- Shinsekai: Into the Depths is an action-based deep-sea exploration game in which players assume the role of the last-surviving human being who must venture into an unexplored, aquatic world. During their exploration in Shinsekai: Into the Depths, players can collect resources that will allow them to upgrade their gear, craft new items and advance deeper into the abyss. Divers will need to keep a close eye on their oxygen and pressure levels as they further explore this enchanting world and discover mysterious ruins. Diving into this underwater platform game is easy for players of all skill levels to do, but surviving the deep sea is difficult to master and will challenge the most experienced divers.

Getting Metroidvania vibes, except the entire game is one of those water levels that frustrates you and scares you to death.
Kind of intriguing though.

I played it in the Apple Arcade and gotta say, this game is something else. The mechanics are good, music and sound design are amazing and the story is actually pretty cool (especially the ending). The game should deserve more attention

Games with water and titan sized beasts are my jam. Probably why I loved subnautica so much. Good mix of both
environmental design looks stunning.
I picked it up... everything seems pretty awesome 30 mins in and no regrets.
Does it play like other Metroidvanias? Where exploration is non-linear and progress is locked behind upgrades?
I picked it up last night and played it for 4 hours straight! It is like an under water metroidvania meets blaster master! With a heavy emphasis on blaster master. Love it.

It’s a superb game, i hope it goes well here.
I played this on Apple Arcade and completed it just before the Switch release and I gotta say, it's become one of my all time favourite games. Not only is is addictive to explore, but the whole experience is like a rollercoaster. I'm glad it got ported on the switch with a new time trial mode. Anyone thinking of playing this, definitely give it a go. It's amazing with headphones too!
Games like this remind me of Solar Jetman, which was a *criminally* underrated NES game.

I hope so too. I love having physical copies they last forever if you take care of them. Except for wii u discs, look at em funny and they just stop working.

Graphic design reminds of "cradle". Love it.

I loved this game. Arcade has a few chosen gems of games. And this is definitely one of them. Including SAMURAI JACK, THE LAST CAMPFIRE, CREAKS and NEVERSONG

Bought it on sale in the E-shop the other day for 10 bucks and absolutely love this game (WEAR HEADPHONES to immerse yourself in the environment and perfect soundtrack! )

It is very much like a Metroid game, except with air managment, crafting, and of course underwater physics. But it doesn't feel bad to me, just intentionally floaty and weighted.
The tune at the beginning sounded like kakiriko village from botw

I'm not 100% sure about the japanese seal script characters in the logo, but if "Shinsekai" has the most common meaning of words shin and sekai, it translates to
"Brand new world"
