Thanks again for the very kind words on Monarch! Really appreciate it, and happy you enjoyed it. The snare sounded great in your demo, and definitely looking forward to hearing your thoughts on future kits. And yes, library size is at the top of our list moving forward. Monarch is very dynamic and has a lot of round robins compared to other libraries, but I think we can get away with a few less for future instruments, especially if it helps with installs and storage. Thanks again, and keep us posted if you have any other feedback.
@@rsdrumsofficial honestly the size really doesn’t bother me at all. I just like to bring it to people’s attention because I know that some people might not be able to even install it due to space limitations. You really do have amazing products. I’m going to do some follow up videos on both kits in a month or so. I really want to give more thoughts on them when I have used them more. Thanks again guys!!
@@DuFFuL Yea for sure. I would definitely like to focus on library size moving forward. The big struggle is balancing how many round robins to include vs how dynamic the kit is (velocities per element). It's all great feedback though and a good learning process for us. And follow-up videos would be amazing! Would really like to hear your thoughts on Monarch after you've had more time with it.
@@rsdrumsofficial For sure I will be doing those follow ups mate. Your product is amazing. You guys got me excited about drum programs again. The market was getting a little bland hahaha
I think that you will find the sweet spot in this kit for your preferred mix sound... you'll dial it in and get your signature "DuFFuL" sound...this kit really does sound phenomenal. I think that I heard you mention that you could place pieces from the Fairview kit into the Monarch kit if you desire to do so. I'll definitely be picking up this kit sometime soon. It just sounds too good not to have for myself ... 😂 *Quick question...do you have a favorite factory or artist preset on the Soldano SLO 100 X suite? I usually just plug in and go with "All Around" to start with. Thanks again, you're a Legend.
They are amazing drums for sure man. I like them more now that I have worked out my snare tone better. As for presets in Soldano, I really like the Typical preset from Keyan Houshmand. I used that as the basis for my own tone. Then I tweaked it a bit to suit me and my guitar a bit more. For cleans I really like the NDSP preset called Clean Chorus I think it is. Love that tone for cleans! Amazing. Again you have to tweak for personal taste.
hahahah yeh man it's a brutal size. Apparently, they are working on that so hopefully their next release will be a bit more manageable. Thanks for the kind words as well!
Im not super opposed to big chonky library sizes. Internal or external storage is pretty damn affordable, and you can get a lot nowadays. But yeah, some people dont have that option, mainly broke laptops, guys. But it's really only valuable if you can feel how smooth the velocity curves are and if the hits feel more natural from having more round robins. Fairview really made me happy, I can't wait to give Monarch a try. Thank you for the demo and overview! 🤟
They definitely have 2 great products under their belt, and I would have to say that if you were impressed with the Fairview kit, you will definitely like this one!
To me the snare(s) sounds like it was recorded/sampled with a low tuning on the batter head and a loose snare strainer tension. Not bad , just different sounding.
Yeh that's what I felt as well. As I said in my video, it's not a program problem. Just a me problem. Not every program is going to have the exact kit pieces I want to hear but in the end, I ended up happy with the mix I got.

I liked the older longer version of your intro song better.
I did to but I think people got bored of waiting for the video to start lol!
