- Last drift competition of the year was a wild one!!! I managed to “destroy” another corvette (I kid… kinda..), AND ended up jumping in a new car right before competition !! Huge thank you to @VaughnGittinJr & the @FunHaver crew for loaning me the FUN-HAVER Fox Body Mustang for the last round of @KlutchKickers ! 🦊🔥 and congrats to @AdamLZ for securing 2nd in the championship this weekend, proud of u! ❤️🏁

Whenever she feels down Adam is there to boost her spirit and comfort. Absolutely rocking it, new platform and still performed well!
Also reminder that this small diva drove a monstertruck in comp!
Just remember - A Giraffe has driven that car - just having enough adjustability that Ol' Cleeter and Collete can drive the same car is amazing in and of itself, nevermind the abuse that thing takes and still goes out and shreds....

You did awesome Collete! That was wicked nice for the FunHaver crew to provide a backup ride, kudos to Vaughn! AND I'm so blown away by how well you and Adam communicate and support each other. I would have a hard time receiving the criticisms because of my own disappointment but you take it the right way and improve every time!
Hey Collete, just wanted to say that I'm proud of you for sticking with it through the strugglebus first day. We could all tell you were frustrated but atleast you were out there, gaining new experience and giving it your best. Keep getting seat time and listening to Adam's tips and you will keep on improving! 👍

Says something about the talent of Cleetus, He jumps in and rips it how he gets it. Surprised you didn't try the different tyre ratio on practice when you had to much front grip. Good job, to you and to Vaughn Gitten Jr for allowing you the use of the Freedom Stang
The fox body is a extremely good drift car that most people would never think about , it is one of the best kept secrets in the drifting community

It's impressive for you to just hop in a car you've never driven, on a platform you've never competed in, with a setup you've never experienced and compete. That was fun to watch, Collete. Great job.

Vaughn is a Boss Fun-haver! Cool that he actualy let you take his car to have fun, that is praticing what you preach right there. And you did great adjusting to a complete different car, of course you don't want to switch during competition, but the experience is realy priceless. Adam pointed that out realy well. He is such a great support. You make a sweet couple. Drifting is first about fun, second comp😉 and you had fun! Awesome content. Love and greetings from Holland 🙏💓

All that matters is that you went out in a car you'd never drove or planned on driving. Qualified, (which many couldn't in their own cars) competed and gave it all you could. That's what makes you a good competitor. Great job Collete!

Man I really wanna see Collete drive a high hp dialed car. Getting a car dialed at that level must be difficult. I’m only running 350whp and I run into an occasional mechanical issue.
Honestly this is the common problem, people want high hp cars to drift with instead of learning all the basics and getting really comfortable, and growing muscle memory first.
@Kenneth Willis this is the same thing I tell everyone, get a middle, make it reliable as possible and give it some angle, take the upgrades slow and make them count, don't build an FD pro 1 car and then try to learn. You'll never be as good as if you learn to control it slowly
Think y’all missed the point. She needs a car that’s reliable, the 350z was the learner car. She needs to step up to a reliable 500-600hp now. Her corvette seems to have reliability issues. The FC is wild but might need more track time to iron out everything that’s going to break for being a crazy platform

Kudos on finding your inner mad wheelman. the fun-haver fox doesn't do timid. I wanted to watch your vid for feedback but that's what it looked like this weekend. growing into chucking the car in and knowing it will take it. Agree with Adam. new car experiences grow experience quickly.
To have the opportunity to drive one of Vaughn Gittin Jr's and RTR, your first-year competitive drifting is pretty amazing. It's been awesome watching you build, learn and HAVE FUN!

I run a inline on my Z and im constantly going back and forth on whether to pull the trigger on doing a DC setup instead. Inline is wonky when youre used to tapping the footbrake and pulling the handbrake at the same time because in inline its one or the other cant do both because one is guaranteed not working because one will just be solid when you pull the other and just mess your timing all up. Great job adapting though! Looked like you started to get the hang of it
driving was looking really good. not bad at all considering you had car issues and you still got to put in a ton of laps AND learn a new car setup. very valuable seat time you got there

That was cool. I liked that follow in comp. Close but safe. Good driving. Ya the understeer, it happens. (all the time in a fox haha) Definitely a good reason to know a car well before entry with wall, curb etc.. street drifts especially.

yo competing in an unknown car, no matter the outcome it's an incredibly valuable/unique seat time opportunity. A lot of people don't take into consideration that handling the pressure of so many eyes on you says a lot about character. GG go next!
To be able to jump into a completely different platform and be able to drive it around the track it's pretty impressive fox bodies are known for being very different to drive compared to newer Mustangs so I think you did an amazing job can't wait to see you out there with one of your own cars fully sorted

I love foxes. Had a few growing up and have a 03 cobra now. Going to try and get a project fox again
I really hate those internal concentric style slave cylinders, my Infiniti G37S has (well, had) the same kinda thing. When mine went out, I opted to put in a relocation kit that converts it to an external slave and old school clutch fork so I'd never have to drop the trans for what should be a quick part replacement again. I got lucky on my platform though, since the JK Nissan trans is so closely related to the CD009 (and previous iterations) it still has a large opening that allows for a clutch fork to stick out. Not sure if a Corvette is at all similar in that way but thought I'd throw that out there at least for other 370z/G37S owners

Damn you learn fast. I think I just said the same about Hailie Deagan after she had a go at drifting at the Freedom Factory - I hope women aren't faster learners than us cos that'd suck! 😬 This was fun to watch, qualifying at all under those circumstances is nuts. Just the position of the hand brake and shifter alone seem like something you'd need to be EXACTLY where you usually find them.
i think collet did a great job not knowing what she was driving till day of... personally i think it was better she drove the fun haver and not trevs vett... this was a great experience. cant wait to see her in the rotary!

The Fun-Haver foxbody is definitely a different animal than what she's used to. She just needs more practice to get comfortable with its limits. Either way she still learned quickly and did a great job.

Always had a soft spot for the later Foxes when I was young, are they still "relatively" inexpensive? I'm in no position right now for yet another car, so I'm not going to tempt myself by looking at for sale ads... but my friend's 800hp twin turbo Fox has me feeling some type of way.
Yea right I had a 25th anniversary car # 33 outta 250 with my option package......it was lx 5.0 foxbody...in 2000 we bought for $1200....I junked the carcin 03 cause it needed a Trans and rear-end..should have kept it..there over 5k with rust barely running...crazy how rare and expensive cars are now
