    Let me know which combination you would like to see when I will test the performance parts. I will only read the reply to this comment for the selections. If you want to support this channel, consider purchasing your parts from Maximum Parts, Thank you. gokart.maximum.parts/

      i have a 150cc hammer head 200 i want to add performance part but idk what set up to get so what is the best setup for something that will be played in mud with

    • @maximumparts
      @maximumparts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hectorgarcia7600 I would go with light rollers / sliders, 1000 or 1500 rpm torque spring. As for the clutch spring, it will depend on you on how fast the engine will have to rev up before the clutch engage. If you go to low on the rollers / sliders, you will lose more of the high speed. You need to find the perfect match on how you will drive the machine. You can create an account on our website and add to cart the parts you think you will need. Soon this is done, send us an email and we will look over with you before you purchase anything.

      I have a 150 cc scooter, the engine have been rebuild and have a nice compretion. I just upgrade it with performace carburetor and performance centrifugal clutch, but now my top speed is down and hard to reach 100km/h. I have jetting the carburetor and i think its correct. Now i think the cvt have a problem. My variator its new with 15 gram rollers, but my scooter seems to have no power. I want to have good torque at lower revs, enough power in middle revs, and high top speed too. Do you have any recommendations to upgrade my cvt?

      @@danaranalengpe9079 This is a lots of testing. One thing you could do is to put the original CVT in. Here's why, that way you will know if the carburetor changes you did help or make it worst. Soon you have that fix, you will be able to play with the CVT. I think that changing both a the same time make it harder for you to figure out. But yes, I played with my own CVT on my machine and I change a lots and make multiple test.

      Nice video and excellent explanation. I own a hammerhead LE 150 with a similar rpm stock numbers you mentioned as per the manual plus stock 13g rollers (not sure, this is what google told me). The take off acceleration is ok, but gets noticeably weaker around 23-25+ upto max speed of 37 mph. If you could advice me on a good setup of clutch springs/variator sliders weight to improve the acceleration while maintaining a safe rpm of the engine? Mostly flat/sandy roads with very minimal small hills

    That's a great tutorial video. Thank you. Quick one for you though. My son and I are riding ATVs with GY6 1P63QML so with already a big bore of 63mm.(177cc / 11hp @ 7500rpm / 10.5N.m @ 6000rpm)
    We do ride in the desert, mainly in the dunes, and I want to tune our CVTs accordingly (and sprockets eventually) but I was wondering, would it make sense to get the below combo :
    - 10g/11g sliders
    - 2000rpm torque spring to upshift later and downshift faster
    - 1000rpm clutch shoe springs to still get early engagement from the clutch
    Thanks in advance for your advices
    Cheers

    You mention a setup for more low end torque / dunes, but not sure if I missed what you recommended for that environment. Currently I have 12 gram weights and yellow 1500 rpm spring and I’m struggling on hills and soft dirt. What change should I make to gain the most torque ?

    Great video I'd like to know what did you make your pulley compression mechanism out of? That's a great idea for the spring not to pop up?

    • @maximumparts

      It's two plates with two bolts. That was in a pill of junk metal in the corner of the shop-nothing special. I did some before putting my two feet on top of the clutch, and if you slip, the clutch comes up. It is the same when you try to put the nut on top; if you cross-thread, you are out of luck again.
      It takes a little longer to tighten the two nuts slowly, but the result is always good.

    Great video!! I just got my daughter a 2020 dongfang 200cc go kart. It seems to have trouble going up hill or over bumps and I can smell the clutch at times. Is there any maintenance or checking I can do to prevent this? Do you sell clutches for this model? Thank you

    • @maximumparts
      @maximumparts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! The clutch is probably not engaging all the way. This happen if the driver is light on the throttle pedal. If you change the roller for lighter one, the machine will not go as fast but will climb hill better. As for the clutch slipping, if you change the 3 clutch spring for 1000 RPM, the clutch will engage at lower RPM. That should fix some of your problem for sure. As for the parts you might need, send me an email with some pictures and we can compare to make sure what I have in stock will work for your machine before you buy.

    What would be the effect of installing a 1500 big spring but not installing the three yellow arm springs? Thanks and great video.

    • @maximumparts
      @maximumparts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @James Timmons The big spring / torque spring will delay when the machine will change in higher gear. Mean higher the value of the torque spring, the longer it will stay in lower gear. This spring is related with the rollers weight that are install in the variator. The 3 clutch springs are only related with when the clutch will engage and make your machine start moving.

    I have a Trailmaster 200 xrx with reverse... Will I need to remove the tire or just the exhaust? I don't have any way of taking out the entire engine sadly. I think the belts blown because it starts and the buggy won't move. Thanks for the video and any info you can give me.

      Good chance, it's the same base engine and it will work. The 200cc is an oversize engine from the GY6 150.

    How would you recommend me mod my ATVs CVT? The problem I have is that it is way direct in the throttle. I use it in the yard and it is almost impossible to reverse safely etc. So I would like to mod to make it as spongy as possible in the start.

    • @maximumparts
      @maximumparts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Dalle Good questions. The carburetor on the go kart are like a throttle body, when you push the pedal it open the air intake and it move a piston with a needle up and down. This is smoother than a throttle cable connect directly to the piston / needle pulling it up and down.
      As for the CVT, I would go with lighter variator weight, I would change the clutch spring to engage faster 1000 RPM, for the torque spring you can go with a heavier spring 1500 RPM. What SHOULD happen is, it will engage faster at lower RPM. Mean the engine will not rev as high before you engage and also won't be at the higher horsepower on the curve. I think this is what give you trouble in reverse. The torque spring at 1500 RPM will keep it to lower ratio and you will need more RPM to go faster. The result should be, you won't go as fast but you will have more torque to move the machine and if you need to pull something.
      If you check on my channel, I installed a blade on my go kart to push snow. This is a 150cc engine and I switched things around for the CVT. I use lighter weight as when I push the snow, I don't want to go fast but use a higher RPM to keep the machine in the peak horsepower. I used a heavier torque spring so the machine stay in lower gear longer.
      This is a lots of testing but eventually you find the perfect sweet spot.

    NOTICE - Be very careful taking apart the clutch! The spring is under a lot of tension. When the nut is removed the clutch disc can fly up and smack you in the head leaving you with a nasty cut on your face with bruise or worse.

      I have a Trailmaster 300 xrs 4e. It has a 276cc engine with 17 max hp The CVT is the same as in the video but seems to be bigger. For example the nut on the driven is 44 mm instead of 38 mm. Does it use the same clutch and torque springs as a 150cc setup?
