of God for lie. Our basic sinful nature this. Our minds depraved not wanting to hear the Truth. I hate Him because I hate Truth”. So 7 years later here we are where Truth is a lie and a lie is the Truth. God’s Battle we are in Good and Evil - It is Spiritual. Our existence is at hand. We are under Judgement - not just them - us too. I hear The word of God is the only Truth. You cannot say what everyone wants to hear - It is ONLY THE TRUTH OF GOD. SPROUL MAKES ME UNDERSTAND THIS AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HIM FOR THE TELLING ME THE TRUTH ABOUT MYSELF. I have to change my thinking and I have and I will. Amen
I wish I could talk to R.C. Sproul. He was such a great teacher, and I have questions that I would like to hear his answers to. I will continue to listen to his sermons, and I will, most likely, find his answers.
Please pray for my family also. We have one child who claims to be saved but by no means is walking with God. The love and the burden God put upon us as true Christians parents is to watch one of our children struggle daily. Please remember my daughter Jessica in your prayers. Well you both should know, I was one of those children.. , just trust in God. I had to go through alot... Because of my stubborn hearted choices, pride, and selfishness.. I would hear warnings from others and my mother And still walked directly into the Wall anyway. BUT God is faithful and once I had enough... I cried out to God, Our Lord Jesus Christ. He has so moved every aspect of my life, my heart and actions. I study the bible every day out of love... DONT FEAR, TRUST IN THE LORD. do not worry for all things work for the good of those who love him. It will be fine, Pray. Don't worry and just love them, use the bible to reprove, and to edify. Do not fear, Trust God and his ways. It takes awhile sometimes.. yet remember,... "IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR THE LORD" trust him. I Will pray for you all... I love you both 💖
I’ve been listening to R.C’s sermons for a few years now. Haven’t heard this message. Even though He has gone unto be with Our Lord, I still cling onto every word He speaks. All Glory to God!
I miss R. C. but I am so thankful that we can access so many of his sermons and teaching. What a great man of God! I look forward to meeting him when I get to the other side. But I imagine I'm going to have a long wait due to a very long line, . :)
ESV Has been my main version since I was able to buy one. The old NIV was the Bible my church used. I used it for a time but preferred the KJV until the ESV was published. Thankful for the ministry of truthful ministers as Sproul.
Wonderful message. The Word of God tells us to be not deceived by no man. The Hply Ghost of God is given to us to lead and guide us awalys in Godlly and righteous living. We must say what the Holy Word says are we too could be deceive. Remember how the land was taken from the Isralites , by moving the landmarks just a little bit at a time. Wacht and prayand trust in the Lord with all of our hearts.
As Dr. Sproul has preached here, our old self always wage war against the Word of God, though wa are born from above. The old Adam never submit to the Word of God rather it fights against the Word. It's only walking through the Holy Spirit we can conquer the hatred nature of opposing the Word of God. Thanks be to God that He gave to His Church a man like RC Sproul.

Been basically anything but a KJV or NIV guy in recent months. I’m mostly ESV, NLT (for casual reading), I was given an NKJV, and I’m interested in picking up an NASB version
@Della Hilburn *hugs* Two verses God has put on my heart to share with you are Whoever confesses his sin and renounces them will find mercy, but he who hardens his heart will come to ruin...and.. God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. I have been there, my sister. At one time or another alienated from each of my five children. I took all the blame, whether I actually deserved it or not. The devil is he who condemns, please do not listen to him. He is the father of lies. God answers prayer :) And now my relationship with my children is stronger and better than it ever was. It didn't happen overnight. We all had a lot changing and growing to do, but God is faithful and all of these things happen for a reason. Your son is also in Gods hands. Even believing mothers often tend to have a hard time truly accepting this and giving it all up to God. The first step is admitting that you have a problem .Keep going on the narrow path and don't lose heart, because even when you feel you can not go on any further the Lord Jesus will carry you.
The "Lord´s Recovery" or "Local Church" teaches that their founder, Witness Lee, is the continuation of Martin Luther. They exclusively promote Lee, saying he was God´s unique appointed minister of the age. They claim Witness Lee interpreted the whole Bible accurately and apart from him and his ministry you cannot really understand the Bible. They even say it's dangerous to read the Word of God directly because you will misunderstand it, so you need a qualified teacher´s interpretation, who is only Witness Lee and his ministry.
So when God says " If you take away from the words of this Book I will take away your share from the Tree of Life.." Do those people who were publishing that book think The LORD was lying??!! Was being PC worth going to HELL for??!!... Oh heck NO!!

