Will be doing my first 2022 F350 XLT 2x4 dully by my self tomorrow. We normally have it done at the dealer when we're RV'ing, but now, we have a home again so I can do it my self now till we get on the road again next winter. We tow a 42 foot 5th wheel when we're traveling. Factory ordered Oct 2021, waited 6 months! She's got 43000 on and it's be a great truck.

You should use the valve to drain it before you unbolt it for less mess. Also you should drain it every oil change to remove any water. Nice Truck!

You are 1000% correct. Sometimes the brain just doesn’t think… lol thank you for watching.

@@HappyTailsRVing Yes the cost at the dealer is crazy! I work at KTP and even with my discount its cheaper to do it yourself! Thank you for buying a Super Duty I hope it serves you well!

Seriously THANK YOU for posting this. I just had the shock at the dealership as well when they told me how much it was going to be for them to do it, lol. Looks like something I can easily manage now thanks to your video. REALLY appreciate it!

Thank you for the video. It is very informative…good info. Two comments/questions: 1.) Why didn’t you open the yellow petcock first to drain off most of the fuel before breaking the five housing bolts on the tank fuel filter? Seems to me this would be considerably less messy. 2.) The recommended torque on the five fuel filter housing bolts is 7 ft. lbs. If someone is going to perform this service their self, why not remove the over-tightening risk and guesswork of reinstalling these bolts by using a torque wrench to retighten them?

How long did it take for the hard cranking to go away? Mine is still hard cranking after day 3

Really didn’t have the hard cranking, I did notice just a tad longer startup but as I recall that disappeared and back to normal after a few days. I would try to cycle the key again a few times and see if that helps. Also make sure all your fittings have snapped in place just to make sure you don’t have any air bleed by. Hope that helps.
