Interesting. I always head for Edge 4 and hit the big metal shell at about 46/44 (or 44/46, I forget which), where the blue zone main path comes up. You have green and blue zone available by ground, and you can step off the edge and fall into Red zone. With a great glide, you can make it all the way to the element cave in one.
i absolutely love aberration because of how beautiful it is and cant wait for the asa version

@@kirstenwyatt9675personal opinion...the center was always boring. ASA Center was just an upgraded version of a fundamentally dull map.
Teach just out here casually giving away the most popular location on Abberation. Honestly Goodluck getting here b4 someone else. Side note: Don't get too close to the waterfall, I've seen a Megalo spawn by the gas vent.
These are exactly the kind of videos I've been waiting for. Its good to get some ideas on how to build fast for when aberration comes out. Thanks Teach.
I own both ase 3k hours n asa 240 hours into both. The maps are better but everything's pretty much where you think it's at just looks better. My favorite center cave now has a pool and I love that added so much more to my old base defence
For folks playing on clusters with open transfers, this location has 2 nearby green/blue crates that commonly spawn. If that hasnt changed for ASA, then its a great place to transfer out of the map.
You may have to take into consideration that ASA terrain may be modelled diferently from ASE. Hopefully it won't change much and the dino spawns may stay the same.

In regards to the mushroom effect. While it plays the drowning sfx, you are actually suffocating. Most likely because you are so high you forget to breathe.
Happened to be my first base location after initiall release of aberration in 2017! Didnt realize it at the time but good spot 👍

The robot will imprint on the creatures. AMD's implementation gave a nice upgrade to the grip on the map. We will have new mushrooms and new recipes. The Airship and robot will be weightless.
I like the other side of the blue. Yeah, you need a couple light pets, but if you get a few of them, you are deep in the blue right by the rock drake cave. With tons of kark (alphas for leveling) in the river and plenty of megalosuars, easy angler and cindaria hunting in the river. It's harder but worth the struggle once you are established down there.

I actually built on that big flat area with the plant species like 3 years ago and absolutely loved it will be building there again up the hill a little bit is also a surface entrance for quick access when it turns dark and has tons of metal in the entrance to the surface as well

Abb is easy, the really hard thing is finding a drop when u want to transfer out of the map 😶
For new players its design is harder….. for skilled players its a playground.

Another good thing would be taming a Deinosuchus instead of a Spino if its too hard, because Deinos are far stronger and most creatures (i think even Gigas) ignore these things and you could easily run all Blue Zone only worring for Reapers, but with the Giga bite bleed you could take them out easily, if it's too close to u just give them a nice tail whip
get high level steggo and spike walls, go to blue zone get mega, breed about 8 and go massacre the rock drakes, done

We did a run for that spot on ASE recently as a test and definitely more than raptors spawn there. I died quite a few times 😆

personally id rather just build in blue zone near a package drop for uploading and switching servers
I never knew that , I just avoided all those red mushrooms
I'm not gonna bother with a green zone spot. I'll secure spino spawns and build my base in the blue zone right away where i don't have such a big contest with others to get a spot.
I just hope we don't have to wait as long for the server again. I'll gladly take a few minutes before servers to scout the areas i plan on going to, but other than that... The longer it takes, the more people will be there when the server drops.
So the edge 1 now has ravager spawns in it.
Edge spawn on the original ab release was instant kick players from server.

That is my usual base spot... That river is good to get xp for your reaper babies. I run through it with my rock drake and instant 75+ levels to the reapers babies.
How does a rock drake give xp to reaper babies??
@@DannyTom-ARK_N1C when you kill stuff while impregnated with the reaper baby, you get xp. regardless how you do it. by yourself or by a dino you are riding.

do you have insider knowledge that asa is exactly the same map spawn/layout as ase?
No he does not
layout wont change much like center/SE /island layout is the same only it will be different graphics wise and may be caves will chance a bit but we'll have to see

Oh by the way, the xp ...
I do believe they reduced the xp for spino kills, but they *gave* a ridiculous amount of xp. I just sat on my own spino and went berserk on every wild spino i could find, forget the fish if you got a decent spino/saddle
But again, i think they reduced the xp for those which would be pretty sad

It was a great spot till I realized how annoying the new dino that spawns there that's freak'in impossible to deal with right off the bat.
the second edge with the ramp to the blue zone is better because it has all the ressources u need and you can easily tame a megalosaurus there which r insanely strong early game. there is more pve but just craft some fcking bolas its not that hard

i think me and my friend will start with a deinosuchus instead of the spino since there better and require no tranqs

Keep in mind they most likely changed locations of a lot of material based things like they have with all maps so far

Well, unfortunately the Abemaps will be totally overcrowded at the beginning, which makes all the tips useless, especially if you get a server where a Megatribe is hanging around. I prefer to stick with my rathole tactic and the first thing I will tame are ravagers, with siplines you can get to really good ratholes, but either way I will assume that you will often lose everything, especially at the beginning, so it will only really get going when the servers open
There's going to be so many new metas for asa abb, no offense but imo this video is going to be irrelevant being based off ase abb.

It's always been contested, but even more so now