Wow - I'd heard about the dodgy revision of the NIV but had the impression that this was a relatively new development, unless the mistranslators spent a long time and have made plenty of rope for themselves, so to speak.
Well this sermon was more than 20 years ago and the church at large still hasn't identified the enemy of Yahweh and Christians. It's not us who like Paul has to die daily but the true enemy are the people who deny that Jesus came as was God with us . This race is the true enemy. When will We wake up to the truth!!!
The Bible preachers, I observe, can and seem to be in a different turf from that one in the Catholic church. They like to talk about the moral teachings from the behavior and events of the characters in the Bible. Here, In this talk , it is about Jehosaphat of Juda and Ahab of Israel; the main prophet is Micah , Sephonia is the other one. The place in contention is Syria. Era: maybe sometime in 200 B.C. (?); or else I might be wrong.
The title Sproul gave may have been the Dutch title, not an English title. It may have been The Scourge of the Swatiska or Europe Under the Nazi Scourage...
Id only read an NIV if it were the last Bible on earth. But that's my opinion. Been reading the same exact KJV Bible since it was gifted to me in 2002. Its absolutely falling apart, but i understand it and have been led to much deep revelations through it and the Holy Spirit (written in the margins by me for my children to find in time if the book survives).
The Basics:. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (NOW!) and thou shalt be saved." Rejecters will not be. Why wouldn't the myriads of similar verses not say "those chosen to believe at creation will be saved"? Because it would be an accursed predestined different gospel! Those that do believe are predestined to be conformed to Christ's image. Believe and trust the Bible, not men

The usual tempest in a teapot. when will people learn to think for themselves without relying on such teachers who confuse as often as they enlighten. We need to know the scriptures which are simple in their message of salvation and holiness. The NIV and all other reputable versions (including the tNIV) are more effective in expressing the originally intended message of the word of God than an archaic and antiquated KJV which most people nowadays can read only with hesitation and difficulty. No wonder, then, that they turn to teachers to tell them what they should be able to know from simply reading the scriptures. Read the New Testament, also the Old, and know it well and then read it and read it again and live it. The scriptures are plain and simple; you do not need to listen to those who add to it to make it say what it does not mean. No wonder we have such confusion and nonsense accepted today about the end times, and such. Follow the word of God and learn it well, rather than the teachings of men pretending to be great scholars.
Please enlighten us. You put forth quite a lengthy treatment with no particular assertion, substantiation or qualification. You've not advanced any understanding which is the whole point of communication- therefore you communicated nothing. Why?

Eph. 2:19,20. Jesus is preparing His Church to be His Bride, with the washing of water by the Word. Eph. 5:25 - 27. The Holy Spirit of Truth is our Helper, Teacher and Counsellor. He guides us into all truth. John 14:16,17, 1 Jn. 2:27
We need to remember that Jesus was a Jew, the Apostles were all Jews, the NT church was in Jerusalem and the first believers were all Jews, the Oracles of God were given to the Jews Rom. 2:2. Jesus said that He was sent to the lost sheep of the House of Israel Matt.15:24. We, the Gentile Church have been grafted in to the Jewish Olive tree because of Israel's fall (Read Rom. 11) but we are not to boast vs 18. The Scriptures were all written amidst a Jewish culture and we need to see them through the Jewish frame of reference. Unfortunately anti-Semitism has taken its toll on the Church causing those with a Hellenistic viewpoint to rise up and attempt to take control.
By AD 161 the Christians were becoming exceedingly unpopular; they were blamed for causing natural disasters by refusing to worship the Roman Emperor and the deities that protected communities.
In AD 313 the Roman Emperor Constantine, motivated by political reasons, made Christianity the official state religion of the Roman Empire, freeing it from Roman persecution. Thus the church was married to the state. People all over the Roman Empire were baptised into the church even if they had no personal faith. As a result, massive amounts of pagans entered the church bringing many of their pagan practices with them. Idolatry entered the church as these people added Jesus to the many other gods they already had. Thus were planted the seeds for what later developed into the R. Catholic organisation. A priestly order was set up in the church that further corrupted and laid the foundation for what was to follow. The Roman bishop eventually rose to supremacy and a form of ecclesiastical government with a "pontifex maximus" (pope) was established.
A transition had occurred - instead of being persecuted for failure to worship pagan deities, Christians who did not agree with the particular orthodoxy backed by the Emperor were now persecuted in the name of "Christ"! "Christianized" Rome had become the legitimate successor of pagan Rome! This is the sad origin of the Roman Catholic "Church".
The true Church, of which Jesus is the Head and the born again (spiritually regenerated) believers are the Body, Eph 1: 22,23 & 1 Peter 2:5, was eventually driven underground until after the Reformation.
As you can see, the (R) Catholic religious organisation of today bears no resemblance to the True Church described in God's Word, which began in Acts 2, and which Jesus is still building today with each newly saved "living stone".

