I just broke into cybersecurity sales. I have no degree or experience. But I do have nearly a decade of sales experience. It took me almost 2 years to break into tech/IT (wish I would’ve found you sooner). I will be joining your community to help me advance in the industry quicker
Sometimes the $75,000 is okay, if it’s base. If you’re a kick A__ SDR, you also can factor in commission which is an extra $20,000 to $40,000 If you’re that good at being an SDR (in a decent to good territory with a good product), the extra money is like smooth passive income 💰
Hi I’m new to your channel. Love the content. I’ve been in finance and accounting for 7 years. I have some sales experience. Does my experience translate over well into this field? I’m used to making 70k-75k a year. Is that still possible coming in as entry level?
@@anthonydixon2404 definitely, we've had several former finance and accounting professionals make the change. You could probably start higher than 75 with your background
Hey Eric, my experience is 6 years as a retail sales manager and representative at Best Buy and AT&T. Im also enrolled in Course Careers bootcamp. Getting my resume ready to start applying at the new year. Retail seems to get a bad rap, do I have a fair chance to get hired compared to college grads? Thanks
@@techsales-higherlevels I have applied to some no interviews, I wanted to finish the course and add it to my resume, not many companies seem to be hiring during the holidays, my approach was to get ready and prepared to apply at the new hiring cycle in January
I’m an SAP technology consultant and I want to break into a remote SDR role I have attended several trainings but mostly all the jobs I got were 100% commission based. Is that the norm for these positions as a junior SDR with no prior experience?
@@techsales-higherlevels I applied for this job via indeed it’s a U.S. based company called Corporate Solutions they provide so many services in the IT and healthcare fields. They told me because I’m a non U.S. citizen I have to work with them on this basis.
Just subbed man, loving all your content. Currently a Junior in college and cold calling for a digital marketing agency, as well as a few businesses I’m running on the side. Wanting to get an SDR role while I finish out my degree.

No, commission only are usually not good jobs. Where are you applying?

You're well on your way my man! Let me know if you have any questions in the future
Great Content. Can I break into Tech Sales from Nigeria via remote
Typically US companies hire folks based in the US or Canada. Are there remote opportunities in your region?
Loved it!
But what is the future of an SDR? like Can AI take jobs by 2030
The role will change with new tools available but it won't be replaced entirely
