This is brilliant - there's no other word for it. I am just going to listen to it all over again because I can't take it all in - in one session. Help me Lord to get this down into my spirit so that I can be more effectual when explaining our Christian faith and the reason for the hope that is within me to the world out there. I find Christians are hungry for good spiritual food and God the Holy Spirit can lead us to the one who needs to be born again. Help all of us Christians to be effectual apologists. What a pity R.C. is no longer in this world.
Nobody else even comes close to R.C. Sproul in terms of teaching Christian theology, it's just staggering how thoroughly and deeply he illuminates everything!
MacArthur also. If we are speaking of contemporary theologians. But you are very right Sproul is an amazing teacher of vast importance in theology

I respect this. I don’t agree with everything that sproul, piper, washer, and MacArthur teach, but I respect them and I don’t think it gets much better than them as teachers.

Wow. That is wonderful. Although we English speaking ppl should bring all messages to you in your native language, I applaud you. I watch Mt Zion Int'l Films (wonderful Christian movies on TH-cam) and some are in Yoruba w/English subtitles. I am grateful because I know there are so many languages in just Nigeria! I pray USA can expand to bring more Good & Godly preaching to you. But still...I am so blessed you learned English to hear good messages. God bless you. I pray Victor, God does great exploits to lead many to Him. Redeem the time, the days are evil. Youth is the time to learn the Word and sow seed or water seeds others have sown and pray to the Lord of the harvest to bring them in. The fields are white. The Lord encourages youths to work for Him "while it is light" as night is coming when no man can work. That is a Scripture. It can be taken to say that while you are young you have a healthy body and are fired up for Jesus. But at my age, although I am only 52, I am surely not a youth anymore. In fact, I just watched my son graduate from high school. I love the Lord deeply, yet I am quite ill with chronic diseases and cancer. So you see, please.. serve God now. When you read in His Word "Today is the day of salvation," it applies to those of us who are saved and it is a Scripture to lead you out to bring in others to our sheep fold. Today! Now! Redeem your time. Watch and pray. I pray for you that you will stand firm until the end...of your life or until Christ returns. Be ready! Seek to bring your friends, family strangers...like the wedding banquet where He told his attendants to invite certain ppl...but they all had silly excuses. So then he had then go out and invite prostitutes, homeless, tax collectors, etc. But one was in the banquet without wedding attire. (I think this was a person who may have said a prayer or raised his hand at a point, but never really repented or made amends or fell away...and he was thrown out...into hell.) Ugh. I dont wish that for anyone, and some ppl have really hurt me but no way would I not want to share the good news with them. By your testimony, I believe you are very special. If you put in that effort to speak English, wow, truly, God will honor that. It is our faith, a gift of God, that pleases Him. But your good works, of learning English to learn more about Him and Jesus, He has noted. I will pray for you. Please listen to ppl like R.C., Steve Lawson, Voddie Bachum, John McArthur - who will send you a free hard backed study Bible w/his on commentary...he & R.C. agreed on everything except baptizing babies. But it is not a major doctrinal issues and they were best friends. Paul Washer, Justin Peters. If you like R.C., you must be reformed. If I can help direct you to anyone else, respond back. There was a time when Christians were ready to die for God. Whether it be death by hanging, stoning, hung on a cross, beheaded, by torture. 😀 This still goes on today mainly in the middle east, china, europe and india. To commit one's life to God to the point of death to glorify God is complete peace, nothing else matters but God and obeying God. For he is worthy of the worship and praise!!!

Consequences of Ideas is a great book by RC. I went through the book and am going through his teaching series in on the same subject. Good overview about different schools of thought over the ages!

