Good Sunday Ben! The grilled chicken & salmon, nice salad with olive, avocado, tomato, lettuces, boiled egg, cheese, and steamed squash look so healthy and good! The salad dressing can be made easily 1:2 vinegar & oil. You can easily grow leafy lettuces in the container and it does grows will in the sunny balcony!

I did an entire research project on fast food vs healthy options. People can’t say we need to stop eating fast food if healthy food cost 6x as much. Big problem in my opinion.

Fruits are INSANE in korea. It is such a small land with a huge population so they dont have room for farming so they have to import a lot. That is why it is cheaper to eat outside in korea rather cook at home. In america it is the opposite, cheaper to cook at home because of so much land to farm. It is relatively cheap to cook semi-healthy food (compared fast food junk at least) and eat at home in the states. Just people dont put in the effort, dont have time, or are addicted to junk food.

Hi Ben, I live in FL not a vegan but I eat a lot of vegetables 🍅 🌽 🌶 🥬 with my meals. 40 dollars 💵 is definitely too much for the meal you ate. Vegetables here are pretty much priced reasonably in the supermarkets here in Tampa. I also buy a lot at Sams club and Costco. I can get a bag of 5-6 avocados for $3.98 less than a dollar each bags of peppers 🌶 for $4.48 or $5.48 depending on the pepper size and color the green peppers are cheaper than the red yellow and orange ones. Lettuce 🥬 you name the one you want they can fluctuate between $1.48 to not even $3. Eggs 2 -18C for $4.68, bananas 🍌 choosing the bunch you like $1.38, sweet onions 10 pounds $6.98. I buy almond milk 🥛 I buy the four 1/2 galón for $7.98 and whole milk for $3.74. I can go on if you’d like but these are standard prices not specials so if you do consider visiting Winn✔️Dixie or even Walmart looking into their specials you would even get better prices. Definitely here in the states food is much cheaper. Ben if you even consider visiting local farms you’d be eating 🍌 🍎 🍉 fruits and veggies 🌶 🌽 🍅 day in and day out with no regrets money wise. As far as healthy food price it really depends on what you're buying. $40 is ghastly. But for $40 at a grocery store I can get enough vegetables to feed myself for 2 weeks. Not sure what prices are in korea, but where I live in the states. 89 cent a lb for cabbage, $1 lettuce, $1.30 tomato, 55 cent bananas per lb, $1 sweet potato and even a family sized pack of organic spinach is only gonna cost you about $3.50 and fresh chicken is only $4. Eating healthy on a budget isn't hard you just have to plan what you're going to eat so you don't overspend trying to compensate for quick meals. $3 oatmeal, $1 worth of banana, $2 eggs = pancakes for a week at the low cost of $6 :)

I'm assuming it's because growing vegetables requires more labour and is more time consuming, added to the fact that vegetables at supermarkets do rot quicker. Fast food on the other hand is filled with crazy preservatives like a burger which has been proven to not rot for around a year! (although I don't really know anymore since veges nowadays probs has some nasty preservatives too and labour isn't as required anymore cuz of technology and companies.) other than that, society's probably just really fucked in terms of what they prioritise and promote. damn this salad eating video has really got me thinking huh, who knew.

In America, we have food deserts, what this means is that people don't have easily accessible cheap and healthy food, but you will find a few fast food restaurants and convenience stores nearby. if you look up the stats, almost 1 in 3 people are obese in both America and Mexico, and in many European countries 1 in 5 people are obese. it's become a huge problem that will only continue to worsen as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. It's v important to discuss these things, find the facts and raise awareness. I'm glad you brought it up! EDIT: and yes, my wording is correct, I mean obese, not even overweight! it's fucked.

Things like dried oats, rice, beans, whole grain pasta, and whole grain bread are all healthy and cheap! Bananas, carrots, and potatoes are also very cheap! I’m lucky enough where certain grocery stores around me carry very cheap organic produce depending on the time of year but Ik that some people aren’t that lucky. I recommend buying frozen fruit + veggies! They are cheap and will save you a lot of money and are more convenient.
