My 4 and 8 year old boys love lasagna or anything with pasta. I hide my veggies in there. I love chicken/Salmon with roast potatoes and veg

Some of my go to meals are spaghetti, bbq chicken breast & roasted veggies, chili w/corn bread & fruit, chicken noodle soup & potato soup. Any time there's roast; sandwiches are made from it the 2nd time around.

My family's favorite InstaPot meal is chicken Verde.
      4 frozen chicken breasts
      1 tsp of paprika
      1 tsp of cumin
      1 jar of salsa Verde
Set the Pot on Poultry on high for 26 minutes, shred, and serve over beans and rice. My hubby likes me to add "fajita" veggies (peppers and onions).

We also like to do shredded chicken quesadillas... & we mix up a big batch of shredded chicken & a big can of green enchilada sauce & mix it together & put into crescent rolls & bake.... very kid friendly....
Oh & chili cheese tater tots casserole

The jar of peppers&veggies in oils is pronounced like Jar -Den-Near. It can also be put on an Italian Sub or served on an antipasto tray.

If you add your garlic when the onion is almost done and then the tomato paste and saute for a minute or so, it removes the raw taste of both the garlic and tomato paste ❤ Going to make some sauce for dinner tomorrow to have over gnocchi so thank you for the inspiration 😀

Good morning Kimmy from our farm in Central Lakes ⛵⛵ New Hampshire! I teach sustainability workshops when I have the time. So encouraged by your videos, showing how to stock a pantry from a meal planning list. We have relied heavily on my pantry since March 2020 for our two farm properties. Not only are we a fair distance from any grocery store , but we also shut the farm down during the pandemic.
Having multiple freezers and shelf space dedicated to dry and canned goods has been a lifesaver for time and budget. I had to give up my part time job in 2020. That money was used for groceries. Kimmy, you are a study in Materials Management. I retired from high tech and learned the min/max concept that works so well for the home.
So kind of you to help a friend. We do the same. We don't have cash, but I can make up food gift baskets and delivered firewood and hay. So many of our neighbors were down with flu and other viruses. They needed a hot meal delivered and sometimes barn work. We raise grass fed beef and asked for help last fall to get the cattle into the barn for the winter. All the best! ~ Diane

Those basil plants can be put into your outdoor garden once all danger of frost is gone! I have successfully grown HUGE plants from grocery store basil plants! I use banana pepper rings all the time in both chicken and beef Mississippi roasts, and trust me it turns out super yummy using those too! Just in case you ever need to use a jar in a pinch! 😉 My family go to's are lazy lasagna, homemade pizza's, both chicken and beef enchiladas, taco seasoned meat (we use ground beef, chicken or turkey depending on our mood, lol), a fun dish called Bang Bang chicken (or shrimp), numerous kinds of soups that freeze well!

When making the Stuffed shells, you don't need to boil them first. Just stuff them. The sauce and the steam from baking will cook them. Same thing with lasagna. Just use regular lasagna noodles ( no need for the no- boil ones). I add a little extra water to my sauce so the noodles can absorb some of the liquid. Thanks for sharing your recipes...and time... with us.

    Smothered pork chops. Yumm
Lightly coat chops in flour and flash fry in a bit of oil to brown..not cook completely..just brown. Peel russet potatoes and slice thin like scalloped potatoes. Slice an onion into thin rings.
Mix a can of cream of mushroom soup with some canned evaporated milk.
Pour some of the soup mixture into a casserole dish and layer the potatoes and then pork chops and layer again with potatoes and chops..salt and pepper as you go..pour remaining soup mixture over it and top with sliced onions. Bake at 350 degrees covered with casserole lid or foil for 45 minutes or until bubbly and brown around edges and potatoes are fork tender. Also a good slow cooker meal.
    Add a salad and enjoy!

I made a container of yoghurt yesterday and will continue to do so, for the cost of a 1 litre of milk each week yey. Next is making cottage cheese. Made hummus often. I bought an alfalfa farm box from the hardware store. Have seeds too.

Like you, I mostly use dry herbs but I was told only to use fresh herbs at the end of cooking, as they lose their flavour during cooking. Dried herbs during fresh at the end or as a garnish, but each to his own

My mom makes an amazing gravy too. I tried your recipe with the pork. I told my mom about it. It really is delicious. I also wanted to say that hearing you mix the Lazy man Lasagna is my favorite sound. Makes my mouth water. lol. I'm making that for Easter.

Have you thought of using a cookie scoop to make your meatballs, it keeps them a uniform size and then they cook at the same rate.?
Also, did you know that scraping your knife blades on your cutting boards dulls the sharp edge and can even give your blades microscopic Knicks in the blade, instead turn the blade over and use the back of the knife to scrape the food off your cutting board, it's thicker and it won't hurt the blade that way.
Your meals looked so yummy and you are the sweetest for helping a friend in that way.

I love making meatloaf and Lipton onion burgers and freezing them (raw) so easy to cook & eat. I’m also working on a recipe for fried rice mix for the freezer too. I don’t like thinking of meals every day so if they are shopped from the freezer it’s so much easier.

my husband and I grind our own Italian sausage. using the grinder attachment for my kitchenaid mixer and prk butt on sale for 99 cents to 1.49 lb. you can buy casings locally or on Amazon. pork fat available at local butcher very reasonably....or you can do just bulk. sweet or hot, recipes are everywhere.
great price point, fun time and you know exactly what's in your sausage....

Great video! I will be trying some of these for sure! Thank you. One minor thing,I wouldn’t be a Philly girl if I let this pass. A hoagie is a cold sandwich filled with meat/cheese etc. A hoagie roll is almost always used for a cheesesteak, but a cheesesteak is not a hoagie. Philadelphia has the most delicious hoagies and hoagie rolls, but a roll is not a hoagie. We would call it a hoagie roll,or just a roll!

Just an idea...one way to get rid of the acid and also sweeten the sauce is to add whole carrots which can be removed after cooking. The carrots absorbed the acid while sweetening the sauce at the same time.