@29:40 "Can a person who has never heard of the resurrection be saved?" What if that person dies before they hear of the resurrection? Did they then go to Heaven or Hell not being tested on the resurrection doctrine question? What if they had lived and would have rejected the resurrection? Did their ignorance of that doctrine then preserve their soul? How far can we take this sort of argument? What if someone only heard that there is all powerful all knowing all Present Sovereign God? & embraces the doctrine? What if someone heard about the ascent ion of Jesus never having heard any other doctrine? What if they only heard the name of Jesus as God Man and called upon that Name for salvation? Then we get into the question what then about those that have never heard even a small part of the gospel? If God knows the would have believed if they had heard but never got the message of what to hear or if God knows what they would have rejected and accepted? @30:15 Robert Charles Sproul uses the term STATE OF GRACE. Yet when discussing the STANDING of the believer Sproul embraces the idea that Grace is not a state but rather an ETERNAL IMMUTABLE FORENSIC STANDING. He claims that we are kept saved not by some righteous state of GRACE but rather by our eternal standing. That our RIGHTEOUSNESS is IMPUTED or rather credited to our eternal bank account not INFUSED. That there is no target for salvation in us because in US there dwells nothing good that God can use as a target to draw His favor on to us. If at some time in the past we had believed into Christ without attempting to point to our works as securing our legal right to salvation but only rested our case in the doctrine of the Person and/or? work of Jesus Christ then our eternal legal STANDING is forever changed without regard to the STATE we are in because our STATE of being is never salvific always sinning and falling short of the glory of God. Our glory is Jesus Christ who is our eternal salvation then. We actually need to possess a legal right that the lost does not have regardless of our STATE. A wealthy man may have the right to vast treasure locked up for him in an inheritance or in the bank yet walk the streets like a pauper in tattered clothes. The deed to our wealth is somewhere else regardless if we have claimed any of it. So therefore there is a problem with Robert Charles' over all reasoning. Are we saved by keeping our faith or are we saved by a standing which is apart from our state without regard to the works we do good or evil or anything in between? If our works have anything to do with our faith then is it not written that our works will be tested but our faith has secured us whether fire devours our works or purifies them?
Maybe a good way to look at it is how some children are adopted as infants or toddlers, not asked to consent or agree with the idea, just given to the adopting parents regardless of their understanding of what's going on or of their will, happiness about it, etc. Other children, older, are offered the choice of being adopted by parents to whom they are introduced, spend time with getting to know, everything is explained to them and their adoption hinges on whether they assent to it. The difference can be analogous to salvation prior to/without knowledge of the gospel, Christ's coming, etc, and salvation after. Both situations can be seen as predestined(with human "free will" as merely imagined by the people involved), and both situations can also be deemed as taking place regardless of any favor being deserved by the children. Christ was given as ransom for the bride He was promised by His Father. Some arranged marriages and adoptions involve consent, some do not.

The Basics:. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." Rejecters will not be. Why wouldn't the myriads of similar verses not say "those chosen to believe at creation will be saved"? Because it would be an acçursed predestined different gospel! Those that do believe are predestined to be conformed to Christ's image. Believe and trust the Bible, not men.
Its good to read the Present with Religon, a book for free on the internet.The book is about the truth of life and it shows the full picture of life for the first time so that you may stop being deceived by the world and be able to follow the steps of Jesus and other prophets to Heaven.Knowing the truth is the key factor in our salvation.We must know the truth and live in it and change ourselves according to it in in order to be saved.There is no other way to our salvation.With the knowledge of the truth thwre comes true repentance which means changing our minds and alao true obediance to God' s law and finally our sanctification which is a lifelonf process.And God in His mercy will give us His wonderful grace which is the time and ability to make the proper change.Only in thia way will we be able to attain our eternal salvation.Our task is to find this narrow gate that leads to God and do it quickly and stay on it till the end no matter what.Then and only then we will be saved.There is nothing more important or serious to do in this fallen world as our eternal fate depends on it.

The Bible talks about “clouds” going up and down with people going in and out. Clouds do not make those movements described in the Bible but spaceships do. Jesus ascended in a “cloud” (Acts 1:9). God rides in a “cloud” (Isaiah 19:1, Psalm 104:3). Jesus will come back “with” the “clouds” (Mat 26:64, Rev 1:7). Jesus will come back commanding a fleet of starships. The church will be raptured “in” the “clouds” (I Thess. 4:17). Spaceships will be used to rapture the church. The ancient did not have vocabulary or knowledge to understand what they saw so they called the flying objects “clouds”, “chariots”, and “pillars”, because was the words they had to describe something flying in the sky. The Bible even tells in Psalm 68:17 how many spaceships are in the fleet “The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands” (about 20,000). There is a good research done by Patrick Cooke called “The Great Deception - The Bible UFO Connection” which has the original words describing spaceships. It is all over the Bible. Jesus is real. He is the savior of the world but He is not seating in a puffy cloud. He is commanding a powerful army, which will take control of our planet. To understand the Bible you need to understand that the ancient described something but named with words they knew at the time. The star of Belem was a starship not a star, Jonah's whale was a starship with underwater capability. Think the Bible with the knowledge we have today and not a fictitious book. Do a search on the paint " The Baptism of Christ " by Aert de Gelder. He had access to secret achieves at the Vatican in 1710. He painted what he saw on the achieves.

By claiming them to be 'spaceships' (the 'technology' we can grasp today) aren't you suffering from the same problem the 'ancient' did by your own analogy? Might it be anti-gravity quantum charged water particles and not mechanical spaceships? We don't know 'how' God does what he does, but that is far less important than its implications, that He is our Sovereign Creator (not an alien species invading earth in spaceships) and has revealed Himself to us through the work of His creation and His 'special revelation' throughout history, preserved in the Holy Scriptures and confirmed by the witness of the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Truth) to those whom are called into His name, just as Jesus said to Nicodemus and Paul describes in Romans 8 and the Bible reiterates in so many other places. Take note of Romans 1, 2 & 3 (read all of Romans!), 2 Timothy 4:1-8, 1 Peter 4. Do not be deceived. The best way to recognize falsehood is to know the truth. Be a Berean, examine the scriptures daily (Acts 17:11), join a Bible based sound doctrine church, repent and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ, for He is seated at the right hand of God and He is the annointed one, our judge and savior, and our only hope in being restored to God. (Matthew 22). And that is Good News, to those who believe, being called into His presence.
