  • Halo 3: Combat Evolved supports up-to 4 players in online co-op which means you can take along 2 other friends for the ride! I've been repurposing some cut encounters for co-op instead of mashing everything together regardless of player count so that 2+ player sessions have a bit more enemies to account for the higher player count.
    FYI the footage in the start is brightend up, the actual mission is quite dark on default gamma.

    I think what this needs next is a cohesive sound design goal. Hearing old stock effects mixed with Halo 3 sounds can be really jarring. The Grunts speaking English alongside the crazed Marines especially feels too slapstick. If you can get the audio quality to match the gorgeous visuals you'll have a hell of a remake on your hands

      i like the ce sounds for the weapons but i do agree about the dialogue. the voices should be ce’s the halo 3 elites sound super goofy in comparison to ce’s and arent as satisfying to kill

      @@peradolia yeah. 3’s elites are the most Johnsony sounding of the trilogy, which is a stark contrast to the cool voiced ones like R’tas, Arby, and the Norm Woodel variant from Halo 2

    I think a cool detail would be to make every co-op chief have a different shades of green taken from every MC design across the franchise, the original CE pale green, the saturated green from 2, the yellowish one from 3 and the dark one from 4.
    Either that or do what doom did in the 90's and make the other 3 players red, blue and yellow.
    Since H3 already has a different model for each Co-op character already, I think this could be unique to let friends differentiate each other for recovering their weapons or just to have "Hey here is Carl's dead body haha" moments.

    I like to imagine this is what it looks like wen a Spartan team hijacks a covenant ship in the lore. Just going through and fucking shit up taking the bridge and now it’s there’s 😂.

    Nice work there, I imagine 4 players in such a small map would break havoc and speedrun the levels.
    Also I wanted to ask you, when did you get into the modding scene?

      I first started playing around with Halo modding when Halo 3 released on PC so the summer of 2020, up until the official mod tools dropped I occasionally made and released a couple of small mods using Assembly which those videos should still be up on my channel if you scroll back far enough lol. After the official tools released I started to take TH-cam and modding seriously :)

    players 3 and 4 should be ODSTs with no shields but 200% health, player 2 is just Linda in an alternate timeline where she wasn't so wounded on Reach.

      He switched to ODST's engine instead of 3, so there is no radar. Not worth the tradeoff imo

    The one question I would have for the person making this mod: If there is going to be a four-player coop for all ten missions, then what about the Warthog in the second mission? The Warthog can only fit three people.

      Because the Halo 3 elites weren’t made to be fought and their A.I is inferior to that of the previous two games .

    Is there a difference in difficulty or enemy count playing solo versus lets say 4 people. Like a solo difficulty, let's say legendary it plays as legendary Halo back in 2001, then a 2 player coop, enemy count increased, maybe damage player takes is amped up, 3 player, this modified x3 and 4 player, this modified x4. The 4 player co-op is badass, but it makes the game play like cheese, considering the original CE on legendary was already easy to beat in of itself.

      Yeah I agree, she needs to add more enemies for every encounter to get everyone involved (because alot of the time she kind of brushed her way through the encounters way too easily by herself), she needs to use creativity now by adding more enemies, now that the level design is done.
      Another option is to change the health and shields of the enemies to make them more tanky possibly but then you may as well put Mythic and Thundestorm Skulls on. So I think more enemies are needed instead.

      @@Finger112 Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. More enemies per encounter, make the AI play smarter, fire faster, more vehicles, AI have more awareness, but like you said you could always put on skulls, the problem with skulls is they increase the fire rate and the awareness too much where it makes the game impossible to play,.
      Maybe tone down the stats of the debuffs the skulls offer to make the experience challenging but not deity mode, that combined with more enemies, turrets, vehicles, etc. per encounter and you'll have an enjoyable challenging experience. On top of a challenging base experience, you can also turn on the skulls to amplify it if you and your friends want to play campaign with enemies on god mode, I think it would be pretty challenging to have a 4 player difficulty base campaign experience plus turning on the skulls to already amplify the increased coop difficulty.

      Mods are PC only unfortunately, but MCC does get quite cheap during the Steam sales.

    Hey Kashiiera this looks great however some feedback, this still plays too easy like your playing on solo/2 players and not 4 players and needs to be made more challenging with more enemies, frankly the encounters should be full to the rim on 4 player coop of enemies inside the ship! You might want to look at Halo 4 Spartan Ops's enemy compositions per each encounter, because right now that is setup for 4 player coop on default no matter if your playing solo or up to 3 players. Even though the maps are way more open compared to CE, that should give you an idea of how to scale the encounters more, because right this still looks too easy on 4 players.
    I don't want to discourage you, just giving feedback based on what I am seeing here.
    The mod tools should open the Spartan Ops maps for Halo 4.

    You are doing great, but please remove lighting bloom or make it optional. It was terrible in Halo ODST
