Toontrack has a big sale going on today.... Pulled the trigger and ordered Modern Metal per your recommendation. Excited to hear how it sounds in one of my mixes. Seems like a very versatile kit. Thanks again, DuFFuL!
@@DuFFuL I am about to purchase EZDrummer3 to specifically record metal/death metal. I know that I'd need to get an expansion to get the sounds I want. I now have and according to your videos, "death metal, made of metal, metal!, drums of destruction. If I have to keep one it would be DRUMS OF DESTRUCTION... all the presets are varied and fantastic and stick to a fat guitar sound (peavey 6505/ gibson) even if the grooves are unusable. DEATH METAL is great too, lots of ambiance, but sometimes you have to lower the reverb a little, the grooves are not very usable for heavy metal on the other hand. MADE OF METAL has a great sound but sounds a little muddy with my guitar sound, but good after a few adjustments, notably by lowering the sound of the hi-hat which takes up too much space. The grooves are great! METAL! I don't know enough yet, it sounds older than the others but seems good for working on a new piece with its very dry sound, but I think I would try to choose another kit for the final demo...but I don't don't know him well enough yet.
Man that’s a great analysis! I fully agree with death metal having way too much reverb. It’s the one thing I can’t stand about it. The problem is that I love it on the snare but wish I could turn the reverb down on the toms separately!!! It’s the one thing that has always frustrated me about ezdrummer as a whole. I really wish they had a reverb knob for each kit piece. Put it right next to the volume and tuning knob when you click on something. That would be amazing. It would honestly be a game changer for ezdrummer in my opinion.
@@DuFFuL I'm guessing they don't want to add too many features to the plugin, so that Superior Drummer will still be relevant. You could always just route the snare to a separate mixing channel and put reverb on the snare though

@@MRRVADrums it could mean that the library has installed to a different place then where it should have. Which shouldn’t really happen if you are using the manager.
There are two drop down menus in the top right, you are using the one on the left where you choose the expansion? I know it’s a silly question but I’m just trying to work it out. Also do you own other expansions or is this you first one?
@@lauridsen1381 I used to that but was looking to simplify my workflow. I guess that's why I've been loving perfect drums so much lately!
My friend sent me this coz he thinks you're my dad. Are you my dad?

Metal Machine - good, оld workhorse. There would also be cymbals made of "death metal", although...
Can always be replaced😉🤘💙💛💪✌️
@@ІгорПавловський-ш3з I still love Metal machine. The snares sound damn amazing to this day!!!
@DuFFuL Yes, it is... Old, but remote.😁
