i worked at that show, that's me in the orange shirt at the :42 mark across the aisle waving my arms for some reason. I tried to talk to that guy several times during the show, same response. Very guarded and reserved. Nice trailer though. Probably one of my favorites there.

We've had an Ultimate Dump for about 2 years now. Great concept, poor execution. Love the ramp, especially for loading and unloading equipment. We haul a skid steer or a e35 mini x. The ramp makes it very easy to load and unload. Also wheelbarrow friendly unlike most other ramps, it's a little steep but at least you can roll a wheel barrow on it. All the other ramps I've seen are angle steel. not good for wheel barrows at all. Love the fold down side's when loading concrete demo. Easy to lift big pieces over the side SET them in the trailer. Cargo cover with arms works very well, makes covering much easier and quicker than most trailers. Hydraulic leg awesome! Dumping has never really been a problem when everything is working properly, explanation coming. It's GVRW is 14500lbs. It weigh's about 4500lbs. So technically your not supposed to haul over 10'000lbs. We have routinely hauled 5 tons and never had a problem dumping.
    Now the bad...
First year the battery took a crap. In their defense it says right on the battery "complimentary battery". We replaced it with a Blue Top and a solar charger and it solved our problem. We'll dump 5 loads with 5 tons per load in a day with no problems.
First year we got a hydraulic leak. It was a fitting that needed to be tightened which normally would be an easy fix but since they run the hydraulic lines inside the boxed frame it makes getting to some of the fitting a pain in the ass.
2nd year the hydraulic pump burnt up. The windings inside the pump arced together and fried the motor.
3 months after that the hydraulic selector valves took a crap. We would raise the ramp to dump but when we started dumping the ramp would come down so we would have to stop dumping to raise the ramp back up 2 or 3 times each load. And then the trailer leg would come down as well while we were dumping. Since the hydraulic pressure was leaking to place's other than the dump ram it would take much longer to dump, couldn't dump as much and would drain the battery after 2 dumps.
During that time the ramp wouldn't close right. We assumed it was due to the hydraulic issues. Turns out the 2 pins at the top of the ramp were bent and had to be replaced.
Almost forgot, we also had one of the leaf springs break. Where the leaf spring connects to the front shackle, the loop in the leaf spring where the bolt go's threw snapped off.
Again in their defense, they covered everything but the battery which was understandable, sort of.
Randy with customer support was great. When the hydraulic motor burnt up he had a new to us in a few days. We choose to fix it ourselves because we didn't want the trailer sitting in a repair shop for 3 weeks.
He also got everything else fixed under warranty which was great.
My biggest problem is, when you pay almost twice what most other trailers that size cost you should not have to deal with that many issues in the first 2 years. We usually only used it 3 or 4 days a month so it's not like we were beating the crap out of it everyday. When everything is operating properly the Ultimate dump is an awesome trailer. I think the quality of the parts just needs to drastically improve.
This was much longer than I meant for it to be but there it is.

With things like the electric lift for gooseneck trailers, a lot of people will only consider the cost of doing something, or the cost of not doing something, and fail to look at both aspects.
Sure, the electrics are more expensive in the short term, but over time the time savings from not having the driver crank may be of a lot more benefit - especially if there's frequent hitching/unhitching involved.
Then there's the physical/health aspects, it means a worker who has a lighter build can't be injured cranking a heavy load and/or if the driver's carrying an injury it won't be a problem.
That "unltimate" tailgate is cool, and I like the high pivot point for the bottom opening. The trade off for the slower opening may be worth it as it should stop binding and/or sudden opening that can be a problem with simple manual locks where the load is against the gate.

That Cobra liner looks BAD-A$$. That should just be standard on a dump trailer. Especially for that little amount of money$$$$ probably help prevent rust/corrosion up here in MN!!! 😎👍 Midsota trailers offers front rock coating on the face of the dump, framing in front, and fenders. But not the whole thing. Luv the vids Stan.

They could probably make that blue tailgate a 3 way by adding a hinge on the hydraulic side allowing the whole gate assembly to swing around maybe 200 degrees. With a double hinge they could swing to be parallel to the side of the trailer.

We bought the trailer back in 2015, back then they where only 12k now looking around they have nearly doubled in price. That being said it is an amazing trailer. It has held up well because I’ve definitely at times over loaded it. The double acting gate is great, most times we use a stand on mini skid steer and simply drive any large debris up the ramp and dump it inside the trailer, over the years it’s only bound up when dumping on the gate a couple times but no big deal. Overall it’s made life much easier definitely recommend the ultimate dump.