Well you both should know, I was one of those children.. , just trust in God. I had to go through alot... Because of my stubborn hearted choices, pride, and selfishness.. I would hear warnings from others and my mother And still walked directly into the Wall anyway. BUT God is faithful and once I had enough... I cried out to God, Our Lord Jesus Christ. He has so moved every aspect of my life, my heart and actions. I study the bible every day out of love... DONT FEAR, TRUST IN THE LORD. do not worry for all things work for the good of those who love him. It will be fine, Pray. Don't worry and just love them, use the bible to reprove, and to edify. Do not fear, Trust God and his ways. It takes awhile sometimes.. yet remember,... "IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR THE LORD" trust him.

ESV Has been my main version since I was able to buy one. The old NIV was the Bible my church used. I used it for a time but preferred the KJV until the ESV was published.

Wonderful message. The Word of God tells us to be not deceived by no man. The Hply Ghost of God is given to us to lead and guide us awalys in Godlly and righteous living. We must say what the Holy Word says are we too could be deceive. Remember how the land was taken from the Isralites , by moving the landmarks just a little bit at a time. Wacht and prayand trust in the Lord with all of our hearts.
As Dr. Sproul has preached here, our old self always wage war against the Word of God, though wa are born from above. The old Adam never submit to the Word of God rather it fights against the Word. It's only walking through the Holy Spirit we can conquer the hatred nature of opposing the Word of God. Thanks be to God that He gave to His Church a man like RC Sproul.
@hirendrakumar, RC Sproul is a genius and a great teacher of the scriptures, However it was not revealed to him what Jesus revealed in the parable of Wheat and Tares that there are only two kinds of people in the world, the children of God and the children of the devil.. All the children of God are predestined to be saved and all the children of the devil are predestined to be burned in fire.. From this revealation of Jesus, we can conclude that not all people are as evil as Ahab or Dyesebel or as Judas Iscariot, but only those who are children of the devil... Adam and his descendants are the children of God literally because Adam is not only a created being but he is also a true son of God as revealed by Luke in Luke 3:38...
Cain and his descendants are children of the devil because Cain is the seed of the serpent(devil) as mentioned in Genesis 3:15...

God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. I have been there, my sister. At one time or another alienated from each of my five children. I took all the blame, whether I actually deserved it or not. The devil is he who condemns, please do not listen to him. He is the father of lies. God answers prayer :) And now my relationship with my children is stronger and better than it ever was. It didn't happen overnight. We all had a lot changing and growing to do, but God is faithful and all of these things happen for a reason. Your son is also in Gods hands. Even believing mothers often tend to have a hard time truly accepting this and giving it all up to God. The first step is admitting that you have a problem .Keep going on the narrow path and don't lose heart, because even when you feel you can not go on any further the Lord Jesus will carry you.

The "Lord´s Recovery" or "Local Church" teaches that their founder, Witness Lee, is the continuation of Martin Luther. They exclusively promote Lee, saying he was God´s unique appointed minister of the age. They claim Witness Lee interpreted the whole Bible accurately and apart from him and his ministry you cannot really understand the Bible. They even say it's dangerous to read the Word of God directly because you will misunderstand it, so you need a qualified teacher´s interpretation, who is only Witness Lee and his ministry.
I hope people have read their gospels cause Jesus even says to beware of that exact behavior.
The disciples said that when the spirt of God lives in a person , that person will be guided into truth by it.
Always beware of those groups who claim to have the “secret key to truth”. The Ancient Greek mystery religions were such.
So when God says " If you take away from the words of this Book I will take away your share from the Tree of Life.." Do those people who were publishing that book think The LORD was lying??!! Was being PC worth going to HELL for??!!... Oh heck NO!!

Id only read an NIV if it were the last Bible on earth. But that's my opinion. Been reading the same exact KJV Bible since it was gifted to me in 2002. Its absolutely falling apart, but i understand it and have been led to much deep revelations through it and the Holy Spirit (written in the margins by me for my children to find in time if the book survives).

The usual tempest in a teapot. when will people learn to think for themselves without relying on such teachers who confuse as often as they enlighten. We need to know the scriptures which are simple in their message of salvation and holiness. The NIV and all other reputable versions (including the tNIV) are more effective in expressing the originally intended message of the word of God than an archaic and antiquated KJV which most people nowadays can read only with hesitation and difficulty. No wonder, then, that they turn to teachers to tell them what they should be able to know from simply reading the scriptures. Read the New Testament, also the Old, and know it well and then read it and read it again and live it. The scriptures are plain and simple; you do not need to listen to those who add to it to make it say what it does not mean. No wonder we have such confusion and nonsense accepted today about the end times, and such. Follow the word of God and learn it well, rather than the teachings of men pretending to be great scholars.
